  1. Brandon has repeatedly said that things are pronounced however you feel like pronouncing things. Also he pronounces Vin as Vin but yes it would be useful if you would like to add some info to the coppermind about the French-ish pronunciations that would be very helpful.
  2. *encourage you both to add this info to the Coppermind pages for these awesome people* ;)
  3. Hey Mestv Indeed, the annotations ref magic is pretty dang broken, mainly because Brandon's sites links are so inconsistent and such that there's no sensible/consistent way to get to each of the pages, wherein you basically have to type out every link into the template so it can select the correct one. Apologies to everyone who's ever followed one of those dead links, I've just not had the patience/skill to set it up properly.
  4. We have a big pile of spikes, maybe we can employ them on some unsuspecting members in the correct timezones to make them spam-swatting drones
  5. I'm fine with this, as long as the fact being cited states that it's not canonised?
  6. please attach screenshots of the process you go through. also it would be useful to know info about your computer and browser.
  7. I'm sure he'll be hoiding in there somewhere
  8. watch out, or you'll both get banned
  9. If it's still working for everyone but Edge users, then it's a bug in Edge and we can't (and wont) do anything about it.
  10. We do aim to eventually have much more extensive and detailed timelines and histories and such. The current links which I think you're talking about are very rough and uncomplete and are meant to link together arbitrary sets of events that are at a 'similar level' of significance. It's mostly been a side project of mine and it's definitely not exhaustive or complete or anything. If you want to start thinking about writing the planet histories or the nation histories then please do so, and the same with if you want to document important events that either do or do not yet exist as pages, that would be great.
  11. The usage is totally up to you, you can use the user page however you like, some of us use it to construct draft versions of articles so we can ask for opinions before replacing other articles, some use it to store snippets or helpers or reminders of stuff. Mine is full of bits and pieces of codes and projects and stuff. But it's really up to you. We also use the user-talk pages to discuss things not related directly to a particular article/topic.
  12. Hey there Vic its great to see you, I hope you enjoy editing edit away, feel free just to jump in and add your words. We don't often need to claim articles to stop conflicts, but if you're uncomfortable rewriting the article in place, you can copy it to your user page and its a sandbox. Feel free to as any questions you have, we're always around to help new editors
  13. Any ideas what involvement Brandon (or Team Sanderson) have had in this?

I got promoted last weekend. It was with the same batch of staff changes as Weiry, but they wanted to have a video conference to set it up with me first, so that took some arranging. I've been the admin over at the Coppermind for 5 years, and the structuring of the staff is being tweaked to give each of the admins a specific kinda role, so mine is continuing the Coppemrind

..... yes a little bit, because I 'was here first' and I like being the only Joe around *grumbles* XD It is just really relaxing and fun and I get to reread bits of the books searching for info and everyone benefits from the coppermind being better? I've been around for a while (29th user ) and I've been involved in the coppermind for the majority of the five years it's existed. I wasn't a founding member but I did help it along the way, and I hosted the wiki for a few years too. It's such a big and important part of my life, literally spent the last 5 years, my first 5 as an adult, nurturing and supporting it, and encouraging others to come help (which you both should do ) so yeah, I like it lots. Tho I dislike various things like it's incompleteness (more, I dislike my inability to help improve it fast enough) and the various quirks of the software, and my inability to stimulate a busier community around the place.

  23. It is now (way past (whoops)) the end of June, and so our Coppermind Birthday Bonanza has come to an end. Many many thanks to all the new and returning editors who gave wikiying a try in the last month. We’re currently in the process of sorting through all the edits to determine prize levels. You can contact Joe via PM if you wish to claim your prize. Thank you so much again to everyone who helped and contributed! We invite all to do the same.

  25. Dreamer is in a world where theres a bunch of ghosts? who jump between possessing people and play a game of tag or something. HARRE is Heuristic Algorithm and Reasoning Response Engine, it's about an AI in like a power suit who helps this guy fight an invasion to protect a city. Set in space somewhere Any reasons for wanting to meet either of those characters?
