I think it’s a possibility, but I think it would be cooler to have a new character. A Mistborn in Era 3 Scadrial is shocking/interesting on its own, I think. No need to add an unnecessary connection, I think. It’s my personal theory, and I think I posted this on another thread, but it’s my personal theory that through the Set breeding Allomancers and using Hemalurgy to breed more Allomancers, they’ve bred a completely natural Mistborn, but one with the emotional instability of its Hemalurgic heritage. Brandon has said being born form a Spiked has issues, so I think the cracks in ten soul will carry over. So, we have this completely natural Mistborn, who’s seriously messed up emotionally and highly unstable. Seems perfect for a serial killer. I can imagine 3 possibilities from this: a). The Mistborn helps the Set voluntarily, though why the Set would want to just go on a murdering spree is beyond me. b). The Set are using the Mistborn’s emotional instability to control it, forcing it to do the killings. The main character in Era 3 is a Nicroburst, so maybe the series will end with her Nicrobursting a fellow Soother/Rioter, and they free the Mistborn from the Set’s control. This could mean they have the Mistborn as an ally. c). This is the option I most like, and that I most want to happen. I think that the Set would not be prepared for breeding a Mistborn, and they would underestimate it. When it grows old enough, I think the Mistborn will escape the Set’s hands, it is a Mistborn after all. Tired of following orders and pretty much insane from its emotional instability, I think this is why the Mistborn will become a Serial Killer. I think the Era 3 SWAT team will be searching Scadrial to find this killer, and at the same time the Set will also be trying to hunt it down, not wanting one of, if not the, best weapon in their arsenal to just be running off. So this is how I think it will go. A serial killer Mistborn, with both SWAT and The Set after them. I expect there to be a scene where they’re all in the same place at once, and an epic brawl takes place. Both want the Mistborn for themselves. Who knows, maybe in the end the Mistborn will even see a slight bit of reason and help the good guys defeat the Set, agreein to stop killing random people if the government leaves them alone. So the Mistborn runs off, finally happy with the peace it’s been given. It’s no longer being hunted. And we never see them again. But maybe we’ll get them as a cameo here and there. But that’s just a theory. A book theory.

The coin hit Ambrosia in the shoulder. Mara smiled, but was frowning inside. She was running out of attacks, and she was dying. The two weren’t a good mix. Taking out the knife in her shoulder, she tried to cover up the wound and threw the knife away. Ambrosia wasn’t making an attack, for some reason. Mara looked back. Atticus was swinging a hammer down on Max. A hammer made of metal. Crawling to angle herself just right, Mara strained and tried to Push the hammer out of Atticus’ grip, or at least reduce the impact. *** Max saw the forcefield go up, but he knew Atticus’ blow would still damage him. Atticus was aiming for the face. Bringing up his hands in front of his face, Max prepared to block the hammer and grab onto it. He was still maintaining his Riot.

He means they’ll see the scene where Kabsal gives Shallan the poisoned jam and bread.

Agreed, a blown up and destroyed AlleyCity (from right after the SDW) would be awesome. All the destruction, both Abomination-caused or nuke-caused, would be sweet. This is something Meta did a while back and I think it was agreed upon. We don’t actually have any drawings, though:

One by one, each of the nine attacking ropes got demolished. Only the tenth, which had escaped through its initial tunnel, had escaped before it could be destroyed. That was good. It meant that this rope, the last remaining of the Snope, held all the Breaths that originally made it up. All 1,291. In one rope. That was good. No Breath had been wasted. It meant another Snope could be made with the same Breaths. The rope wandered down the tunnel and dissapeared. *** Lusk was fully conscious as the Snope was killed. He saw how each fighter, with their own unique powers, took it down. Useful. But now, lots of the interior was broken. That’s wasn’t good. Signalling some Ghostblood underlinings to fix this place, Lusk stood on a chair to address everyone. “Hello all! We are very sorry at this problem coming up. It’s highly unprofessional, and we hope you can forgive us for it. “It appears as though the Snope was part of some... containment breach. Luckily, it’s one of our weakest monsters in our arsenal, so hopefully no one got too hurt. Lusk looked around. “So again, thank you for taking the Monster down, please don’t think anything of it, and we’ll make sure to upgrade our containment procedures.” And update our Monster, he thought to himself with a little smile. Now that we know all the ways you fight a Snope, the next one won’t nearly be as easy. Lusk took a deep breath. “But there is something good to come out of this! As you probably know, the Ghostbloods have some of the finest drinks, and most of them we only serve in the heat of action! So, due to our condolences, please accept one of the best drinks we have, on the house!” He signalled for some underlings to pass the drinks around. He neglected to mention they each had a light amnesiac in them. If all went to Plan, they wouldn’t even remember they fought something. As the drinks got passed around, Lusk looked at the 5 Ghostbloods who’s been tasked with fixing the ball. They were the best of the best. One of them was a Forger, and the others were all Nicrobursts. Lusk saw as they all grabbed onto the Soulstamp the Forger held, and flared its power immensely as the Forger pressed it into the ground. Immediatly, the Ball fixed itself as a wave of light washed over it from the stamp. Floorboards got fixed, the ground wasn’t frictionless, the chandelier had never been broken, there was no gaping hole in the ground. Everything was as it was just before the Monster had come. A broken thing couldn’t be seen. Cotton-Eye Joe started playing. “Enjoy the Ball!” Lusk said, walking to the side of the ballroom again.

Questions red eyes and metals
I think I am here. replied to TrдVψLшR 0115's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Though the red-Investiture question has been answered, I think I’ll add some more detail to the metals and stormlight. Imagine Allomantic metals as a portal. When an Allomancer burns the metal, they effectively open the portal, or gateway, or password or key or focus or whatever. This portal lets in Investiture from the Spiritual Realm into the Allomancer. The ‘portal’ in the metals is basically they’re molecular structure. This is also how Metals are different from stormlight and gems. Stormlight is pure Investiture, very different from a portal that lets Investiture in. Gems, on the other hand, are stores of Investiture. Metals aren’t like this. They don’t store anything (unless you’re talking about Feruchemy). They’re just gateways to Investiture. Hope this helps. -
Mara tried to dodge but it just ended up with the knife in her shoulder. Rusts. Pain flooded her, but pain was a familiar sensation. Scrambling, Mara dropped her swords and tried to get Ambrosia in a headlock. Taking out a coin, she focused on her Nicrosil. She’d been operating at four times the power of a coinshot, but four times wasn’t enough. Focusing, she enhanced her steel further. Five times, six times, seven times, eight times, nine times, ten times and more, she flared her steel and surged her Nicrosil. Finally, she pointed the coin at Ambrosia and fired it off at the speed of sound. *** Max’s mind lost grip. It almost collapsed on itself, too, cracked so much by Atticus breaking control. But that feeling, the glee of having that power over someone, it energised him. Atticus picked up the Warhammer and swung it to Max. Crawling back, Max flared all his Aons, hoping the ones he wanted were recharged by now, thrust out his arms and... The air around Max shimmered and solidified into a pale green forcefield. Max had time now. But what could he do? Regain control. Preparing himself for the linking of minds that would take place, Max supertapped another two Nicrosil minds at once and Rioted Atticus. If he wouldn’t regain control at least he would shatter Atticus’ mind with brute force.

The Monster raged on. It grabbed a random person and threw them against the wall. Their bones cracked, and the Monster resumed its attack. Suddenly, it was on fire, the ropes making up its body lighting fire and burning. The Monster did not feel emotion and it did not fear pain, but it knew fire would kill it and wanted to finish off this party before that happened. The Monster saw as a few of its ropes whithered away. Multiple surges of Division and Aon Sheo working in unison, all at once. A few of its ropes got chopped clean in half by Shard-weapons, and a few more go destroyed through other means. It had a secret, though. *** Lusk woke up with a groan as he saw what was taking place. A monster, attacking the party. But that wasn’t what interested him. What interested him was the Breaths. Every time a rope ‘died’, instead of the Breath going back into the Spiritual Realm where it belonged, it went back to one of the non-destroyed ropes! So in the whole battle thus far, with as many ropes destroyed as there were, not one Breath had actually been wasted. They were all being transferred to the alive ropes at death, making them stronger and more lifelike. Lusk’s eyes widened. The Ghostblood engineers, they’d mastered the Command! They’d been planning for their weapons to do this all the way since the Seven Day War. It seemed their Awakeners had improved over the 16 Year Peace. As more ropes died the alive ones grew stronger with their Breaths, and when the Monster seemed to have almost 10 ropes left of its body, it split and attacked multiple targets at once. *** The Monster was strong. Though it had originally been bigger, now all the energy used in keeping it alived was supercharging what was left. Suddenly, when it was low on numbers, the Monster split its 10 ropes. Each attacked a different target that had been fighting the Monster. With each rope being faster and a small target, it was a surprising move. But while nine ropes attacked and distracted the party-goers now, the tenth one fled back into the hole it had created when it had entered, fleeing before anyone could comprehend its departure.

The Monster surged and squirmed. It was a thing of primal instinct, created to destroy, not much else. Just one of the newer monsters the Ghostbloods had created in the 16 Year Peace, one of the weaker ones two. A lady Pushed herself above it and poured whisky on the Monsters head, dropping a match. But the Monster was a hive mind, so when the match dropped, the Monster sent only one of its rope-tendrils to grab it out of midair, sacrificing itself for the Monster. Upwards. The monster had no eyes, but it could still see. The lady who dropped the match was still above it. Sending four ropes upwards to grab and tighten around the lady’s arms and legs, the Monster yanked her towards its main body, ready to strangle her.

They were coming again. Too small to be an earthquake, to large to be a drunken hallucination. The tremors were happening. Periodically. The underling had come back, thankfully, with two of his friends. Lusk sighed. Two wouldn’t cut it. Another rumble and tremor rang through the ground, vibrating and shaking the silverware in their place. Some people were starting to get worried, it seemed. Taking a char from the side and standing up on it, Lusk addressed the party. “Hello all! Please do not mind the slight tremors here and there, our team is trying very hard to -” Something burst out of the ground. It twisted and turned and swirled high in the air, it’s mass snake-shaped as it lashed down to attack. Only if you were close would you notice it was actually 50 Awakened ropes, brought to life by the command to “Be one.” It was effectively a hivemind of individual ropes, and at any moment could split into 50 of its smaller forms. “Everyone get down!” Lusk shouted as he was picked up and thrown across the room.

Another tremor. Lusk could feel it this time. A few party-goers looked around in surprise, but Lusk assured them that it was nothing. What was that? Feeling the vibrations beneath his boots, he stormed to one of the Ghostblood underlings and signalled then over. “Yes, sir?” “Do you feel these tremors?” “Yes, sir.” “And it’s not part of the Plan, is it?” “No, sir.” “So why is it happening?” The youth fumbled. “I... I don’t know, sir.” Another tremor. A few unnoccupied chairs flipped over, the music quietened slightly. Slowly, Lusk turned to the underling. “Go get backup.

Lusk looked around with a smile. The Ball was going well. Very well. He’d been happy when it had first been announced, and he was just as happy now. Members from all guilds were here, and that would make the Plan easier. Lusk was familiar with the Plan. He’d been a hand in its creation, after all. A way for the Ghostbloods to get back into the spotlight. A way for the Ghostbloods to show they meant business. The age of the Ghostbloods was coming, and it was coming soon. Lusk was so caught up in his thoughts he almost didn’t notice the slight tremor beneath his feet.

Well explained, Dusty.

Max saw Atticus get hit square in the face with the Sheo gauntlet, and laughed. It was a comforting laugh, mainly meant to distract Max from his own pain. This fight had taken its toll on him, not to mention he still had to focus his mind in controlling Atticus. Atticus. For a second of pure rage alone he dwindled out of Max’s grip, but the Rioter took him by the mind and didn’t let go. Max could already feel his own mind cracking, but he continued. “You are my slave!” He shouted back. “I CONTROL YOU!” *** Mara felt a hand on her arm, and jerked back as it started to turn to dust. But she was prepared. Both swords in hands, Mara twisted around to meet Ambrosia and attempted to plummet both of them within her chest. She hadn’t been close enough to do this before. She was now.

The person with the glowing ball said hello back, and Lusk was relieved he hadn’t accidentally distracted himself from his job. The person Lusk had talked to was approached by another person, asking to define a guest who had just entered. “Why?” Lusk asked, walking up to the person. This was his business. “Do you think they could be trouble?”
-
Lusk entered. He gave the announcer a small nod as he handed in an invite. “Lusk! Ghostblood.” As some people in the ball turned to Lusk he smiled politely to them, making sure not to touch the silver doorhandle as he entered into the cool air of the ball. He looked to the Council, their shadowy figures watching all that was taking place. He did a little bow, and proceeded to look around. Not a bad place. He took an inconspicuous position at the side of the ballroom. Of course, he himself wasn’t very inconspicuous, what with the badly creased suit, slightly messy hair and habit for fidgeting, not to mention the fact he always looked somehow distant... but it was something. Inconspicuity was important. Lusk was a sort of bouncer, one could say. A bouncer who wasn’t muscular or particularly confident, but still one nonetheless. One with abilities that would help him. He was here to make sure nothing came too out of hand. So many magic users here, and sometimes you needed someone like Lusk to make sure things ran smoothly. Half of him wanted someone to do something wrong, if only to experience the satisfaction of taking him out. The other half strongly prayed for the opposite. Lusk was bored. He saw a person standing to a glowing ball, and waved. “Hi!” He said. Oh, no. He’d really done it now. E wasn’t supposed to wave. Still, he had. Nothing to do about it now. He gulped. @Inklingspren

Oh, child. Sit down. It’s time to introduce you to the Cosmere. Almost every Brandon book you’ve read is connected in one universe. One galaxy, actually. The planet with Mistborn (Scadrial), the planet with Warbreaker (Nalthis), and the planet with the Stormlight Archive (Roshar) are all part of one dwarf galaxy. The people who you see from one series in another are what we call ‘Worldhoppers’. They’re usually in small cameo roles and they basically travel among all these planets using magic. There’s an organisation of them, too, who are called The 17th Shard. This forum is named after them. Hope this helps.
