  1. In addition, we've actually agreed to keeping the numbered titles until the title is finalised, so we'll get around to fixing that up
  2. No, I just heap praise on all the wonderful people in my life, because lets be honest they deserve to know that they are all incredibly talented and fantastic and given that I've not got much better to do than wiki all day I might as well spend some of my time helping those that have made my life better believe in themselves and feel good about themselves.
  3. Well I am definitely in the business of making the place less intimidating. What subjects are you comfortable in? Characters? Places? smaller articles? doing little edits on a variety of pages or rewriting a single one til it's awesome? which books? For assignments then I am espousing that we concentrate on Elantris since it's ten years old and should be complete by now. There's a list of articles by their status, and we really need to improve the Attention Needed articles and the stubs. If you're not comfortable with those then you can help improve/finish off the ones in the sections above that. I think my preference would be (pretty much rewritten or) vastly improved main character articles. If we had the three mains, or the majority of the secondaries all brought up to being completeish, that would be fantastic progress. If you're not comfortable with Elantris then the Mistborn Era 1 articles could do with just as much love in similar areas, and Eric has suggested we concentrate on the Era 2 articles so that they are pretty good prior to the two book releases. Similarly, there's equivalent pages for each of the series if you'd rather look at those.
  4. Can't what? take the truth? the truth that you're one of the most loveliest and incredible people I've ever had the privilege of getting to know. and omh your writing; you're such a talented writer your words are so amazing so *flails* sooos soooo gooooood/ and then your fanfic is just so damnation heart wrenching and you definitely are the fandom monster you're incredible *cuddleswarms*
  5. you certinaly are freakin awesome
  6. We'll sort all this 3rd book confusion out when we get confirmation from the publisher, so for now please just leave it all alone. thanks
  7. how can I convince you to come and wiki? *eternal recruitment*
  8. Ahh yeah I probably should wait a little hehehe
  9. What should I get you for Christmas?
  10. Please feel free to copy to your sandbox and tweak away, though we are planning on rewriting most of it our selves at some point, to make it easier to use and more helpful.
  11. So expanding a little on the stub rules, there's not really a strict boundary between {{stub}} and {{partial}}, as it's hard to reason what the lower limit is. We use two properties to decide but neither are strict or objective. One is, as Weiry stated, the length of the content compared to the infobox. The other is whether the page fits inside the edit box without a scroll bar. We recently moved from the latter to the former as our main criteria, as the latter is affected heavily by the size of the infobox, and also any other templates used, whereas the former relates more to the actual content. Neither are particularly objective since the page width isn't constant over peoples computers. It's not an easy thing to decide, especially for those on the edge. So if you decide to add content to a stub, and end up adding a bunch of paragraphs, then you can definitely go ahead and bump it up to a partial, or even a complete if you think there's no other info around. Please refrain from changing any article you come across which is right on the line, as it would be much better served as a stub so it gets that little extra attention. And any read will know that the article is likely to be missing lots of info, and so may be encouraged to help out.
  12. Having not known the story before watching, I enjoyed it massively then got blown away by the ending, I mean what the heck???? XD quite a great film yes.
  13. Well the best thing to do is let us deal with the categories. As in, come to us with ideas, but leave the actual categorisation to the staff.
  14. A) that article is a semi logical interpretation of the defacto logic we used before a formal policy was considered. It's mostly Eric's interpretation of what the cat system looked like to him. Those rules are subject to change and also inconsistently applied. the magic category is unloved and we've not figured out the various corner cases yet.
  15. I added a redirect for States -> State, whcih lets you use |world=States in the culture template. Maybe use |universe= instead?

Recently. and that's classified. but mostly we take spikes from our large stockpile, so we don't tend to know who they're from.

Yes to the icon The coppermind is fairly big, we're approaching 2500 articles and 5000 pages (including help pages, disambiguation pages, redirects, etc). It looks like it has for the past few years really. And if you had to be a copper ferring to see it, it wouldn't be half the place you see now, thanks to all the amazing editors

Its a bearded robocop. I found it many a moon ago. The artist did a full series. I've always been a robot, and I've always been inside your computers. Now I am the creator of cuddleswarms. I make robotic cuddles and things. When I figure it out I will make them real and you will all be welcome to them, free of charge.

OK so I was gonna ask something along the lines of 'why the heck would I want to know anything about you?' but you went and ruined it by expecting such things *grumbles and goes back to wikiying*
