Given that Dalinar can supercharge Radiants, he may never run out of Stormlight if he were to bond Jezrien's Blade. Also worth noting is that then he'd have a double-helping of Adhesion, which would be...interesting.
-
Different Blade. They got swapped en route to the Plains. Here's a WOB: That was Jezrien's Blade that Szeth held and Kaladin took from him.

It's kind of like a Stormlight-ified chess. I don't have the board I carved on me, since my grandfather borrowed it to use as a size measurement, but it's a 10 by 10 board with rectangles shaped for the cards. Each grouping of card can do various things, kind of like chess, like how the squire (a 2) requires another card to capture. That squire belongs to the most basic rung of movement alongside all the numerical cards, where it can only go 2 squares a turn (unless it makes it to the final row of the enemy barracks, at which point it becomes a Shardbearer and gains all of that power). The Soulcaster card is the Ace (and has art of Jasnah with a Soulcaster on it, because I tend to use my custom Stormlight deck for this), and it can move up to 8 spaces a turn, along with the ability to swap one friendly card for another (either itself or another friendly card it is sharing at least one corner with, and can swap with any friendly card save the king). The King is naturally the king face-card, and it can traverse the entire board in any direction, including diagonal unlike most cards, which can only move vertically or horizontally, but it is also the lynchpin card if you'll remember. You lose that, you lose everything. Worth noting is that the back two rows are known as barracks, and are where all the cards start out at. When there are more cards than fit in both the rows of the barracks, you wait to sub those in until there are open spots in the barracks and fill them in. In those situations, initial setup can decide the whole game. I have no idea if that makes any sense outside of my head. It'd be easier to explain via playing, but I've already mentioned the issues with that

I actually made this game! At least as best as I could. I made a Stormlight Archive deck using art, both official and some that I found around here.

What's your favorite Alcatraz Character
Invocation replied to a topic in Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians
Tie between Kazan and Sing. They're great. -
It's not. They don't even know about instant noodles (except Taldain), so who is he going to tell about it? This is pure WOB knowledge right here.
-
Instant noodles are the focal point that the cosmere hangs on.

Wonder Woman 1984 - costume looks like Shardplate?
Invocation replied to Iarwainiel I's topic in Entertainment Discussion
That's the official wording, and it seems to state that while the armor is glowing, it is also naturally blue.- 16 replies

Wonder Woman 1984 - costume looks like Shardplate?
Invocation replied to Iarwainiel I's topic in Entertainment Discussion
It's actually stated in the flashback Dalinar experiences that Radiant Plate is not grey, at least the Windrunner that he sees with blue plate. This implies it matches the color of their order, which I'd believe, honestly.- 16 replies

You put the apostrophe in the right place. Approved. Welcome to the Shard!

Smash is great! I'm partial to Brawl, honestly.

That's what I've been saying! Mix 2D and 3D animation for some sick camera tricks and you wouldn't have to worry about CGI overload on the Inquisitors or casting issues.

I Really Reeaallyy Hate Shallan
Invocation replied to LopentheHerdazian's topic in Stormlight Archive
There are so many posts about this that you didn't need to post it four times -
I don't read that as literal, honestly. "I can give it to you," was the phrase, and I kind of think she meant more that she could lead Dalinar more than directly handing it to him.

PM me if you want. Magics are my favorite part of world creation and I'm happy to help you work out a similar-to-DnD system.

A horn sounds out through the arena, reminiscent of a submarine's dive horn but shrill, piercing ears near and far alike, followed in short order by a massive, world shaking rumble coming from all directions. There is no announcement, however, unlike all preceding events. Inside the Cornucopia, a table rises, with one seat for each remaining tribute, and fully fleshed placemats with a warming dome on top rest in front of each seat. A folded plaque with each contestant's name rests before their designated seats. Outside the Cornucopia and its mountain, the world grows dark where before it was bright and it looks as though the edges of the arena have curved upwards, sealing at the top, yet somehow not dropping their contents on the ground below. After a small delay, long enough for the horns and rumbling to subside, a voice rings out through the arena: "The feast's truce is now in effect. If you are in the vicinity of the feast table, fighting is no longer allowed. This ceasefire will be lifted in three hours. May the odds be ever in your favor, tributes." @kenod @Blessing of Potency @John Flamesinger

To be perfectly honest, it doesn't have much of an effect (yet) on the rest of the cosmere, so it doesn't much matter. Feel free to read it whenever, but if you're going to read the novellas and assorted short stories, might as well get yourself a copy of Arcanum Unbounded and binge them all right after you finish Mistborn Era 2. Get a glut of quick stories to satisfy that rush of seeing a story come to completion without investing hours of time per story.

this might have some spoilers Connection among the Parshendi

Ah, fair enough. My bad. -

Invocation replied to GoWibble's topic in Stormlight Archive
My thought process is that before Kaladin had actually said an Oath, he was able to do some of the things Windrunners could unconsciously, so it stands to reason that maybe, even without an Oath, Gavilar would have been able to do something similar with the attention of the Stormfather on him. -

Invocation replied to GoWibble's topic in Stormlight Archive
It's also possible that it was Gavilar. He was on track to become a Bondsmith, likely also with the Stormfather, since he mutters "Unite them" at one point, and we know Dalinar can forge Connection with Spiritual Adhesion. Could just be that in a semi-passive effect. -
He had a set of piercings that were mentioned in an epigraph as ceremonial due to his status as the Hero, so it's very possible that one of them had some slight Hemalurgic charge that let Ruin talk to him, or that the sheer number of them cracked his soul enough when combined with his doubts and self-consciousness to let Ruin speak to him. (Epigraph for reference, bolding mine.)
