  1. I was cheating I found it by making a list of every word in the book then taking out all the dictionary words, and then all the ones that were already in the wiki. now we're down to just the red topics on this page which I've gone through and found short descriptions for. Unhelpfully I distinctly remember noticing another typo but I didn't remember to report it so I don't know where it was now... Another thing, it may have been reported/fixed already, but in the kindle version all the Mythica epigraphs have had some magic linking done to their chapter wording?
  2. hey @Synth you don't need to keep necrobumping threads with complaints about 17th Shard or the Coppermind. And please stop pinging KChan, they aren't really involved any more. WRT @Botanica specifically, they're already fairly active on both these forums and other places, and they regularly have added artwork to the Coppermind for us to use around the wiki. We here at the coppermind try to be good friends to Bota, and all the other fan-artists we know of. If you look around the Coppermind we have quite a few articles relating to the official artists, in both their real-world roles and their cameos in Brandon's worlds. The forums allow anyone to upload their own fanart if they want, and the wiki tries also to be very welcoming to artists including their art in pages if they are willing.
  3. Chapter 93 epigraph mentions Taxil not Traxil who was in TWoK chapter 45 epigraph
  4. please feel free to add these things to whatever pages are relevant. it'd be a great help if you put the effort into improving it for everyone!!
  5. the 115px links are generated by the chapter icon template stuff
  6. I personally would be ok with chapter summaries being written as long as there's a sufficient spoiler warning on that page. Otherwise I think it's both safer and more prudent to wait for the book before the rest of the pages get updated. Thanks for wanting to get on top of the summaries !!!
  7. it would be awesome if you could integrate this information into the various chronology parts of the coppermind (for example this section would be useful of all your references)
  8. it's not gonna get an acronym, similar to Elantris... well other than sa3 this is mostly because the person that added/formatted that detail was just trying something, and ended up not continuing passed wherever they got to. similar to the separate pages per chapter, that's just @WeiryWriter wanting to make things better but not having time to finish everything, still experimenting with it. EDIT a fourth time: I just made a chatroom specifically for the book summaries on the copperminds chatroom, please come by to check it out
  9. this is something the pre-readers can help with, I remember @WeiryWriter and @Chaos created some lists last time around of things that wouldn't need updating for WoR so were worth finishing off pre-WoR. They should/may be able to make up lists for Oathbringer too (if you bug them enough for it...)
  10. because when the logo was designed we didn't have the Feruchemical symbols, and nobody has given us a better logo since.
  11. don't worry, I understand what you mean
  12. I can see the appeal of your template, but I also think it's worth having either a standard navbox or something like wikipedias 'lists of articles on topic' that they sometimes have as or below the infobox. that lists all the important help articles. or maybe a top-of-the-page 'toc' like banner kinda thing.... *strokes chin in thought* Edit: I went ahead and just tried it out... then have added it to the tops of pages
  13. having to maintain two separate frontends is probably too much to ask... given that it's already kinda fiddly to keep mediawiki itself up to date, and given that the skin should already be fairly adaptive to mobile screens I'm probably not going to get around to putting effort into trying this out,....
  14. watch out, Eric likes discussing categorisation in excruciating detail XD
  15. if it's a subsection of the Glyphs page, it can be 'Numerals' ? I'm happy with that. maybe add a redirect [[glyph numerals]] -> [[Glyphs#Numerals]] ?
  16. They get somewhat aggressively cached, please make sure to purge that page's cache when you upload a new file. it looks fine to me tbh. And afaik extracting images is fair use (and hopefully they'll eventually be uploaded to Brandon's site) thanks for doing the sketching and uploading!
  17. the question is if we want to group all space things together as a 'type' over grouping the cosmere (or other series specific) space things together. I kinda see the latter being more useful compared to the more-generic categories?
  18. I'd still rather have the picture front and center, and yeah the 1024px is just chosen because of my screen, I wanted 100% but it didn't accept that.
  19. I personally would prefer the pictures to 'fill the page' rather than being a thing you have to click thru (twice) to look at in detail.
  20. please upload the files from Brandon's site if you have need of them, it's considered fair use and it's good to have them for pages. the only thing iirc there's wob for Greater Roshar being that system's name? unless that's WoB that's been subsumed by published stories. otherwise I'm fine with using Khriss's names for pages,
  21. if you've read through the article and think everything that could possibly be said is there, change it to {{complete}}. {{stub}} has an obvious lower bound and a subjective upper bound before becoming either {{good}} or {{partial}} ... which I can't quite remember the difference between right now. most articles go {{stub}} -> {{partial}} -> {{complete}} because we only reintroduced the idea of {{good}} recently but I've forgotten why XD. you should feel free to update them but we might revert your changes fairly quickly? but yeah they're all applied vaguely and subjectively but ?
  22. change as much as you feel up to changing, it's a wiki we can always change things back. if you really don't feel up to changing what's there you can copy the article/passage to somewhere under your userpage and improve it there before merging it back or w/e
  23. our help pages were written mostly by people very familiar with how wikis work (aka me mostly, plus some from the other staff). please feel free to edit the help pages adding in anything you discover that's missing from them? the article formats and rules as to what templates/categories etc are stuff we've been meaning to work on defining more, but haven't had much time for them. I'm always around to be asked questions about this stuff btw
