Considering the first paragraph of the page on Shards, I doubt it's that useful: "The Shards of Adonalsium, or Shards for short, are pieces of the power of creation itself.[2] They are named after a specific action or ideal, often referred to as an "intent," which represents the Shard's primary purpose or motivation. A mind must control a Shard. When a person holds a Shard, they are imbued with its power, but they also become the Shard.[3] A person who has taken up the power of a Shard is the Vessel of that Shard.[4]"

Does it still count?

Last I checked Marsh didn't murder people without reason... And last I checked Harmony was the current Shard on Scadrial, so don't need to worry about him forcing Marsh to either. Edit, let's add some roleplay: "Same fate?" Esha asked. "I mean, you can try stabbing me, of course."

At some point we'll know, that I don't doubt. When... That's another question. I personally like my theory of it healing though.

An infinite amount of universes does not mean each universe exists. Sounds weird? Imagine this. There is an infinite amount of integers (whole numbers), but there are numbers that are not integers. For example, 1.5.

I agree for the most part, but there's one thing. Didn't the listeners abandon their gods directly, strongly implying they did so before Aharietam, when the Fused were still around?

Esha steps up to Marsh. "Good morning," she says. "How are you doing?"

A good Tautologist who is a member of the Tautologist club writes tautologies by constructing them in two different ways that say the same thing with different words and repeat what they said in a new way.

That's not correct English...

[OB] Fundamental Surges Part II: The Shards
Leyrann replied to Leyrann's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yup! I've indeed done some work on fitting the metals on the same pattern as the Shards, but I've never really pulled through and finished it up. Maybe I'll do so this summer now that university is (almost) over. My current expectation, though I need to work it out still, is that each grouping of 5 Surges from the original ordering has a related metal, where pairs of metals share their Cognitive/Hybrid surges, and the Enhancement metals (aluminium etc) are instead a separate group added by Preservation (the deviation from the pattern). As I said though, I haven't worked it out yet. My goal is to try to map the combinations of Surges with Allomancy and then see if it fits with Feruchemy as well, which would be an argument in favor of the theory. -
According to Brandon they have evolved to be this way. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/126-ad-astra-2017/#e1862

Fair enough, let's not derail the thread with another Odium vs Passion debate. I'm gonna make a post about it sometime so I can gather my thoughts first.
-
I can't find it, but there's a WoB somewhere saying we'll get scenes on Braize in Stormlight Archive. Or feel, if he's right about Passion.
-
I've wondered... Do you have a list of your spikes somewhere?
-
*reads fortune* *blinks* *reads fortune again* *draws in stormlight* *pulls out spike, healing the wound with stormlight* I'd prefer a cookie from a certified TUBA member, thanks.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Leyrann replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Watching a League of Legends YouTube video, there's two people in this game who are called Lifeless and Azûre, who are part of the same Club and therefore likely premade. What's the chance, you guys think? -
Can I have a cookie too?
-
TUBA and DA, let us unite to end this heresy!
-
I will always remember and keep it in mind.
-
What if it just heals, the same way stormlight does? After all, that would very much Preserve the body.
-
An important thing to remember in the GoT vs Brandon's stuff comparision is that GRRM originally wrote aSoIaF as a screenplay but no one was willing to adapt it, so he decided to write it as books instead.

Not other galaxies (except possibly something like the Andromeda system and the Magellan Clouds), but assuming the star cluster is part of a bigger galaxy (which one would expect, really) a milky way-like structure should be visible. If the cluster really is by itself, and is not part of something bigger (which it could be considering Brandon first wanted it to be a dwarf galaxy), then no visible stars should be outside of it. Also, telescopes should have no trouble spotting other galaxies, even those equivalent to 17th or 18th century earth. Of course, there is the thing that we on earth at least thought there was only one galaxy until the 1920s; only then did we realize some of those clouds (Andromeda was the first one) were actually galaxies themselves.

Well in that one Brandon says (I'm too lazy to look up WoBs that aren't in this thread btw, hence me referring to the one you posted twice in a row) "I have not revealed what lerasium does if you already have Investiture", so perhaps it only has the effect if you are already an allomancer/mistborn, which would explain why Elend wouldn't have a noticable effect. Alternatively, maybe Elend just didn't know he could use it, and we haven't seen Lerasium apart from this. It's not much, but hey, who knows?

It will only get worse.
