  1. Definitly Fen'Harel for me and Corypheus. I liked him when he first entered the stage in the DLC and in Inquisition I outright loved this character. I'm really, really looking forward to the next part. And mostly because I want the chance to continue the story and see what happends. If they don't mess up the game play and keep it a triple A game it would be great, but if they do, I could somehow live with that as long as the story is great. But if the mess up the story...
  2. When you get up early to check the shard before work.
  3. Thank you. =)
  4. Thank you! I'm really looking forward to this round! There were so many great raps/ poems written the last time, I can't wait to read the entries this time. And of course writing one myself
  5. Mira hesitated, then decided to let him stand there. "If you want to, you can wait until she really wakes up." She waved a nurse over: "Look after her and fetch me if needed."
  6. Can you recommend a few songs? I looked them up on Youtube, and their not 100% my favourite kind of music, but their not that far away either and I'd like to listen to some of their songs.
  7. Is there still a space for me? Then I'd be Shai.
  8. Syen nodded and stood at an respectful distance. "I guessed you had to be someone important with all these soldiers around." She was silent for a minute, thinking about how to sum up what happened. "I haven't been part of the actual fighting, as I am no fighter but I've been to the city and helped the people there. In short the DA was attacked and their abominations are loose, killing everybody they can. There are of course soldiers of the Black Crusade and some of them have tentakles all over their bodies. Solace left in the same direction some TUBA members went and I haven't seen him since then. But his reserve entered the city not even an hour ago."
  9. Mira gave ihm a short nod. Not trusting hin. She then went over to the woman and checked her status.
  10. What I like best atm are the characters and their changes and motivations. I find the actual plot a bit hard to understand, with the game they're playing and the research and so on. I have a good guess what is going on, but then there are those historical scenes and I can't fit them in the picture.
  11. Girl? For a moment Syen wanted to say something, then she just nooded and pointed to a tent a few feet away. She hadn't been there, but she had seen some of the leaders enter it a few times. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to go in there, but decided that it didn't matter any more. "The strategy tent is over there." She got down from her horse, tied it to a pole, and looked at Essun when she grabbed her bag. "I'm too old to be called a girl." She complained quietly, while facing the horse, so that he couldn't see her lips moving. Essun only laughed and Syen sighed, then turned around, waiting for Tevarah to enter the tent, so that she could follow him.
  12. Syen would also put her money in here. She'll keep 100 on her person and leave the rest in the account.
  13. Hmm it's already weird. I plan to read the other half of the book in thursday, so that I can really her into the setting and don't have to put it away. I feel like that would make it easier to keep track with the story. And then I'll see if I like it or not.
  14. I'm definitly interested in the answers, as I supported the game after this news came out. It sounds interesting and I like this kind of game. And with a stormlight expansion to come along it was an easy decision.
  15. Mira nodded, then set to work. She looked over the woman carefully, listened to her breath, looking how each vein was placed. The injury was severe, and there wasn't much time left. But still she worked slowly, carfully, removing a part of her clothes, so that she could get a good impression of her body. Every body was different, but still somehow the same. She had to know the little specifics of this body, to get the stamp right. If she got it wrong, the woman would die. When she set to carve the stamp her breathing was steady, her hands calm. She closed her eyes for a moment, then began working. Her movements were quick, sure, showing the experience of a long life. It didn't take long, compared to creating a completetly new stamp at least, she had seen similar injuries before and therefore knew which pattern to base the stamp on. When she was finished she checked it and rechecked, before inking it and pressing it to the womans side. For half a heartbeat the world stood still, then the stamp took and the womand started breathing easier. A slight smile crept about Mira's face, the first in a row of days. It was there only for a moment, then vanished. She carefully pulled a blanket over the woman and turned to the man. "She will be fine. Thank you for carrying her here." She took a deep breath and set her carving tools aside, before facing the man with a stern look on her face. "Who and more specifically, what, are you?"
  16. Which is your favourite band?
  17. I just started reading the "Three body problem" by Cixin Liu and I'm about halfway finished. My brother recommended it and I thought I could try it. It has a really fascinating setting, and some interessting characters, but I'm not sure if I like or if I don't. Somehome I don't really get a grip on the plot. Well, I plan to finish reading it and maybe read the next part too. My brother usually likes the same books, and if he recommended it, that usually means something. Did anyone here read it?
  18. Mira hesitated a moment, astonished, that the man, she decided on man, until she knew what it was, wanted to help. "Do you know the extend of her injuries?" she asked him, while checking the breathing and the heartbeat, eyes narrowing. Especially the breathing didn't sound too well.
  19. A nurse knocked at the door and entered the room. "We have an emergency in the hallway." she annonced quietly and Mira nodded, shooing Hellbent out of the room, gesturing to the nurse to look after the young woman lying there. She then limped to the hallway and saw a strange man, or creature, she corrected herself, carrying a wounded woman. Frowning she went to the pair and threw a quick look and the patient. "Follow me. We need to lay her down, so that I can have a look." Giving the man a long, suspicius look she led them to a room only a few steps away.
  20. You're definitly right! Have a hug, too!
  21. That's sounds good. I am usually disappointed by movies based on books, because the books are better. Or the movies don't get the right feeling across.
  22. When Syen heard the Meekers she let out a sigh of relief. That meant someone was back at the camp, that meant more troops were possibly coming. And that meant, she maybe should explain why some inhabitant were heading that way. With a grimace she turned around and started running for the camp, keeping to the part of the Alleys she had been in during the last hours. Through pure luck she found an injured horse, healed it and climbed above. Galloping to the warcamp she arrived when just in time to see a figure upon a horse reaching the command tent. She reined in her horse a bit and checked her braid, hoping to offer a confident and calm picture. With a sigh she took in her bloodied and torn cloths. More likely she looked like beggar crawling through a sewer. She hesitated a moment, unsure how to proceed. "You can do that." Essuns voice was quiet, but comforting. "The moment I say something, they will all look at me. It's one thing to politely knock on a door. But this is something different." Essun sighed a bit. "They are already looking, Syen. Just tell them you can give them an update what happens in the city." Syen directed her horse a bit closer and forced herself to smile. "Hello. Do you need an update on whats happening in the city?" @Jehoiada
  23. Mira looked him over, then nodded. "Do it. You can also use investiture. If you know something that helps." With a last sceptical look at him she gestured to a bowl with water and other supplies. "Try it. I'll correct you before you accidently kill her."
  24. *goes to buy the book after work* I only watched the movie in the cinema and never even questionend if there was a book behind. Silly me.
