Lena opened the door and stepped outside. She paused when she saw Nekorb and Sebrial close by. That was a bad sign and it meant the situation just got exciting. "We might need a cover story." She grinned at Alask and stepped to the side, to let him leave the room. "It seems like they followed us."

The little man coughed, swallowed the water, then after a few more sips he took the cup in his own hands, emptying maybe half of the cup, the he splashed the rest on his body. "Thank you." He nodded at Lilia. "Do you know where the closest river is?" Amara looked over her shoulder, to find the others gone. "Lilia." She whispered. "What do we do now?" @kenod

"Thank you." She took the letter and handed him some crysts, before she closed the door again. Althea read the note, paused and read it again. She walked back into the kitchen while reading it a third time, disbelief and sorrow showing on her face. She crumbled the note in her hand, a helpless gesture, her knuckles turning white as she closed her fingers around the paper. Imagine it someone else, a body she reached out for, slamed her will against its defenses its identity, destroyed it. Then she took the plates and forks, and walked back to the dining table and placed them on the table, beefore flattening the notice out again, for Max and Devaan to read. She sat down and stared at the table, tried to grasp to understand what had happened. “They were mine to protect.” She whispered and covered her eyes with her hand. “I should have known.” Her voice sounded strange almost empty as she tried to calm down, to regain control. Her hand found the small device she usually used to contact Zokora and she noticed the woman had written another message. Anthony Nightshade at Oasis? She considered it for a moment and then typed a short message. Locate Vesuvius & Benson. Lusk can handle the gov alone. @Nohadon @I think I am here.

Mahad called to him and immediatly sped in the direction Glint had been flying. ======================= Ben leaned closer and suddenly she was afraid, nervous, what if she did this wrong, she had no idea how to - his lips met hers and she stopped thinking. It was easy to answer the kiss, to let go. She pulled him close and returned the kiss. Heart racing she closed her eyes, forgot about everything around them, about those probably watching, or the danger of the Voidbringers. Nothing was important, nothing but Ben.

Zokora lead him through the city, her step confident, her back straight. Now and then she greeted someone with a curt nod, one time she called someone over, handed him a sheet of paper, before she continued her way through the city, to a large building close to the part that was reserved for the council. She opened the door, using her hand and then to a room in the first floor. She'd have prefered to use the large chamber where the council met for public meetings, but that one had been badly damaged just yesterday, so this one would have to do. "Do you have someone to vouch for you?"

She listened to his words, to his wonderful words, her fingers tightening around his, while she tried to grasp that he wanted to stay with her, that he had taken her hand. "I'd never push you away. You are intelligent and clever and I feel like I can do anything when you're here. Like we can do anything. Together." Tentatively she used her free hand to reach out for him, touched his arm, his shirt, took a step towards him.

She narrowed her eyes. "That's not what I asked, but I see your will, your determination." Turning around she gestured for the guards to grant him guest status. "Follow me Anthony Nightshade. Let's continue this elsewhere."

Zokora gestured for him to stand up. "You wish to join to protect your family." She repeated. "You know you will be away from home regularly, that there might be missions that will lead you to other worlds as well?"

"I'll go get the door." Althea told Max and set the plates aside. Walking to the door she grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder, before opening. "Good evening." She greeted the mailman. "You've got something for me?"

Her eyes stayed with him, their gaze cold. He was boken, but many of them were. Storms, the whole city was broken ever since the war and maybe before that. "Why do you wish to join?" Usually she'd ask after the skills first, tested them, though rarely personally. But this time his reasoning was more important.

Zokora crossed her arms in front of her chest, observed his movements. She'd recognized him, had read through the reports from a year ago, when she saw him on the video footage. "I do." She replied, her voice neutral. Then she fell silent again, waited for him to go on.

"I had to use it earlier." Lena packed the pot away, unlocked the door and then hesitated. "Do you plan to work for them?"

Lena took pot and opened it for him. Inside was a salve, which smelled softly like camomille with a touch of citrus. She smiled fondly at the smell, adding some citrus oil had been a good decision. It didn't interfer with the rest and it smelled nice. "Apply it carefully, not too thick, not too thin. You should wash your other hand afterwards or it will go numb as well." She instructed. He'd hesitated, the chance that he would let her do it was small, so she didn't even offer. The salve was harmless enough that he would be fine, even if he got the dosage wrong. "But maybe let me open the faucet." She placed the pot on the lavatory next to him and then fetched a bandage out of her bag. "To cover it. If you don't want to end up smearing the salve everywhere."

"But it hurts." She observed and looked through her bag, taking a small pot out. "It will help, numb the pain." She explained and offered it to him.

After a short while a man stepped out to him. "Welcome." He greeted him and then gestured to the side, into a small room. "Please wait for a moment, someone will be here to speak with you soon." The man remained close by, but otherwise left Anthony alone. Maybe an hour later a woman stepped into the room. Her long black hair was falling over her shoulders, her dark eyes swept the room before she stopped close to the door. "I was informed that you wish to join." She stated and then fell silent, simply looked at him.

Amara nodded and quickly handed her a cup. Then she leaned forward,interested to see what Lilia planed to do with her piece of papet.
