  1. Charcoal Hyena. @Charcoal Hyena You have some explaining to do, Mr. Soother Mistborn Hyena. Did someone protect Hyena? Unless Hyena is lying about which role they received, which is definitely possible since I have a bet which player they are, they got protected by someone. And I am curious who would even be willing to protect Hyena. Assuming Hyena is Spiked, do we think they are actually a Mistborn? Or are they a Thug? Do we think they have a Soother companion who could cover for the vote that should be missing today?
  2. I was just trying to get people to vote for someone that would not waste their vote. If I wanted people to vote for Falcon, in an attempt to close the gap enough for a Soother to save Gorilla, why would I even mention that the people I was tagging could also vote for Gorilla if they pleased?
  3. Do you have a reason for voting for me? I cannot remember if you have previously stated suspicion of me, at least not any time recently. Here is the current vote count Turquoise Gorilla (6): Coral Swan, Onyx Flamingo, Salmon Meerkat, Fuschia Ostrich, Quartz Zebra, Magenta Albatross Emerald Falcon (4): Pearl Chameleon, Plum Rhinoceros, Oxblood Beagle, Amber Vulture Pearl Chameleon (2): Violet Axolotl, Emerald Falcon, Oxblood Beagle (1): Chartreuse Penguin, Fuschia Ostrich (1): Mint Heron, Onyx Flamingo (1): Amethyst Scorpion Quartz Zebra (1): Charcoal Hyena @Chartreuse Penguin @Mint Heron @Amethyst Scorpion @Charcoal Hyena Would any of you be willing to move your vote to a target that would be more likely to die to your vote? So, either Falcon or Gorilla. Obviously, I think Falcon is the superior choice, but I would understand if you voted Gorilla in an attempt to thwart any potential last minute vote shenanigans.
  4. I was waiting for someone to post so that I could post my reads list. I have been working a long time on trying to figure out how I feel about certain players, and I think I have finally reached a point where I am confident in my reads on each player to make a decision on them. For now, at least. There are still a few neutral players, however. I am not going to leave anyone at a true neutral at this point, as I do think I can give neutral+ or neutral- reads to players at this point. Here is a color code for the player names if you do not want to take the time to read through the individual analysis for each player: Village+ Village- Neutral+ Neutral- Spiked- Spiked+ Amber Vulture: The only reason I am not giving Vulture a full village read is that I do think it would be within this player's capabilities to fake the amount of effort he has put in so far, even as a Spiked. Assuming I am right about the player I believe him to be, it does feel more likely to me that he is village. His analysis feels genuine, and even if I disagree with some of it (of the parts of his long posts I have actually read through), I can see where he is coming from. In addition, our brief PM conversation at one point felt very genuine to me. This is definitely a player to revisit if things go South for us and we have still not found any Spiked, however. Amethyst Scorpion: I am fairly certain I have a good ID guess for this player. Either that, or they are doing a good job of making it difficult for players to glean gut information from them. I do think that, if they are a certain player, the timing of their votes and how they post them is something to be worried about. I do not think they have done anything explicitly suspicious so far though, so I do not think I can rank them any lower. But I do have them on my radar, for many reasons. Azure Mouse: This player has posted a somewhat decent amount, yet has left no impression on me so far. That is a dangerous place to be, so that is why I have given them the Neutral- ranking. This will become an Spiked- ranking if this keeps up. As this is an easy way for a Spiked player to avoid suspicion. Charcoal Hyena: I have appreciated their reads, and I agree (as much as I can) with Meerkat that those PMs look relatively good for them. I think they are trying to solve the game. At the same time, they have not done much to stand out in either way amongst the crowd. At least to me. So they will stay in the Neutral+ rank for now. Their most recent post cements my view of them They seem like they are genuinely trying to solve the game. I am eager to see where they place their vote. Chartreuse Penguin: I would find it very difficult to believe that this player is not village. Our interactions in PMs have felt like they are genuinely trying to solve the game, as have their posts in the thread. Maybe it is simply the voice they use in their posts, but I cannot imagine a Spiked acting the way they do or talking the way they do. It feels too casual, too at ease with everything that is happening in the game. Though, maybe that is because we are so off base that they can afford to be casual? I would sure hope not, and I think that is a ridiculous idea. So they are staying in my Village+ category. Also, their insistence on trying to puzzle out the reasoning for the Octopus kill (on the Spiked end) is another village point in my book. Coral Swan: I have gone back and forth on Swan. I mistrusted them for awhile at the start of this game. And then I had some interesting conversations with them that made me look more positively on them. And now I am once again back to being confused by them and not necessarily agreeing with what they are saying. I think, as of right now, it is a bit more likely that they are village than Spiked. I will be looking back at them again if we do not find more Spiked soon. As I think that where Swan has been sitting in the votes and the way they are leading the conversation is a decent place to be as a Spiked. At the same time, Meerkat is right that their reaction to the whole Spiked Meerkat fiasco would have been hard to fake as a Spiked. We will see. Emerald Falcon: Something about the way they have been posting all game has made me really distrust them. The strange interactions with players they thought they had PM'd. The claims of knowing a Coinshot. The weird requests for information. It all just seems too fishy to me. They are probably my highest suspect, as of right now. And their latest posts just seem too...flippant. I do not know the best word to describe how it feels to me, beyond that. Fuchsia Ostrich: The only thing keeping me from placing Ostrich in the Neutral+ category is that the way they went about being paranoid about Meerkat feels very off to me. Besides that, I cannot remember anything significant that they have done. Even after skimming and rereading parts of the threads. Ivory Dragonfly: I have decided to leave one neutral read here because this player has been replaced and hasn't really had a chance to do much. Magenta Albatross: Albatross has felt off to me ever since their survival. And then, when I went back through and did a reread of the thread (until I grew too tired to continue, but I had seen enough), their very first post just gave me the most Spiked impressions I have gotten from a single post in this game. I still am hung up on how much it seems like they were appearing to try to look like a new player. Maybe I am simply seeing shadows where there are none, but I do think their survival and overall behavior is suspicious. Melon Dingo: Dingo has posted a fair amount, though I could not tell you much of what they have said. They do seem to be trying to contribute to the game, but at the same time not saying much. Which is a good place to hide for a more quiet Spiked player. I would want to look here more closely after we have gone through my Spiked- and Spiked+ reads. Mint Heron: This is solely because of their vote on Meerkat after everyone else had decided that Meerkat was clearly a villager. Unless this was a very bold choice by a Spiked to try and make them look incompetent or at least confused, I think this is a villager who was a little overzealous in trying to take every possibility into account. The fact that I think it would be possible for a Spiked to consider doing this is the only reason I have not put them into my Village+ category. Onyx Flamingo: I know many players have suspected Flamingo for their involvement in certain exes and the fact that they were an exe candidate who did not end up getting exed. However, my PM interactions with them and the overall tone of their posts makes me believe that they are a confused villager, struggling to figure out who to trust and who to suspect. I can definitely relate to their struggles to keep track of who is who. This post alone has been quite the undertaking. Obviously, certain players could try and pull off faking this confusion and be successful, so I am not giving them a Village+ ranking. But I find the likelihood of this being faked quite low. Oxblood Beagle: I think this player is genuinely trying to solve the game. Their reads list, while a bit minimalist, are definitely helpful at seeing what they are seeing in other players. Could their voting be a little more robust? Yes, perhaps. But overall, I am leaning village on this player for their level of effort. To me, they seem like they are genuine, even if I may not agree with all of their reads. Plum Rhinoceros: I am giving this player, who has not posted much or said much of substance, the benefit of the doubt for real life reasons. I am hopeful that @Plum Rhinoceros has had the time to get acquainted with the thread and the current arguments for each player's exe enough to make a decision on who to vote for. Quartz Zebra: This player has been keeping up with the thread. That much is obvious. Yet they have said very little, if anything at all really. They have hopped onto an easy train to hop onto just now, and they did not even give a real reason for doing so. It seems like such an obvious place to hide as a Spiked. The fact it seems so obvious is the only thing keeping me from putting them in my Spiked+ category. I could see a Spiked doing this on purpose or being afraid of doing this. We will see what happens with this player. Salmon Meerkat: Either this player is pulling one of the greatest Spiked gambits in history somehow, or he really is simply a villager. I think it is far more likely that he is a villager, as many of us have discussed so far. The effort he is putting into trying to solve the game, the way that most of the evidence lines up way too neatly for him to be attempting to fake it, it all just seems pretty good to me. Plus the fact that we have not had any refutations from players he has claimed to be PMing with about his plan, before he revealed it in thread. Sapphire Elephant: I think it is likely that we have multiple Spiked in the category of players that are simply hiding or not posting much. And all Elephant has done is make one post about how they were around, conveniently shortly before they might have been killed to the filter, and then they have not shown up since. At the same time, I am not going to condemn a player for their lack of doing things. So I will focus on players who have done things for my Spiked reads for now. Such as Albatross or Falcon. Turquoise Gorilla: I have honestly had a hard time coming up with opinions for this player. They have simultaneously posted a decent amount while also not gaining traction in my head. Which does make me look a bit more negatively on them. But I do not think we should condemn a player for being a train candidate, which seems like one of the biggest reasons for voting Gorilla to me. Violet Axolotl: I remember very little of what this player has said, but I do remember liking how sincere they felt when we were having that D1 discussion over differences of opinion on how to use votes. It did not feel like a Spiked trying to go after me for a difference of opinion, but a villager who was genuinely confused by how I viewed votes. And that view goes both ways, which is why I am unwilling to place them any higher. And I think I can understand their suspicion on myself, even if I clearly disagree. Finishing this, I think I have too few players in my Spiked categories, but that is okay. I will take closer looks at the players in the Neutral and Village categories after the results of this exe and the kills in N3. If I am still alive by then. I am still fine with my vote on Falcon, for now. In addition, here is the current vote count: Turquoise Gorilla (5): Coral Swan, Onyx Flamingo, Salmon Meerkat, Fuchsia Ostrich, Quartz Zebra, Emerald Falcon (3): Pearl Chameleon, Plum Rhinoceros, Oxblood Beagle Oxblood Beagle (2): Chartreuse Penguin, Emerald Falcon, Fuchsia Ostrich (1): Mint Heron, Pearl Chameleon (1): Violet Axolotl, Onyx Flamingo (1): Amethyst Scorpion, This post took me far longer than I thought it would.
  5. can someone give me an explanation of why gorilla? i think i have confused myself reading the thread working on a reads list will post later
  6. I think I am going to place a vote on Emerald Falcon. My growing suspicion of their claim to be in touch with a Seeker, the weirdness about them claiming to have PM'd people then backtracking, their insistence on things being weird with all of this Meerkat mess. All of it just does not seem like the actions of a villager to me. I can understand the suspicion on Gorilla a bit, though I am still struggling to get a grip on how I feel about them. I do not understand the suspicion of Beagle. It seems, to me, to be a reaction to them being cautious of the Tineye message, correct? Personally, I do not think their reaction was unwarranted, especially since it turns out that Meerkat was simply playing us all along. I believe that we all got up in the confusion of what was happening, that no one thought to question where this intel from a Tineye was coming from. For all we knew, it could have come from an elim Tineye trying to frame someone. I would be fine with exing any of Emerald Falcon, Magenta Albatross (who I have had a growing suspicion of for awhile as well), or Turquoise Gorilla. My preference for exing those players today is in that order. And that is simply of the players that seem likely to be exed today. Here is the current vote count: Salmon Meerkat (4): Magenta Albatross, Fuchsia Ostrich, Melon Dingo, Ivory Dragonfly, Emerald Falcon (3): Salmon Meerkat, Amethyst Scorpion, Pearl Chameleon Turquoise Gorilla (2): Coral Swan, Onyx Flamingo, Oxblood Beagle (2): Chartreuse Penguin, Emerald Falcon,
  7. Well, that is not at all how I was expecting this day to go. I was a little confused how this had happened, though Swan can attest to the fact that it was mostly due to confusion over how they had gotten Salmon Meerkat to freak out. I am going to go read through the entire thread again to make sense of my thoughts once more. Wish me luck, friends.
  8. I...am very confused, to put things simply. But it appears we have a player open-wolfing? And it is Salmon Meerkat, of all people? I am incredibly surprised. Just to be sure, could someone walk me through the process of how we reached this point, one more time? Also, unrelated, but it is interesting that the Coinshot and the Spiked both went for the same player.
  9. Saffron Iguana (5): Pearl Chameleon, Charcoal Hyena, Onyx Flamingo, Salmon Meerkat, Azure Mouse Scarlet Octopus (4): Chartreuse Penguin, Saffron Iguana, Oxblood Beagle, Coral Swan Onyx Flamingo (2): Mint Heron, Fuchsia Ostrich, Magenta Albatross (2): Amber Vulture, Emerald Falcon Pearl Chameleon (1): Violet Axolotl Turquoise Gorilla (1): Amethyst Scorpion Amethyst Scorpion (1): Turquoise Gorilla Here is the current vote count. Iguana is almost certainly going to Soothe a vote off of himself as well. I think I am comfortable leaving my vote where it is, as I do not really want Octopus to die for reasons I do not think are valid after the error Meerkat made was pointed out. I guess we shall see who is the luckiest of the two.
  10. Saffron Iguana (4): Pearl Chameleon, Charcoal Hyena, Onyx Flamingo, Salmon Meerkat Onyx Flamingo (3): Mint Heron, Fuchsia Ostrich, Coral Swan Magenta Albatross (3): Amber Vulture, Turquoise Gorilla, Emerald Falcon Scarlet Octopus (3): Chartreuse Penguin, Saffron Iguana, Oxblood Beagle Pearl Chameleon (1): Violet Axolotl Turquoise Gorilla (1): Amethyst Scorpion Amethyst Scorpion (1): Turquoise Gorilla Well, this is certainly interesting. We have just under half an hour left, and Iguana has claimed to be a Soother. Discounting any other vote manipulation, we can assume Iguana will Soothe a vote off of themselves. This will make it a 4 way tie between Iguana, Flamingo, Albatross, and Octopus. If no one else moves their votes, that tie will almost certainly happen. I will move my vote to secure an exe if I absolutely have to. Probably to Albatross, as my suspicions of Octopus were dependent upon some faulty analysis from Meerkat.
  11. I am a little conflicted. I know I distrust Iguana. I have started to distrust Albatross, just from talking myself into not liking their public reaction to their survival. And I am tempted to create a three way tie with three hours left to see what happens. At the same time, that would put Flamingo, a player I have very few opinions on, in danger. I do not understand the opinion that they have been suspicious, even after reading the explanations multiple times. Plus their latest post reads as genuine to me. I am not going to create the tie, as tempting as it may be. Here is the current vote count: Saffron Iguana (4): Emerald Falcon, Pearl Chameleon, Charcoal Hyena, Oxblood Beagle Onyx Flamingo (3): Mint Heron, Fuchsia Ostrich, Coral Swan Magenta Albatross (2): Amber Vulture, Turquoise Gorilla Pearl Chameleon (2): Saffron Iguana, Violent Axolotl Emerald Falcon (1): Magenta Albatross Scarlet Octopus (1): Coral Swan
  12. I cannot even remember much of how Flamingo has voted, besides, I believe, an odd vote for Axolotl at one point, yes? That does not feel like enough, for myself at least, to condemn someone over. And I have seen your posts about Albatross. I have also went and read back over their initial reaction to seeing which kill had hit them and which had hit Lion. That initial reaction especially feels very forced to me, having reread it. Though I might be looking for shadows where there are none. I also think that Iguana is a much safer choice for an exe, as I have not liked their reads and tone for most of the game so far. Plus their heckling without consistent voting to back it up is an easy thing to hide behind.
  13. can you explain the flamingo votes?? also why you trust alb? i have them in a big other pile in my reads list, tho half the time i'm tempted to toss them in my elim pile
  14. i didn't have a category for somewhere between null and mild elim or, well, i didn't want to make that category just for you if that makes sense but it's because i can't decide if your attempts at analysis are really villager-y like i thought, or if all of this business with a coinshot is to try and get you villager-y points, which would make me trust you less. so my real read of you would probably more something like a null-, which is an average of many different things does that make sense?
  15. I really think Falcon should have left this supposed Coinshot claim to themselves. Like Iguana said, you have now provided the elims enough information for them to narrow their search down even more for who the Coinshot is. Assuming you are telling the truth and that your Coinshot claimer is also telling the truth. I would ask for a reasoning from them for why they attacked Albatross, but at this point that would reveal too much about who they might be. Anyway, I wanted to do my own quick version of a reads list, just going off the top of my head. Feel free to ask me questions about why certain players are in certain categories if you are confused. Also keep in mind the players in each category are not in any particular order. Village: Chartreuse Penguin, Salmon Meerkat, Mild Village: Amber Vulture, Charcoal Hyena, Onyx Flamingo, Scarlet Octopous, Null: Coral Swan (almost to mild village, however), Fuschia Ostrich, Melon Dingo, Mint Heron, Oxblood Beagle, Plum Rhinoceros, Sapphire Elephant, Sunburst Toucan, Mild Elim: Amethyst Scorpion, Azure Mouse, Emerald Falcon, Ivory Dragonfly, Quartz Zebra, Turquoise Gorilla, Violet Axolotl Elim: Saffron Iguana Other: Magenta Albatross. I cannot even put them in Null because I have so many conflicting thoughts about them, but they do not simply cancel each other out. On the one hand, they have given me relatively good vibes in our PM together. On the other hand, there is the bit with them seeming to pretend to be a new player. On the other, other hand, their latest post explaining things does make sense to me. A decision about my opinions on this player will come later, once I have thought more about them. I am also not certain of all of my reads on the elim side, and highly doubt there are 7+ elims, unless the elim team has been balanced a bit weaker. Which can always backfire, when it comes to making balanced distributions. I think I am going to place my vote on Saffron Iguana, for now, because they are the only player I was able to convince myself to actually put in the full elim pile. I would also like to know why Iguana has not responded in our PM either.
  16. You most likely would have been told by the GMs if your extra life had been used up when you were attacked and survived, if you are truly a Thug. At least, I believe that is how this would work. If you were protected by a Lurcher, I do not think your extra life would have been used up, and you should have been told that too.
  17. So, I have recently realized that I have not posted this turn. For some reason, I was under the impression I had. I do not have much to add beyond what others have already stated. I think the most likely scenarios for our vote manipulation are 2 Soothers or a Rioter who was voting on one of the players who lost a vote and moved the vote they Rioted onto the other player they were voting. It seems like a simple enough interaction for someone to figure out through discussing things in their GM PM, which it seems likely happened considering we had many clarifications come from them. I am displeased by Crocodile's death as I was coming to trust them. Partially because I liked their reads list and partially because they were interesting to talk to in PMs. Hopefully we meet again in another game, Crocodile. As for who I suspect, I still suspect Iguana, and am not a fan of the fact that vote manipulation saved them. Same for the vote manipulation saving Gorilla, though I still am confused where the suspicion on them comes from. I am having a hard time distinguishing the voices/posts of players who are not myself, Swan, Iguana, Octopus, Meerkat, Falcon, or Vulture. I am continuing to grow uncertain of my distrust of Swan, though I do not think I will ever get rid of those initial feelings of distrust. They are at best a neutral to neutral+ player for me.
