    The bone-white antlers stabbed his father again. And again. Cadmus turned to run, but his feet were glued in place. The stag looked at him, eyes entirely black, sucking in light, and morphed. The stag became an amalgamation of beasts. The stuff of legends, a Minotaur, but with the head of a deer instead of a bull. Then Cerberus, the three-headed dog of hell. All three heads had antlers. Next was a gorgon. A hydra. Telekhines. A manticore. And last, a chimera. All with heads of a stag. Cadmus screamed in horror, but no sound left his mouth. A black void began shrinking around him, closing him in with his father's corpse and the beast. The chimera, with head of a lion, a snake, and a stag, charged him. Cadmus clenched his teeth and his eyes shut and Chi woke up in bed, thrashing and sweaty. Argo stood above him, concern in his furry face. "I'm all right. I'm fine," Chimera said, as much for his benefit as his guardian's. The afterimages of the black-eyed stag stained his memory. Chi stood and paced the room, calming his heavy breathing. The nightmares were always worse when he used his powers a lot. And if the past couple days had shown him anything, he'd be using them a lot more soon. Portland was rapidly going to hell and Chimera's zoo was the only Elysium left.

    I'm fine with the hag. (That was a weird autocorrect, but it's hilarious, so I'm leaving it. ) She'll add some brevity to the fight.

    Kipper, Macen mentioned the same things in a PM to me. He said that exact thing about Shallan to me, so when she died, I figured it might have something to do with him. I just don't know why he would help influence the death of an inactive. They aren't our top priorities right now. But I do want to call out Idolevy to see what their thoughts so far are. Most people have been pretty quiet recently, so my suspicions aren't very broad.

    There may or may not be Chi and Altermind, maybe Flashpoint, dream sequences in the next few days, I'm waiting on three collabs, so I have nothing else to RP.

    It only took the word "mental" in the very first Question. I was actually really surprised that it was that easy. Would it only be Lightwards or would he bring others?

    Well, that matches exactly what we decided. "As far as the mind control goes, I think if Lightwards raised an animal and Chi combined it with some other animal, he would have control of it. If Lightwards raised a dead creation of Chi's, it would be his. If Nighthound took over Chi's creation he would have control unless Chi combined it. Sound right?"

    YES. And I know we decided somewhere back in one of the first Questions how their mental control would work against each other, but I don't remember what we decided. Do you?

    Yeah, sorry about that. This morning and yesterday, I just had a couple minutes to pop on and reply to PMs, but not enough to jump on this and vote. That discussion between Wyrm/Joe and Meta was very interesting, but at its core, I think, was just a differing of opinion on rules. My vote's going on Gancho to see what his thoughts are.

    I actually had/ve no plans to start a lynch train on you, I just wanted to call you back to the realm of the living. Now that you have, and most of your post has assuaged my suspicions, Joe. I see Eramit as a much better target than Orlok, but if we don't get enough votes to lynch, I'll switch to Orlok.

    There's also a short story about Bast, but that's only available in an anthology. Just thought I'd put it out there for those who might not have known. I haven't read it yet. Currently, I'm almost finished with Ruins, the third and final book in the Partials sequence by Dan Wells. It's sci-fi dystopian, and I quite enjoy it. Up next is The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I've heard great things about it and I'm excited to start it.
