  1. Which would mean you went insane for another reason? because getting attacked with silver bones does not trigger broken survivors. Edit: I also meant to quote Araris
  2. Ok, so there's definitely some information we can process here, though it is buried a bit further. For instance, we can confirm neither Araris nor fifth scholar are the Founder or the Deep one. It's not a hard clear, because there is still another role, but it is definitely a soft-clear. I am trying to find out what else would have caused Araris to survive, and what I can come up with is an Elder sign pendant, unless I'm missing a role, so we can assume that Araris had an Elder sign pendant. This means it's either a lucky attack, or it was orchestrated, for the purposes of pulling a WGG. I'm leaning more towards the fact that Araris just got lucky to have the Elder sign pendant. I'll try to piece together more when I have more time.
  3. My sincerest condolences. I'm extending my virtual arms to give you a hug of comfort. If you need any emotional support, send me a PM, and I'll see what I can do to help.
  4. I've been somewhat more busy than normal at work the last few days. I should start being able to contribute more thoughts some time within the next day or so though. If I had to hazard a guess though, I would say that it's likely one elim voted for me, and another voted for Shane, and the third could be anywhere. I would like to open up some PMs, but because I've been so busy, I haven't had the opportunity to open any up. I do have at least one or two PMs from people reaching out to me, but I enjoy PMs, so I would prefer to set more up. If any of you reach out to me, I would appreciate it.
  5. If a stampede of Koloss invade your hometown, what weapon will you use to fight them off?
  6. It's been about 24 hours. Are we still waiting on anyone? We can tag them in here.
  7. Bummer, we lost the journalist. That is a role I would have liked to have had alive for longer. "On the contrary, I honestly have no idea why people chose to save me. I have not spoken with any of these people privately. They must have heard that I have an amazing æbleskiver recipe. It's the best food! It's like a pancake, in a ball!" Tim said. He wanted to try sounding sophisticated, but halfway through his thought, he got distracted. He popped another æbleskiver into his mouth.
  8. "I'll defend me!" Tim said. Up at the front there was a podium. Tim headed up to stand above and in front of the crowd. On the front of the podium there was a stick-like device that was about at the height of his mouth "Testing testing. Oh awesome. This thing amplifies my voice. Hi Everyone. I'm Tim, for those who couldn't hear me earlier." Tim said After he had everyone's attention, he continued. "Umm I'm kinda new here, and I don't pay much attention to what goes on. But I spoke for a moment with Innocent and Ruthful. So they helped me catch up. Please don't lynch me. I really am on your side, even if most of you don't believe so. I promise I can be of help. I'm... errr... really good at ancestry. If you allow me to live, I can dig up stuff about all of your families, to determine who would be most likely to be evil, based on family history, and ancestral tendencies. "I also brought the æbleskivers. I have the recipe. It's a family recipe. At the end, if we all survive, I can share the recipe with you!" Then Tim went to sit back down. Hopefully the æbleskiver recipe would be enough to save him. Edit: Tim stood back up, and said "Oh, uh, and I'll join that Mindful guy and vote on the guy who hasn't shown up and doesn't have a name. Shanerockes.
  9. Tim returned from the refreshment table. He had is cheeks stuffed with cream puffs, and a plate in each hand. On the plates, he had some eclairs, mini donuts, a bit of chouta, and some æbleskivers. As he returned to his seat, he saw Ruthful and Innocent standing menacingly over his seat. "Eclais?" he asked with a stuffed mouth, offering a plate. Ruthful and Innocent weren't so accomodating, though they did take some eclaires. It turns out they were very frustrated with Tim, as he seemed to be no help. Truth be told, Tim knew he wasn't any help. He really just came for the food. But he sat down and listened as Ruthful and Innocent explained the situation to him. after they had finished, Tim thought intentfully. Tim had already finished the Eclaires and the Chouta. All he had left were the æbleskivers. Stuffing his face with powdered sugar covered pastries, he responded. "Well Leth thee." he began, with more than a bit of a lisp, "Ith pwobably good tha the Necwonomicon cannot be dethtwoyed. That meanth we'll be abo to uthe it latew if thomeone doethn't uthe it eawly." Taking a break from eating he continued. "But it looks to me like it would be a good idea to use it relatively early. I'm worried about the fact that people's voices can so easily be carried by the wind. This will affect our lynches" He paused. "Both because people can vote for who to lynch anonymously, and also because lies can be spread through the wind. I wouldn't trust messages you hear carried by the wind unless you have something to corroborate it yourself." Tim had gotten hungry. So he returned to his remaining æbleskivers. ---- So the Necromicon. Some people have suggested using it early, and I completely agree, because it will help us narrow down the identity of the Deep one. But I'm wondering if it's used too soon, will it be effective? Like how helpful will the hint be. Still, It's probably better to use it early rather than later. Any hint will be helpful in the long run. Other than that, to me the game seems a bit frontloaded to favor the elims, IMO, but as the game continues, I think the village's chances of winning will go up as long as the inactivity plague doesn't strike too early. We should probably watch out for the neutrals. The Bounty Hunter is looking to kill two people out of 2 Elims, 3 neutrals, and 3 villagers, but two of the three neutrals seem to have somewhat village aligned goals, the journalist, and the necromancer. The journalist could potentially go full village, and also has the goal to get information out, and the necromancer shares the win-con with the village. (At least for now... The PAFO by Elandera regarding the Necromancer's alignment has me a bit concerned) Then we have the criminal, whose goal is to steal things. While they definitely do not have a wincon that helps the village, they don't necessarily hurt it either, as there appears to be items that will be beneficial to the elims, as well as to the village. That, and they will steal indiscriminately, as long as their victim has an item. So that's my thoughts for now. Vote count: Devotary (1) Araris Shanerockes (1) Sart CadCom (2) Fifth, Amanuensis I'm not going to vote yet, but I would prefer not to die D1, just like everyone else. So If I'm able to vote later, and I'm if still leading the lynch I'll likely vote for the person closest to me in vote tally. If I'm not leading the lynch, I'll try to put some analysis into a vote, as opposed to voting randomly. No promises as I'm rather busy today though.
  10. Half Australian Shepherd Husky Mix (Here's a little picture) I dare you to climb a ladder (Or a stepstool if you can't find a ladder. Or structure of similar design.) Take a picture of the view from the top (or highest you went) Post the picture on here if you want to but you don't have to. Dare please!

I worked hard to find out when these would all align. Like I searched google for 5 minutes. The reason I did this was to try to think of something creative based on when they would align. But my five minute google search proved fruitless, so I guess I'll just start from scratch. --- We must assume certain things, and then determine chances based on that. So in this scenario, I can only take into account those Zebras that have sloths. There are no reported Zebras with Sloths, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. We can probably assume that there are less than 100 zebras with sloths. If we assume 100 zebras with sloths, and 365 days a year, this means the chances of Zebras having a sloth with a birthday on the same day that the earth, sun and Alpha Centauri align, is about 100/365. (Close to 1/3) But then we have to consider how often it is that zebras give sloths chew toys for their birthday. slothbirthdaygifts.com(Which totally isn't a website I made up) shows that 1/10 sloth owners across species get Sloths chew toys for their birthday. So the odds that a Zebra will get a sloth a chew toy for it's birthday when the sun, earth and alpha centauri all align is about 1/30, among zebras that own sloths.
  12. Ok. So let's say someone has bonded this "key". If someone steals the key, but they have not yet re-bonded the key to them, does the other person have the ability to use magic to summon the key back to them? Or must they have the key on them at all times to use it? I'm testing the limits of this magic system, and from what I see, in a very short period of time, you would have a bunch of immortals running around, and another race that has completely gone extinct, or has begun to be bred as reproductive slaves, just for the purpose of making more magic people. Actually, I've got another question. Would the races be different species, or would interbreeding be possible, therefore making it possible to have a halfbreed that has a "key" naturally imbedded within them that they are able to bond to themselves? Man there are so many potentials with this magic system. I'm jealous that I didn't come up with it first. There's so much stuff you could have the story experiment on!! @Shard of Thought I've tagged you just in case there are new comments and you don't see this again.
  13. Does it run out or does it act infinitely and indefinitely, more like a channel to an infinite source, as opposed to the source itsself? Is there a toll on the body when the magic is used? As you bond with it does the magic become stronger over time, or is it like a process to bond, but once bonded, all the power occurs at once.
  14. So does that mean that the magic in their brains allows them to appear to have normal brain function, despite being underdeveloped? You mentioned that it is a race. So it's not like one particiular family line, but an entire race? Which I guess would count as a family line that goes back thousands or tens of thousands of years. At the point where your story begins, have the other races recently discovered the power, and therefore risk sending this race into extinction, or would the people have known about this power for generations, therefore causing the magic race to be hunted systematically, similar to management hunts for deer or other game in the real world? Must the power be diluted? If it can be diluted, does the power diminish the more diluted it is? Must it be consumed? Are other ingredients necessary for it's use? In other words does it need to be made into a potion or a nice souffle? To be completely clear, I absolutely love the possibilities and the idea behind this magic mechanic. I'm just asking questions to help you define it so that you can use this in your own storytelling.
  15. Granted. You are a fish. Oh wait. Do you mean silence, or Silence the woman from Brandon Sanderson's Short story? Either way. Your bane is that you become a fish. I wish to know whether seafaring mammals and other seafaring species count as fishes for the purpose of making fish jokes.
  16. So the source of the magic is hereditary, but those that inherit the source can't use it? It can only be used after the source is extracted, and used by someone else? Would this involve breeding of the source and later sacrificing them? or can it be extracted without killing the person?
  17. Oh alright, we can talk about something other than the fact that I will eventually be the ultimate winner. What would you like to talk about?
  18. Granted. Your creativity is locked away in a hidden chamber of your brain that you have yet to unlock. I wish for the following situation to actually happen A fish runs into a wall. The fish says "Dam". The Dam responds, "You dumb bass Why did you do that?" To which the fish replies, "Just for the Halibut"
  19. So, I'm going to assume it's the night cycle, so we could probably assume that we cannot further discuss until the next day cycle, and we are waiting for @Oduim’s Chmapion or @That Violin Guy to ask us to submit our actions prior to disucssing what we all think we know?
  20. "Hi! I'm Tim. I know that we are in scary circumstances, but honestly, I don't pay attention to the news. So I have no idea what we are fighting. I just came to this meeting because I heard there were refreshments." Then Tim sat back down in his seat.
  21. Granted! You lied to me! My Boon was never granted. I wish to not be lied to by the nightwatcher!
