[KB] Kaiju battle: Devourer vs The Deep
I think I am here. replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
The Deep lay at the bottom of the ocean, where it had been for a long time. Trapped, imprisoned so far down even its gargantuan movements didn't have much effect on the surface world, now just a distant memory in The Deep's instinctual, predatorial mind. Not much came within the confines of these walls, not much lived here anyway. The Deep made by with what it had. But still, it served its masters. It was loyal. It was good-behaved. Even if it hadn't been used in upwards of about 10,000 years. This prison was confining. The Deep didn't even bother swimming around in it, for it knew that it would eventually just lead to a wall, one that would cover all of the realms, so that there would be no way for it to escape, not even with its unique ability of phasing through the realms. Zipping back and forth between the unimaginably deep ocean it rested in to the vast expanse of the Cognitive underground, it travelled between both before phasing into the Spiritual Realm. Time and space didn't matter here, but still The Deep was blocked. Still. Something changed. It didn't make a sound, nor was it seen, but sensed, for the next moment, the snake wasn't blocked. Zipping back to the Cognitive to the Physical and vice versa The Deep couldn't sense it's boundaries any longer. It was... what was the word? Free? It seemed like a foreign concept as The Deep swirled, and then launched itself upwards, moving faster than a steel compounder through its waters, but still taking a while before it shot out of the surface, the light blinding. Free. The Deep snarled, opening its jaws and letting loose its fangs. It lay, almost 1000 feet in height, it's serpentine body snaking out of the waters. The scariest thing? Most of it was still underwater. Looking around, The Deep tried to take in most of its surroundings. Tilting its head, it- Oh, it thought, spotting that, that thing in the distance, on the sand. It's you. They met eyes for a moment, each knowing exactly what they thought of each other. And charged.- 20 replies

Crackpot Theories (A game)
I think I am here. replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Proof: Alcatraz breaks things. Breaking the fourth wall is completely within his capabilities. But there’s not just that. Hoid’s a worldhopper. It’s almost if... he breaks the border between planets, right? And seemingly lives forever, it’s like he broke the age barrier or something. Hoid likes to break people’s sanity with his jokes. Coincidence? I think not! Theory: All of the Shards are actually Shin chickens that have taken the Patji worm. Together, they form one massive chicken, named Elvis. -
Might want to store self-respect too.

Welcome to the Shard! We’d (like in the community way, not in the hivemind ONE OF US way) also like to know you! What two books do you wish Brandon would write next?

Long Game 48: The Terris Synod
I think I am here. replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ok. I can see how people are getting suspicious, but again, most of the votes on me were simply bandwagon votes, piggy-backing off of the main accusers. Yes, I also voted on Coop for self-preservation, obviously, but people seem so adamant to bring up my counter-lynch rather than the initial team up. To me, people who voted for Coop early would be fine. Since I had the lynch lead then, it would have been safer to go with the bandwagon then bring up a new candidate, like some had did. If elims really were backing me up, it could be so they could make a tie. After all, it doesn’t matter who dies to them, as long as they’re a villager, right? This also makes people who voted for me without proper reason suspicious too, as it matches directly with this speculation.- 378 replies

- Tapping Cadmium in a swimming competition. - Storing Gold and convincing the doctor you need a drug prescription for “medical uses.” - Tap Steel while playing a video game = crazy combos. - Tap and Store Iron while wresting: store to be light on your feet then tap to be super heavy. - Store Bendalloy in eating competitions. Infinite appetite. - Store your Duralumin when playing hide and seek. - Tapping Duralumin in court.

Seon. Lifeless are noticeable, and though I haven’t read Warbreaker yet, I’m guessing they’re my very intelligent either. Would you rather be killed by Ruin or Odium? -
Yup.

Ok, that’s bad. Pretty bad. I guess we could now look for people who had relations to Coop, and see where that leads us. This kinda also makes me look suspicious, so maybe I can redirect everyone who voted on me to read my D1 defense post?- 378 replies

Long Game 48: The Terris Synod
I think I am here. replied to Fifth Scholar's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Woah. Not two hours from rollover, and I’m being bandwagoned. Though I can sort of understand the frustration of being bandwagoned overnight, never thought it’d happen with me! Anyway, you guys should probably note why I was thinking the way I was about the Synod. One of my previous games (space scadrial one) had something similar to this, but it had the purpose of being a village-only doc. I was under the impression the Syond was like this, a mechanic with similar advantages and drawbacks. For one, a village only doc could help the village, but it could also open up suspicions about those village people if people think they’re using a doc. So yeah, this was how I was originally thinking about the Synod. It also should be noted when it was brung up that the Synod could have an elim, I agreed, I just didn’t think having one elim member would do any good Synod-voting wise. Also, my topic on bandwagons. Did you even read the post preceding it? Context would help here. One of Rand’s bigger beginning posts said that the possibility of lots of vote-manip meant that we needed to choose a lynch target and stick with it. I was simply saying I agree, and was rephrasing it. And now that I say it, doesn’t it make sense? If the possibility for vote-manip is so high, wouldn’t you want decisive lynches? Also, Itiah VI is an explorer. This is explained in his first post But yeah, other than that, it seems everyone else has joined solely because of bandwagoning, which seems kinda unfair, and I hope what I’ve said is enough. Coop772 I know this goes against what I said about close lynches, but come on, he hasn’t even explained his reasons yet. He removed his own vote solely to save his own skin, and he admitted it. And now, even though he has far less votes than me, acts like he’s going to die, which seems like an overreaction. If your vote wouldn’t be on WfY at the end of the day, why vote on WfY anyway? This heavily suggests to me that Coop here is softly claiming to be the Copper Ferring, but that’s all it is, a last minute claim. Besides, Rand’s explanation of why people should vote has convinced me.- 378 replies

Hello, Gollum Lumgol! If you had to pick one power from any cosmere book, which one would you have?

Yeah. I pointed out that the fact that WfY felt she had to vote may have been indicative of a fill condition or something, but I'm not quite sure how Coop has gotten to the conclusion that that makes her a suspicious target for any reason. Thinking that you need to vote on someone (especially on your first SE playthrough) doesn't seem like something that's ever been linked to the elims. I'd like to hear Coop's reasoning, though, before I commit a vote. Hopefully Rand's should be enough incentive.- 378 replies

Yup. Feruchemical Nicrosil can pretty much store any Investiture, including Allomancy, so when you compound it and compound it and compound and it and then finally release it, you can upwards of unlimited power Allomantically, in the same way you can get almost unlimited Feruchemical power from regular compounding. In a way, instead of there being a separate metal you can compound to get a bigger allomantic effect (like you can feruchemically), Nicrosil covers all of that, so it's more about what you store in it. On a side note, this means any form of Investiture (eg. Stormlight, Breaths) could be recreated infinitely this way, which is crazy. Thank the God Beyond TLR didn't have any Cosmere ruling ambitions, because could have totally done that.

Oracle. Very available, has its uses and not crazily expensive. Also, if we’re talking Earth here, atium doesn’t exist. Would you rather have Zinc or Brass as an allomantic ability? -
