  1. "Sure." She grinned, removed her socks for better footing and bounced a few times. They hadn't warmed up, but then she doubted she'd have that time in a real fight either. Stepping up in front of him she bowed out of habit and then lifted her hands in a defensive stance, covering part of her upper body and face. Her eyes left his face, focused on a point on his breast bone. Taking another deep breath she inhaled some stormlight and then attacked him with a straight blow to his face. No need to go all out with the first attack. She used the stormlight to enhance her speed, while carefully checking her distance. If she hit she'd hopefully bruise not break his bones. They were sparring after all.
  2. "Sure." Shana stepped into the training room relaxed when she took a deep breath. She loved to spend her time here. Almost as good as doing some sport outside. "Practice weapons?" She asked him and threw him a bag with spheres, then slung her own over her shoulder, before securing it to her belt,to limit it's movement. She'd stolen the idea from a medieval quiver and used a carabine she could open quickly should the need arise.
  3. Lena stared at him for a while, unsure what to reply, her surprise clearly written on her face. She hadn't expected it, not from him. Especially not from him. "I think I could give it a try." She replied hesitantly, it smelled like trap. Probably he only wanted to keep her close to make sure she didn't betray him. But that was alright, and maybe she could really help them for a while. That Galvris guy would make for a great experiment - she stopped herself. Maybe some others first, strangers, those troubling them. If she wanted to see if that was a place for him, she couldn't experiment on them. She could do this, restrain herself. Lena smiled at Alask, one for few honest smiles. "Thank you." In a quieter voice she added: "I know my way around potions in general, not only the ones you know of. Maybe that can help. And I'm a rather useful cook."
  4. "Sure. What do you need me to do?" Shana saw him grabbing some food and followed his lead. Mahad stayed close, but she saw that he was excited from the way his body whirled around. And she wholeheartedly agreed. Sparing was about the best start of a day especially when you didn't need to go to school. She briefly thought of her homework, well she'd finished maths. For the rest, there was also a sunday.
  5. Let me know if you need some support.
  6. So we go to the lair, find some corpses/ bones. Maybe a survivor? Then we can follow the tendrils back to the main system, leave the city for that. Afterwards we'll see?
  7. "You're right." Asking that guy was a lot less risky and as soon as they knew what was going on, they could make an informed decision about whether to go upstairs or not. Maybe he even had some information about the doctor. "What happened in that room a few minutes ago?" She gestured towards the door at the end of the stairs. @Voidus
  8. Free will work fine. There can always be a species like that. So: we go there, do we want directly to discover the thing? Maybe finding the lair first and then go on to hunt it down (maybe in the woods as we have a lot of nature oriented characters around)?
  9. "Bill. Lives a bit outside of Greenhara." Kate carefully took the satchel. "Don't worry. I won't harm her."
  10. Lena looked at him surprised. "You're asking if I want to work with you?" She repeated quietly, unsure what to make of the situation. He hated her, why should he offer her something like that? Because he's a good person. She answered her own question. Or maybe he only wanted to keep her close, to observe her actions. She'd heard about the forge and their work, everybody spending a lot of time on the streets had. But did she really fit in there? And yet it sounded stable, if they succeeded, maybe it was a place where she could send him to learn a trade, offer him a good life instead of hers. He hadn't asked her to stop killing people, maybe if she started to focus on those threatening the forge? Could that work? Would he accept it? Probably not. He was no murderer, not like her at least. And yet she carefully observed him, waited for his answer.
  11. Mike looked at his notebook while thinking of an answer. "We shouldn't rush this. Find out what their skills are, especially their leaders. Then see if we can come up with a good plan." Thinking for a moment he added. "I already asked him a question, but he ignored me. So I guess you need to ask." "You should establish youself as leader, show him you're as strong as he is. Maybe order me to show him around, one of the secrets exits maybe. Would strengthen everything a bit, and we can always close it and use another one afterwards. Somethingclike that, I don't really know." He smiled at her. "The canton is a hard target, but you're good. You should talk to Sam and Nael. They're new and insecure about this. Understandable, but still, we need to stand together."
  12. "Gladly." Shana put the weapons away and went to bed. @Lunamor ============== When she woke up she already smell the pancakes and she had slept long enough that the bathroom was free. After ginishing her daily morning routine she walked downstairs. "Morning, everybody. Do you still need some help?" She heard Rob ask for someone to spar and called through the room. "Sure. Always!" @I think I am here.
  13. "Good! That was better!" Shana laughed. "Just remember your feet and that's perfect! And believe me, I'm glad that you are so good at what you do as well. You owe me nothing - I'm only paying you for your help."
  14. "How are you so good in maths?" She replied laughing. "I practice daily. That's everything, no huge secret." Smiling she added. "You don't need to. You can learn it without practicing as much as I do." But she would enjoy it. To teach him, to spend more time with him. "I'm a Dustbringer, I need to know how to fight. For all of you. To protect you, to give you the time to do what you specialize in."
  15. "Like this." She showed him and then grabbed one for herself. "So the basic blows are upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left and a stab." Using her sword she showed them to him. "And make sure to have your body not facing your opponent completely. Turn a bit to the side. It helps to reduce the parts of your body he could theoretically hit."
  16. Althea made sure she kept her smile. Althea, why had he stopped calling her Thea. She had messed it up, somehow somewhere along the lines. Had it been too much to invite him again? She had no idea. She had thought it went well, but obviously she had been wrong. That meant, no personal questions, maybe? What did I do wrong? She asked Max and when she replied she made sure to keep her voice friendly. She'd stopped fooling Max a long time ago, but Devaan didn't know her, and she was good at hiding what she really felt. Hopefully he would buy the act. "Originally I'm from Roshar. But I grew up in the Alleyverse, never knew my parents. Max and I wanted to go there sometime, as I'd like to see the world where I was born." "I joined the Ghostbloods as a teen, worked in the labs for years, climbed up through the ranks and here I am. I spent a lot of time studying investiture." @I think I am here.
  17. Shana nodded. "Sure." She went to the side of the room and handed him a wooden sword. "I'm no expert with a sword, and it's smaller than a shardblade. But I think we should talk about the basics first, and it will work for that. =================== Mahad stayed behind, slightly disappoint that Glint was gone. Then another chick hatched and caught his attention. Happy he stayed at the tree and watched.
  18. "Thank you." She smiled, happy that he seemed to like it, although amazing was a bit too strong in her regard. But still it didn't really matter, she liked him, and even more importantly he'd told her he had nothing against their marriage. Thinking about something to talk about she asked the first harmless question that came to her mind. "So where do you live right now? In the city, or outside? If it's close you could come by now and then and eat with us. I promise, I'll be better prepared than this time."
