I think we're soon to see a conflict of interests between her personalities, specifically regarding murder in cold blood. It's not Radiant's first choice, but it seems like she'll allow it. Veil claims it is to support Shallan, but I don't think chapter 6 gave any word on Shallan's actual thoughts. She has killed before, but once (that I can think of) not in sudden self defense but with deliberate forethought: her father, which obviously traumatized her. I can't help but think that event and memories are suddenly going to crash down and cause....literal internal strife.

Thinking Ialai's covered hutch has an aviar? And wow, Shallan (well, Veil?) as a cold blooded assassin is scary. Kinda awesome (I love a good rogue), but scary. Navani said they can visit Shadesmar using the Oathgates! Whaaaaaa.... I mean they did it in OB, but it was by accident....maybe Sja-anat is helping them? Kaladin and Leshwi almost remind me of windspren. Like, this should be a dangerous battle (and is on the ground), but in the air they're kinda.....just having fun?

I think Brandon must like leaving us with all these little mysteries to uncover, like sanding slowly blowing off a dino fossil. Jasnah and Hoid's traveling conversation at the end/after WoR always drives me crazy. All we (presumably) know is that he drew portraits of the Heralds for her, and that wasn't discovered until halfway through Oathbringer. We don't even know enough to know what we've missed and I love it.

Aces tend to be a fringe among the fringe groups, unfortunately. I think they're generally one of the least understood labels. I was annoyed that it sort of got dropped from the acronym (although tbh, it was getting to be a lot of letters).

Whoa, that's a lot of added info!! I want Urithiru to be an enormous greatshell, with the city section as it's back. And it wakes up and takes a walk. Adolin is a surprising choice to go back to Shadesmar. He felt powerless and couldn't use his Shardblade. Unless Maya recovers?!?! Maybe she's the envoy? (Although he still couldn't use her as a Blade, so probably not). (I'd forgotten how hyped I get about baseless speculations XD)

I hadn't realized they were uploading chapters already...randomly checked Brandon's twitter while brushing my teeth and actually gasped and spilled spit-paste all over myself. Random thoughts! Interesting....thinking there are some personality similarities or overlaps between the KR orders and the Void orders... Shallan's situation is getting even more confusing.... Like....is it good or bad? And I guess that's the point, that we're suppose to be a bit wary. Is this step before or after the spren has entered the gemstone? If the spren is outside, I wonder if some sort of vacuum occurs and that's what draws it in. They really should've name that flying barge "Navani's Ark". *perks up at using aluminum* Not going to lie, Navani in full science scholar mode is bit rough to read. Ooooooo more music / rhythm connections? I swear frequency and sound is going to end up having a major role on Roshar.

I think I'd have to travel a lot first to decide.....then decided out of everywhere I'd been, which had the best life style, the people, the weather, views, food.....so much to consider... I think I'd be alright doing the wandering gig, settling a month or 2 in a city then moving on.

Will definitely check it out in VR, thanks. Oh man they could do some cool things. I love VR. Nalthis would be fun. Getting access to Breath for the first time could change the graphic saturation and music depth and using it would lessen the visuals. Awakening objects with different voice commands and using them to solve puzzles.

Oathbringer came out in mid Nov and had weekly chapters online starting in....what, like end of Aug-early Sept? So not a tooootal stretch to hope we could get some chapters in July maybe? 1-2 a week instead of 3 a week? Although hopefully by then life is a little less crazy in general. Guess it really comes down to what the editors say. And how much those early chapters reflect or may cause changes in later stuff. I'm assuming that a decent chunk of time before the release is for actual printing, packaging, shipping, etc. But if it's digital......

Gah, Rimworld's been on my Steam wishlist for ages. I keep hoping it will go on sale, and then I think I end up getting something else instead. Guess I'll have to grab it up next time.

We're rolling out online learning starting Monday. I've spent the week taking videos of myself teaching (which is super bizarre, I've never done any videos of myself before). I'm feeling pretty good about the actual content. But I know at least two students don't have internet access. And based on the weather forecast, a lot of ppl may not have power Monday.

Has Brandon ever been asked/answered if Cultivation's name has appeared in a book, unknown to us? Then we'd at least know if it was some obscure thing that has been mentioned.

Looking for something that I can multitask play while knitting, organizing, "working", etc. Something that doesn't require a lot of attention and you can be AFK if needed. Years ago it was idle skiling in Runescape. More recently it was Eternal Card, which is MtG ish (I usually played the AI). Any recommendations?
