I think, if it happens, it's much, much more likely to happen to someone who isn't far advanced in either Order. The various Order's Oaths conflict - the more you swear, the more difficult it's going to be to abide by them all.

I think that Wax's compassion (e.g. his sparing of Wayne) would make him a better fit for the Windrunners than the Skybreakers.

I think she would need to do some work to hack her ability to fuel Allomancy. As other people have pointed out, Lift can metabolize food directly into Stormlight. But Stormlight doesn't power Allomancy - Allomancy is powered directly by Preservation's Investiture filtered through specific metals. I think she could hack it so that she could power her Allomancy from Stormlight instead of Preservation, but she'd still need the correct metals, so it wouldn't be very useful.

Yes, it's definitely a difference between a living and dead spren for the Blade. When Adolin kills Sadeas in a knife-grappling fight on the ground, he reflects that even with both of them having Shardblades neither of them had summoned one, as the size of them made them "less good than a rock in such a close-quarters fight". Yet in Oathbringer, Kaladin summons Syl as a Shardknife to stab a flying Fused in the sky while holding onto it while protecting the Wall Guard in Kholinar, in a very similar combat scenario. I don't think these address the original question (whether you can summon Blades inside of something). Neither Adolin nor Sadeas summed their Blade because giant swords are really unwieldy in a close quarters fight. And when Kaladin summoned Syl to kill the Fused, he summoned her to the side before stabbing.

This is not how the Oathpact works. The Oathpact is still in force even when all the Heralds are on Roshar (i.e. during Desolations). Fused killed are returned to Braize and are not allowed to leave. Following the Desolation, there's a time limit on how long the Heralds before they have to go back to Braize, or they would trigger a new Desolation. So it's not that at least one Herald has to be on Braize to trap the Fused - it's that at least one Herald has to return to Braize following the Desolation. The Everstorm, however, allows the Fused to bypass the Oathpact restriction, and be reborn immediately. Therefore the Oathpact (which is likely still in place), is completely useless - at least as long as the Everstorm exists.

Didn't Taln return at the end of Way of Kings? The Everstorm was summoned at the end of Words of Radiance.

Jasnah's plan to kill the Heralds is stupid. It wouldn't accomplish anything. The Oathpact prevented the Fused from returning when killed, but the Everstorm allows them to bypass that restriction.

Yet a spren caught in a gemstone is required for "modern*" fabrial science, for the fabrial to actually do anything. I think there's a very good chance a painspren is required for a painrial to cause and reduce pain. The point I was trying to make, though, is that there have been hints that everyday spren such as flamespren and the like can evoke an effect on the Physical Realm under the right circumstances, presumably via bonding combined with a source of Investiture. Just look at the entire Singer race, skyeels and greatshells for proof of that. The Singers generally can't transform into everyday forms without bonding a spren or the Unmade getting involved. And so, based on those hints, I think it stands to reason that Sja-anat touching and controlling a lesser spren could very well allow her to generate those effects. Her touch for a fact creates a bond of sorts (or else she couldn't control spren she touches) and an Unmade certainly qualifies as a source of Investiture, so I don't think it's farfetched to say Sja-anat can Do Things(tm) with lesser spren besides spy with them. Man, I need to read posts a little bit closer. I agree that spren bonds can grant abilities and effects on Roshar (like they can elsewhere in the Cosmere). And that Sja-Anat can directly control some spren, with the caveats that that may not be the same kind of bond (e.g. between a person/animal and a Splinter) and that she doesn't do it that often (we've only seen it twice, I think). I think that if she was able to cause a massive pain AoE, then she would have displayed it before, at Kholinar or somewhere. Or used flamespren to burn all of Urithiru. Or something else stupidly powerful.

I think that's a pretty vague description. She even ends it with "I think?". I agree with the larger point, that Radiant spren are not promoted from lower-level spren, but I think that their exact method of creation is a lot more complicated than "go to a Shardpool and ladle out some Investiture and poof ... you have a baby spren."

@Pathfinder good point about spren not always being visible. I was misinterpreting your previous argument to mean that spren were transitioning between the Realms. However, we have seen cases of spren being draw to a location, not just appearing (Dalinar's realm-merging). As far as whether the spren are the cause or effect, I think it's pretty clear (even if they don't understand in-world). Are captivityspren the ones that put you in jail? Do alespren make you drunk? Are you able to create fire if there aren't any flamespren nearby? Are you able to be be happy, logical, embarrassed, or find something funny without the proper spren being nearby? Do musical instruments not work if there aren't any musicspren?

Where in the books does it talk about spren making a journey to a "massive source of Investiture" and making a new spren out of it?

We have no indication that spren are able to cause the thing they're named for. Painspren are attracted by pain, they don't cause it. I don't remember the books ever talking about (non-Radiant) spren transitioning between the Realms, just that different ones are more or less present in the Physical vs Cognitive. For example, fearspren are just blobs of purple in the Physical Realm, but it's revealed in Oathbringer that those are just the tips of their antennae, and they're much larger in Shadesmar. However, fearspren always appear the same, so they're not transitioning between the Realms. Windspren are very rare to see in the Cognitive Realm because they're like 99% in Physical Realm. If there was a bundle of them that followed Kaladin around wherever he went, then they wouldn't be rare to see in Shadesmar.

The question is, was the Stormfather always made from mostly Honor's Investiture, or did Honor steal it from someone else?

I mean, the stronger restrictions on sand mastery are that it only works on sand and that you need to recharge the sand between uses. So it's not like there are no limits at all, even with slatrification. And, as far as my earlier point about it not meshing with the rest of sand master, here's a quote directly from Kenton:
