Max lay on his back, eyes on the sky, puffing. The forcefield was still up, though there were no more pieces of rock falling down now, just smoke rising from the debris, coalescing just outside the forcefield. He didn't take his eyes off looking straight up, but still answered the people who were thanking him between breaths. He was exhausted. "No...problem...I'm...Max." He turned his helmeted head, visor still down, sideways and saw a Kandra and a woman who he was fairly sure was a Ghostblood looking at him as he regained his breath. "I'm a Ghostblood too. Nice to meet you." He waved a hand and the forcefield dissipated. It would be a while before the Aons would recharge on that one. "You can go if you want, though it was nice meeting you." He tried getting up but collapsed on the ground again. "I'm probably just going to stay lying here, unless one of you -" Suddenly the trio were in Shadesmar. "Woah," Max said, barely getting up again. Some of the exhaustion had faded. "Yeah, we should probably go. But where?"

An explosion. Max looked back, and saw a massive tower crumbling in a burst of yellow flames. He saw a couple people next to it, about to be crushed. Time slowed. They were about to be killed. Max could save them, couldn't he? Like you didn't save Mara. Shutting the thoughts out of his head, Max took off. The Shardplate gave him heightened agility, but tapping the Aons for speed that lined his legs he sped up further, leaving a cloud of dust in his path. He wasn't as fast as a steelrunner, or as fast as Rashan had been, but it was something, and with his Aons, he could perhaps make it in time. The Aons for speed would take a while to recharge after this, but if he could save the people about to be crushed, it would be worth it. Concentrate. He didn't have to be a killer. That's what Mara had always told him. She'd told him he didn't have to assassinate, that he could save people too. Of course, Mara's peacefulness only extended to those untouched by Hemalurgy, so maybe even she had a bit of hypocracy in her too. Max's legs started to tire. That wasn't a good sign, especially with all the speed enhancers he was using now. Emotional Allomancy wouldn't help him here, unfortunately. That was the bad thing about a mental power. With no one to use it on, it was as good as being an aluminium misting. Of course, even aluminium mistings were useful in some regard. Soul had been an alumium misting, after all, and he'd been one of the best warriors until the Seven Day War claimed him, too. There. Max dived for the people underneath the building just as it collapsed, raising his hand upwards abruptly and watching as the air shimmered and a green forcefield appeared above them. Rocks and debris bounced off, and Max sighed in exertion. Te forcefield was pelted by the force of the collapsing building, but it held. And Max had saved people, too. That was good. He looked to one of the people he'd saved. "Hey."

Max tapped Hellbent on the shoulder. "Hey," he said. "It seems you're in need of a Rioter, and when I supertap my nicrosilminds, I'm literally one of the most powerful on the planet. Perhaps I can be of assistance?" He pointed at the Fiend. "Teleport me there, and maybe I can do something. Now to mention my," he activated the Aon Sheos on his gauntlets, Aons taken directly from Mara's armour. "My offensive capabilities."

Vans in appeared in the Beyond, next to Atticus. He eyed the armoured giant wearily. "Uh... hi." He nervously extended a hand out. "You're not going to kill me, are you? I saw your duel, and while it was a cool duel, I kinda got nightmares about you. For days. Yeah."

How would you like to join the Sentinels? Max considered the offer. Sentinels. In a way, the opposite of the Ghostbloods. While the Ghostbloods assassinated, the Sentinel's acted as protection. Both were powerful, both were rivals. An offer? The Sentinels were preparing a place in their ranks for Max, a known Ghostblood? It was interesting. Mara would have liked it. She would've joined if she had the chance. She never approved of Max's loyalty to the Ghostbloods. Max stood still in his armour, a fusion of his and Mara's. If he wouldn't join the Sentinels for himself, he would do it for his sister. "I would be honoured." He said, finally, a hint of a smile beginning to play on his face.

Max appeared. He looked around. So, this was where the war was happening. He looked at a large cannon shooting bombs and walked towards it in his turquoise armour.

Max sighed, and looked upwards into the sky. He was needed. Standing up, Max trudged off in his armour, wavin goodbye to the fisherman.

A fog curled in the distance, and from it emerged a man shrouded in turquoise armour, aonic lines surging through the plates. Max looked around the Alleyharbour. Peaceful, unlike the war that appeared to be taking place elsewhere. He saw man sit on the edge of the pier with a foot dipped into the water. Max walked towards him, taking a seat next to him when he was close. “Lovely weather, isn’t it?” He asked through the visor of his helmet. @xinoehp512

Hello! @Archer Could you please add this character to the list? I think it’ll be my replacement second one now that Mara is dead (is that disrespectful to Mara? )

Max looked at the completed armour as it glowed radiantly in the sunlight. Or was that the Aons? He smiled, brushing his hand across its surface. The Sentinel’s had done a good job. Each Aon on the two armours was now onto this one, lending it both increased strength and agility. It’s colour was a mix between Max’s solid green and Mara’s ocean blue. It lay a glorious aqua, swirling into a pattern on some parts of the armour. Already Max could feel his heartbeat quicken, his lips twitch into words. “It’s beautiful. How can I repay you?” @BitBitio

Max smiled warmly. Someone had actually responded. Stepping back and taking the sheet off of the simple wooden card, Max revealed a suit of armour laying on it. His sister’s. Obviously, it was of no use now. “I hear the Sentinel’s are some of the best weaponsmiths in the Alleyverse. Do you think you’d be able to fuse my armour and my sisters into one? Keeping all the Aon etchings on both, of course.” Max bowed. “As for payment, I have a variety of skills that could be of use.”

Max walked to the large building before him, clad in serpent green armour head to toe. He dragged behind him a cart with a cart with a sheet over it. “Anyone there?” He called out. “I got a proposition.”

Max appeared, his face oddly blank. “Mara was a good sister. She will be missed.” A few people frowned as Max left and took a seat to watch the preparations. That was all he’d had to say? A hand rested on his shoulder and Max turned to find Lusk. “Hey, Nolastname.” Rusting Lusk. But Max couldn’t kill him yet, not at his own sister’s funeral. He waited quietly and hoped Lusk would leave, but the man was as stubborn as a Highstorm, and if you crossed him, as vicious as one too. “I hear you controlled Atticus in the duel.” He whispered. “Not a good time.” “Even with his emotion dampeners, you still controlled him for a large part of the fight.” “Lusk...” “And the spikes! You overcomed your fear of the spikes.” “What are you getting at?” “You’ve been promoted within the Ghostbloods. You’re an Elite.” “I... I am?” “Yeah. Now, I’m going to leave you to your mourning and go.” Lusk stood up to leave, and as he left another Ghostblood entered, wearing an apron and giving people free ice-creams. Unlike most other foods in the Alleyverse, the ice-creams were actually... just ice-creams.
