  1. Well, that's past the carpet-bombing and naked!Nighthound isn't it?
  2. Ah, so Flashpoint isn't too well developed of a character yet, and is still very much an annoying whiner.
  3. Yay! A new reader ships my character! Have you read Portland yet, FireSlayer? Currently one of our biggest non-canon(yet) ships is Flashpoint/Edgerunner.
  4. Truthwatchers and Lightweavers, you need to be extremely cautious in your PMs. Any Radiant who can make PMs either has a scan ability or a healing one, so any Eliminators that discover the identity of someone with the Illumination surge also can kill a scan/heal role. If we lose another, we'll be awfully disadvantaged way too early in this game. My biggest suspicions now are Leif and PK. I'll vote for Paranoid King to see what he has to say regarding his PM with Bort.
  5. Two of my favorites are from Mistborn:
  6. I'm quite excited to see LoT and see what they do with this group forced to work together. I'm really glad they're bringing Sara back, she was one of my favorites. I also wish they had kept Deadshot on, like Quiver said, he really grew on me. In case you all haven't seen, this is Arrow's new S4 outfit:
  7. I don't know. I feel like all the UK versions of fantasy novels are the exact same.
  8. Both of these are related, so if either of you have anything you want to do with Hypno, let me know. Welcome back, Winter!
  9. You didn't get past the twist where Adolin was really Sadeas's worldhopping father from Sel?! Sadeas was being threatened by Adolin the whole time!
  10. I definitely agree. Shalladin doesn't work for me.
  11. I forget you haven't finished yet.
  12. Adamir, you should give out three names.
  13. Gosh, guys. I'm really sorry. Joe, Kobold, Lark, you have my condolences and prayers.
  14. I agree, but do think it can be done well. Brandon is known for none of his characters being safe, but it isn't every main character who dies, and it isn't only side characters who die. When a character dies in a Sanderson novel, there's a good reason for it and it works. It's never a throwaway death or a pointless killing. The end of[brandon Spoilers] I'm excited to see this one progress, actually. I like Adolin and I like Kaladin, Kaladin more so, but I don't really want him to end up with Shallan. Brandon has done a good job of characterizing both options well and providing pros and cons to each and he's a good enough writer that I expect a satisfying resolution.
  15. I found that interview with EW: "I love the original cover for Steelheart. For the paperback, however, we felt we wanted to transition away from the image of a single individual on the cover. Though David is the narrator of the books, the story is about an ensemble. It becomes a story about the Reckoners as a team. In particular, the characters Megan and Prof both really struck a chord with readers. And both have larger roles in Firefight. In a lot of ways, we’re trying to approach the books more like Disney approached their film Tangled – where they chose specifically not to call it Rapunzel, but instead theme it toward the larger cast. These new covers convey the explosive nature of the books, while at the same time allowing the entire crew to shine." So I understand his perspective on it, but I still disagree. They don't stand out enough. The Mistborn trilogy had the same problem, IMO. I never picked up any of the Mistborn books, even though I had seen them multiple times, until someone reccomended Brandon to me because I didn't find the covers at all attractive. Stormlight is knocking the ball out of the park in this regard, but a lot of Sanderson's US editions are lacking in this, I think.
  16. I still like the original Steelheart cover the best and don't know why they switched themes to this new "blow a hole in the cover and make it one color" thing they have going on. This is the one I'm talking about:
  17. Tom-Supply-Loki with armies, yes please. Forrest-Elect Pascal-Read The last two because why the heck not. Elend, Raoden, and Navani.
  18. Meta(0): Jain Shallan(0): Twei Jain(1): Meta, Peng Peng(1): Araris Araris(0): Feligon Dow(0): Bort PK(1): Eramit Kipper(1): Idolevy Bridge Boy(1): PK Leif(0): Adamir Eowyn(0): Bort Phatt(0): Feligon, Eowyn Joe(1): Twei Idolevy(1): Renegade So it comes down to me. To lynch or not to lynch. Bort and Feligon come to mind as suspicious because of their vote jumping. Not solid, but there's not much else to go on. I'd also agree with Ren about Idolevy. But I don't think I'll cast a vote this day cycle. The current votes are so spread out.
  19. Uey as in U-turn? I've heard that forever too.
  20. Oh right. You can be the Mad Ballooner's father.
  21. I don't have anything to add yet. I'm not too big on a lynch this cycle, especially since we could see powers take effect as soon as this day is over.
  22. I'm with you there! But I actually like this and I like Leto's Joker, not as much as Ledger's but still. I mean, if Superman is going to be the dark one, I guess it makes sense that the villains are going to swap places.
