  1. Abel sighed in relief as the officers came in. “Oh, thank Corislain for that,” he said, slowly moving into more direct view. “I really thought we were going to die.”
  2. “That’d be helpful. Laonin was our only cook before, and he’s gone. And for those who need it, potions are good.” He paused. She had seemed surprised at his offer. Maybe she wasn’t used to being offered work? “Um,” he said quietly. “I know you like it and all, but can you please not poison us when you’re there?” He had to say it, it wasn’t that he outright distrusted her, but he knew that he was putting himself at risk by asking her to join the Forge. And that it was possible the next time she told one of her stories, he would be the one curled on the ground in pain.
  3. Wilhelm nodded and looked to the man, letting go of his shoulder. Maybe people in this world didn’t like their shoulders getting touched. He wondered about the other world, the one he would explore. Well, all he’d been doing until now was exploring, how could this be any different?
  4. “Ok, Mr. Tattoo,” Abel said, turning back to the security woman. “What do you say?” @Dr. Dapper
  5. “No, thank you,” Robert said, catching the sphere bag and tying it around his waist. “Hands work,” Stepping into the training room, he breathed in the musty smell. Relaxing. A place to fight, to train. And made of stone. Perfect. “I guess we should begin now,” he said, stepping back. “I’ve got some philosophy stuff after this to do.”
  6. Gant nodded. He thought about making a threat, but it would only increase tensions, and besides, he was sure she knew he wasn’t just going to let the baby be taken. “Don’t let her touch metal,” he told, and then stood up, popping on his hat, feeling the sun rattle on his face through the open windows. Stretching, he took out his wooden knuckles, gripped them comfortably in his hand. The smell of clear air was so much more evident outside the saloon. Here, a town bustling with life, and yet here, a man could be shot in a duel, a public hanging could take place, a man could Rust away a storm. The Rusts were a tough place. But as he walked, Gant considered. Would life ever change? Or would this life be the same, a life of robberies and death? With trains, life evolved. No more horses, and now, even he was growing old. Oh, how he would pay to go back to the days of Hammerhand Hargreaves, fist for hire. And now, where was he. At the door of a man he had to beat up, apparently. Time flied. Raising a hand, Gant rapped on the wood door with his own wooden knuckle weapon.
  7. Nothing, dear, Max said, hearing Althea tell her past, observed what she left out. You shouldn’t think so much about this. Relaaaax, he said soothingly. “Agreed,” Max said. “I know we went to the Steamwater when I was a kid, me and Mara and the others, but we were thinking of an expedition around the planets one day,” Max gestured vaguely to denote travelling, and smiled. “I’ve never been to Nalthis, so I can’t wait for that.”
  8. “Um, right now the meeting is a shootout,” Abel called to the man, who seemed - wow, he was scarred. And those cybernetic tattooed - Abel had a little himself, at the very tips of his fingers, but with this man they were everywhere. He could have been an. Cyborg for all Abel knew. And the other man who’d entered, Abel had no idea who he was. “Hey, maybe you two can help me convince these three to not kill each other?” He said, still leaning out from behind the security lady. @Invocation @JacobClaessen
  9. “Oh, just fight as you’d normally, maybe pretend I’m a Voidbringer,” Cup appeared briefly and waved slightly before popping back into being unseen. “I’ll see if I can use a couple new moves,” he said. “Plus, I don’t know if we’ve seen a Voidbringer with Stoneward surges, but it’ll be worth it to practise with it, just in case.”
  10. “I mean, kind of,” Alask said, looking to Nekorb and Galvris, to see if they had any objections. But that dropped smile, when the eyes went cold and the voice became icy. Alask remembered when that happened, outside the Alleyzon building. How it seemed the mask had fallen. He’d been different then, more afraid. But even now, he still treaded carefully. “Extra hands would be great. Especially with our main leader missing in action. Yeah, that’s what I’m asking.” He stood, idly putting his hands in his pockets. “It’s approaching sunset,” he heard. “Are we still going out to kill?” Maybe we can skip tonight? “You promised me two kills for staying under control yesterday.” He had. Fine. I’ll see what I can do.
  11. A figure with a slight frame and a long black cloak wrapped many times over him stepped into the bar, then took a small step back from the sharp scent of alchohol. For this figure was only a kid. And maybe the cloak would have looked intimidating if it wasn’t on a nervous, bumbling youth, with glasses to fit his appearance. Hesitantly, he hopped over to a barstool. Next to the one called Darkness. “Um, hi?” He said, tapping them on the shoulder. “I think you’d be interested in something. A little plan.” @Vargo Seldon
  12. “Great,” Rob said and slowly walked down towards the basement, grabbing a croissant on his way. “I wanted to practise a bit more with my surges. Taking care of bodies is good, but fighting would be better.”
  13. Hello! So I’m pretty behind on most things now. From what I can tell inactive people are suspected because we think the elim team is inactive? Anyway, I want to be useful to the village, I am a Veteran Player (hah), I can remove one vote each Week. I never used it except the first Week, where I took my own vote so it appeared like it wasn’t me (plot twist) and never used it again, partly because I was inactive, partly because the time where I did get the opportunity it was the 4 way tie and I didn’t want to ruin that. Edit: I claimed this to Elandera.
  14. Because the thread moved so fast, and Rob was unaccustomed to fast-moving things, Rob was confused what to do. “Anybody willing to spar?” He called out.
  15. “No idea,” Gant said. “She didn’t come with a collar or anything.” He looked to Kate. Did he really trust her with the child? But Gant knew his way around the Rust, he was sure he could track her down eventually. “Fine,” Gant said, putting the satchel down again. “Not giving you my treasure though. And don’t you dare do anything to her.” Slowly he stood up and gestured to the child. “Name her whatever you want. What’s this person who owes you money’s name?”
  16. Wow, we have a site! Like the Inquisition RP!
  17. Lusk raised his hand. “Objection, the Ghostbloods also practise Hemalurgy professionally.”
  18. Rob woke up the time he always woke up, it was such a habit he didn’t even need an alarm. Getting up, he walked downstairs and waved at whoever had already woken up.
  19. Sure are. What do you have in mind?
  20. “No stormlight,” The Haunt said, turning to see the woman he was talking to roll her eyes. At him? “Unlike other creatures, I don’t need any of of your stormlight,” he stressed his voice to emphasise his words, turning to the woman with a smug grin he was disappointed she couldn’t see. “I don’t need any real power source for my powers, to be honest. How’s that for mystery? In fact, I- I bet you could lock me in an aluminium room and I’d still escape.” He twiddled his thumbs nervously, and turned in midair to the horneater again. “But you can worship me, if you want. I’ll bless you or whatever else you want.” Well, at least someone payed proper attention. The Haunt had found these PCs to be shockingly less afraid of him then he’d originally thought. ||-|| “No, it’s fine,” Alask said to Nekorb. “We’ve all been away, I guess.” He looked to Lena. So, she made money where she could. “You could always join the Forge,” he said. “We don’t do what you do, but you know, we don’t have members and if you need work it’s good.” He dobted poison making would come in handy in the job, but he needed to at least ask. Something about a paper of him twisted at being friendly with Lena. She killed people. Poisoned them. And wasn’t his whole mission this last year trying to stop people from killing others? To kill the criminals around the little Forge territory? And yet, here he was, talking to another murderer. Do you think she’s bad, Shez? Alask asked. Lena. For killing people. “She doesn’t break Rules,” Came the response. “Don’t care.” And if she did? “I’d tear her apart.” Alask sighed. For however intelligent Shez was, being bonded to Alask, it was important to remember that like a cryptic lied, or a highspren abided by rules, with Shez everything was black and white. Follow the Rules or not. Die or not. Alask wished he could see everything as simple as his Shade.
  21. Ok, Wes wrote and packed up the spanreed, wrapping his cloak around him again and jogging to the place the messenger had specified.
  22. Finally! Now my own rules (muahahaahaahahaaaahahahaa!) I propose: The Beginnings of Democracy: We have a poll and whoever gets the most votes is the president, who gets the ability to give up to 50 points to anyone but themselves.
  23. Wes read the note with wide eyes. He carefully unpacked the spanreed and wrote the response. Sure! I mean, I didn’t know he knew me, but I would be happy to, sir.
  24. Wilhelm raised his hand slightly. He could also slaughter an animal. But he considered whether he wanted to share that right now, and his hand dropped. “Why take a look up there when we have this man right here,” he put a hand on the shoulder of the doorman and smiled at him again.
