  1. Happy Birthday again :D I hope your life is going fantastic and I look forward to your return if you feel like it <3

  2. I'll see if I can find a way of removing some pages. Thank you for bringing this up.
  3. no you bring up a very good point, and it probably does deserve a spot. If everyone is agreed, I shall add it to the template
  4. it would be great if someone would compile some of the available info on writing on Roshar onto the various coppermind articles, we're currently really lacking in this stuff that would be great
  5. $20 goes a long way, so don't feel like you aren't helping. For example that $20 could keep the coppermind hosted for a whole month.
  6. Don't worry about that, at least you're not editing it multiple times a day XD (I legitimately spend about 5 hours a day on the coppermind
  7. this is a great topic XD, I apologise to everyone for failing to police the boards in my timezone correctly, I have no excuse other than laziness... too busy grooming my beard
  8. Maybe the other/cosmere boards should be swapped?
  9. First posting of art, I think she's commented on other peoples before
  10. Thank you for uploading them to the Coppermind. would you mind re-uploading the 0 symbol as a svg? Thank you so much for your effort in making symbols for us, your work is so great
  11. The icons template should also now take note of those symbols, thank you so much Awesomeness. the Icon's templates need to be changed to use MB3 rather than the M at the end.
  12. thank you very much Jerric Metal names/numbers are equivalent, they all get converted into numbers which get converted into names. Having the epigraphs there and the viewpoint characters and the icons is a great start, hopefully adding the extra meta-data (other characters, extra notes on things that happen) will be easier to do now that the structure is there Thank you
  13. what did you doooo?
  14. no, single place for WoB is unlikely. Theoryland is (I think) aiming to do just q&a (tho they do blogposts because Robert Jordan's blog posts are potentially unstable given that they were hosted not by RJ or something? I agree that it's an imperfect system for blog posts and twitters since it's for q&a and I also agree that a central place would be lovely, but it's unlikely. Maybe a search engine which indexes all these places (or where you can insert just links with tags which get scraped and indexed for better stuff or soemthing?) I am planning to possibly shoehorn an api into Theoryland somehow... I don't know
  15. FYI, we're in the (very slow process, admittedly) of updating the Theoryland system, and I plan on adding most of these features eventually. Categories as well as tags. I would like to be able to just search through Cosmere sometimes, and not be distracted by WoT, or general questions about writing. Or visa-versa. I plan on making the search much more comprehensive, including tag grouping, and tag trees, and the ability to search only in subsets of tags and all sorts of ways to make it easier to read/find only what you want. Ability to browse a single QA session, or browse all topics in a single category or tag This already exists for theoryland questions Simple way to link to an source (i.e. Theoryland, TOR, etc) Theoryland already has source links, including per-quesiton links (for twitter feeds) Clean tool for entering a bunch of questions from a new event. I will definitely be making it much easier to add/edit questions on Theoryland (atm the editing interface is dire) In addition to categories and tags, an easy way to link related questions I am up for suggestions on what kind of relations and displays and things are useful for future implementation on Theoryland Anyone should be able to sign up for an account to contribute I plan on making it a lot more open, with submissions for review by the Theoryland moderators (along with potentially adding edit submissions too) and edit history. I also might add user-voting per question so we can find what are popular questions. I know the feeling that you want a system that has all the bells and whistles, that is able to collate and display all interesting info in unified nice modern clean fun easy to use interfaces. But for one thing, you wouldn't be able to just copy all the data from Theoryland (en-bulk), because it's probably licensed to them, and it's also totally and utterly unfair to rip all their data after the thousands of hours they've put into it. And splitting effort (on input) between two sites just reduces efficiency and quality over all. I'm sorry it's taking so long to improve/fix Theoryland, but it will get done.
  16. Hoid's a necromancer, it's the only solution
  17. yay for new Scroungers readers
  18. Do you have plans for Highstorms? for Parshendi and for things that happen in WoR? I was just curious as to how you would do highstorms in space, maybe a powerful solar flare if its set in a single solar system? Are they going to fight vacuum-inhabiting, interplanetary greatshells? XD
  19. That is definitely something that needs adding to the wiki somewhere
  20. a record* even. I just think it needs to be recorded somewhere, not that it necessarily has to be done as it has been so far
  21. THIS PART WAS SO AMAZING WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOOW you guys continue to be some of the BEST BEST WRITERS IN THE UNIVERSE
  22. similar to how Darniil structured the Mistborn summary? I like seeing all the characters/etc as well as the plot summary. Or at least having a recording of said information.
  23. Indeed, you have a great, well reasoned argument, but I'm still falling to siding with the others, they seem the right choice to me... it might not be the best place for them? but its possibly better than the forums. I would much rather the main articles have more attention first, but maybe it will help the theorizers get in to wikiying XD
  24. all the images are available high-res on Brandon's site
  25. please report bugs with the gallery in here * the default order in the stormlight category is oldest-newest, doesn't really make sense * some way of viewing all art similar to how the recent image thing works?
