  1. I'd like to add another point here. If possible I'd like the page to be mobile friendly. If I was forced to use my computer, my activity would be close to zero, tbh.
  2. "But you do realize the whole point of debating is to discuss something, nomatter if you're wrong or not? It's not about being right or wrong, it's about debating, finding arguments, be creative." "I need to learn how to focus. Right now it's hard to use them at all. The moment I get stressed or afraid I can't concentrate enough anymore and that's it." She admitted. "But then to learn this, I have to practice, and I'm bad when it comes to sitting down and practicing something. I always get distracted or end up here, or outside doing sport." =============================
  3. Shana laughed heartily at that. "Did you really tell them they're wrong and walked away?" She asked and then replied to hus other comment. "I simply have to get better with Division. Then they won't even come close enough to use their surge."
  4. Althea felt Max place a hand on her shoulder affectionately and smiled at him happily. Maybe she hadn't messed this up. As he only laughed at Devaan's comment regarding children, she didn't answer as well, and filed it away as some joke that was lost on her. She hastened a bit with her lasagna, as both of them were more or less finished and she had obviously spent more time thinking and worrying than eating. "What about some dessert?" @I think I am here. @Nohadon
  5. Shana leaned forward and spread her hands. "I didn't really follow the debating team." She apologized and then thought about his words. "I think the difference between me and cannibal on a lonely island is, that you had the situation under control, while the cannibal is on his own. Even though we were sparring, I was never really in danger." But it had felt like this, she had felt the water on her face, pushing her down, suffocating her. She frowned and then brushed her hand over her face. Nothing. She was outside, she was breathing. "But then fear doesn't care about that."
  6. Mike looked up at him. "What can you and your organization add to our ressources?" He asked. "I know Bella is a brilliant fighter, what about you?" Thoughtfully he tapped on his notebook. They needed a plan. With a good plan it would work. But he needed more information first. How could he plan without knowing what ressources he had? Bella had accepted this and he planned on making sure all of them would stay alive.
  7. "I don't know? I mean it is still me acting. Just because I am afraid, does that lead to me not being able to make a decision?"
  8. As almost everybody is asleep right now, I don't think we need to hurry
  9. Shana clenched her teeth, stomped on her pride and took his hand. The sooner she was out of here the better. She made sure to get away from the pool, before sitting down aswell. She brushed as much of the liquid off her cloths as possible and then looked at his face, the bloody welts her nails had left. "Sorry for that. I lost it in there."
  10. Sounds like a good plan. Let's do this?
  11. Althea thought about his words. Trust him? Could she do that? Could she trust him, just because Max did? She looked at Max who was enjoying himself, then at Devaan. The list of people she trusted was short, only few people associated with her without a second thought and as she knew that, she kept her mask, kept them away. It was easier safer. Her fingers touched Brashen and she looked back, at the last years, at who she had been. She took her time, realized that it was about more than only staying Righthand or not. It was about her life and which path she wanted to take, about her destination. Her eyes rested on Devaan and she realized he hadn't flinched once at their colour, at her hair, instead he'd told her she was a good match. He'd been friendly from the first second, and she had been so afraid to mess it up, had hidden behind her suspicions and masks. Had looked for clues, for lists, for something to hold on. But this wasn't about a list or an argument. This was about her family. "I'd like you to be a part of this." She told him slowly, making a decision. It wasn't logical, but it felt right. "To come by now and then, when you are around and have the time. If we have children to get to know them." "I never had anything resembling a family before Max, so I can't promise that I know what to do, but still I'd like you to know that here is a place for you." "If you want to, of course." She added hastily and looked at Max for confirmation. @Nohadon @I think I am here.
  12. "Be strong." Mahad whispered. "I need you to do something for me." Shana took a deep breath, inhaled more stormlight, and nodded. She wouldn't hide here like coward. "Go ahead." She told Rob. It was stone not water. She wouldn't drown, he could easily make it solid again. Still her fingers started shaking and each breath was a bit harder than the one before. "Don't go slow, just get done with it."
  13. "My parents drowned." She told him, her voice shaking. "I don't remember much, only the screams, sinking, water pressing on my face - I." Shaking her head she stopped. "You couldn't know, don't worry." After taking a deep breath she forced herself to smile at him, to show him that she wasn't angry, that it was alright. "I need to get past this, it's my job to fight for them. To make sure they are safe." She said loudly, but the words were for Mahad, not for Rob and partially they were for herself. "And now?" She asked Rob, looking at him again.
  14. A relieved sob escaped her lips when she stopped sinking, when her hands touched the stone again. She wiped at her cheeks, only now realizing that she'd started crying, her hands leaving dirty streaks behind. Now that she calmed down her arm hurt and she winced, before holding it close to her chest. He crawled out, left her behind and she realized he would have to change the stone again for her to get out as well. The thought alone was enough to make her sick. "Just leave me here." She told him weakly, tried to turn her face away, but wasn't able to move enough. Instead she looked down at the ground.
  15. "I'm sorry." She apologized to both of them. And then because she hadn't answered his other question she added. "I'll leave you out of it." "What do you need me to do?"
  16. His hand grabbed her leg and he pulled her towards him, her leg slipping over solid ground until she felt the liquid encasing her leg, pulling her down, deeper down. Shana screamed, tried to hold on to something, anything, but the ground was even and he was stronger than she. Fear clenched her heart in its merciless grasp and - Water closing over her face, hands flailing wildly - "Your leg, now." Mahad shouted and she inhaled more stormlight slicked her leg, pulled again, but still he held her. Unsurprisingly as her control over her surges was mediocre at best. She was sinking, slowly, but she was sinking. With another scream she lunged towards him, clawed at his face with her nails.
  17. Lena smiled as well. "But there are times, when you are happy, that someone is breathing. And I am grateful, that he was there." She replied. "Why does he kill? What does it mean to him?"
  18. Shana ran towards him, accepted that his sleeve hit her arm, to cover as much distance between them as possible. She gasped in pain when it drew blood, falling to the ground next to her. Still she kept her focus and mentally reached out for his shoes, attempted to slicken their undersides. Hopefully that would through him off balance when he moved again. Then she lifted her leg, kicked straight at him, aiming for his stomach.
  19. "Cool." Fascinated Lena thought about what to say. "Tell him thank you. For getting me out of the escalator."
  20. Shana stepped forward, ready to go on until he started to defend himself, when he stomped on the ground. And her foot touched nothing. Solid ground gave way when she stepped on it, a cool liquid touching her toes. With a scream she threw herself to the side, away from the pool of stone, fear erasing everything else. She tumbled to the ground, instictively made a role to stop her fall and got back to her feet. Deliberatly she took another breath, forced herself to concentrate despite the fast beating of her heart, the slight shaking of her fingers. She could do this. She had to be strong. With a grim smile she mentally touched his shoelaces and cut them almost apart, until only a single thread held them in place.
  21. "I do, but I almost never make it to the end. There is so much to tell, so much happened. I like that story. There is so much pain and at the same time so much hope, friendship." She answered. "Mostly I tell it to myself. It's not like anybody ever heard enough parts to make sense of it." Because she wished she could be like that Lena. Strong, brave, with friends that would die for her. But then she wasn't good at making friends. There was always that point when she ripped it apart, when she needed to try something out. And while she admired the Lena of her stories, she knew that this life wasn't for her and she was content with what she had. For every door she closed another one opened, and as long as earned enough to pay for his home and food and later education everything was fine. "What is it like to talk to -?" Another vague gesture to show what she meant.
  22. I voted no, because I like to have everything in one place, my AV and my not AV characters. Also, we are able to find new players because of the shard, I'm not sure how we will be able to aquire new people if it's a separate side. Right now I feel like we profit a lot from the activity on the shard. But should this become a thing, I'm in of course.
  23. Lena stepped closer, spoke quietly, earnestly. "It's beauty you know. A thrill, but mostly beauty. How everything plays together like a clockwerk, how you can change everything with a small drop, or a bit of powder." "I won't kill you. I aim to incapacite, not to kill. It's a lot more difficult." But that probably wasn't the right answer, he didn't care about this. "Who is us?" She asked instead.
  24. And Amara could try to save him.
  25. Althea narrowed her eyes at him, before she remembered to stay friendly. Just a note for him? At their place, which he had admitted that it was hard to find? So either that note had been for her or Max, or he had told an unknown amount of people where they lived. Both options were sitting heavy like a stone in her stomach. "Sure. If it fits, we'll gladly come with you." She replied and felt her hand tighten around her fork. Relax, she repeated Max words, and then looked down at her plate. Max was sure this was Devaan, she trusted Max. Relax, stay calm. Carefully she checked her emotions, her feelings. Nothing seemed off, but then she'd been tricked before. Suddenly she was glad that he'd declined to stay here, that he would travel a lot. She was probably too suspicious, but that was what had kept her alive for years. And when someone who was an almost stranger to her, started having notes delivered to her place and answered the door without giving her a chance to react - it set her internal alarms off. Especially here, at their place. Her foot softly touched Max shin, she hoped he would understand that he should take the conversation over. She started going through every conversation they had so far, sorted through facts, mentally creating a list of things he knew, how he might harm them. She looked for clues to show if it was a stupic coincidence, or if she had missed something, if the part about him being something like Max father had blinded her to other facts. @Nohadon @I think I am here.
