Wish I had read more during my childhood. I mean, I read a lot since I was little but back then it was only science books, and not even the complex useful ones but the ones with lots of pictures. So I guess back then my passion was to collect useless facts? I've been a Harry Potter fan since I was like 3 years old though (when the first movie came out) so when my grandfather took me to the library in fourth grade I had the oportunity to read the Goblet of Fire (can't remember why I started there) and then my fate was sealed. After that I spent the rest of my childhood with some of the other Harry Potter books. I had trouble having any interest in anything else, until I tried a bit of Verne (Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Carpathian Castle) and read The Black Cat by Edgar Allan Poe I do wish I had started earlier though.

I like this perspective. Actually, after I saw the movie the first thing I thought was that Elsa and Anna were very similar now to Siri and Vivenna.

What do Sanderfans do when we are stuck at home?

Making terrible metaphors about the situation sounds a lot like all the memes you see everywhere regarding all of this. Which is nice because my phone and laptop are starting to drown in memes and I couldn't be happier about that. -
Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)
Eluvianii replied to Zurvanight's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I assume judging by the name that's the final boss theme? I know I've listened to it at some point but I'm avoiding music spoilers as I'm playing it right now (rather slowly but yeah). I'll be sure to check that out when I get to that point though. The thing with Falcom is that they make so many rearrangements of so many songs, not all of them can be perfect. It's kind of impressive they manage to get so much quality out when you think about it that way. -
Have you read The Neverending Story by Michael Ende? That book is so storming childish but every time I read it I find it a bit darker. Really, the protagonist has a real rollercoaster of an arc for an 11-year old. Also there's no romance, at least concerning the main characters. As for the plot, well, as I said it's pretty childish but I really love it. A kid finds a book which, the more he reads it, the more he's convinced it's real. Not sure if it's what you're looking for but I wouldn't miss the chance to recommend that book to anyone.

Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)
Eluvianii replied to Zurvanight's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I do still have some problems with some of the arrangements, for The Azure Arbitrator, the drums and guitar are awesome, but they come at the cost of the organ, which for me was the soul of the song, and then there's Fateful Confrontation, which, is probably better not to talk about... But as I said, listening to the themes in-game has changed my perspective a lot so who knows, maybe I'll even end up liking that one. And even if I don't, I can always switch soundtracks before certain battles. Btw, now that you say those things about Mystic Core, I think I won't give it a listen for now. One more thing to look forward to when CS4 finally comes (or when it doesn't and I learn Japanese to play it) -
Used to? Haven't played Ultimate.

Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)

Having nothing else I can actually do, I've been replaying FC lately, and I'm using the Evolution soundtrack mod. It's hard to find anything but backlash regarding the Evolution arrangements and I myself didn't like it a lot while browsing it at first, but now that I listen to it in-game, I think it's actually way better than the original most of the time. I just played the Madrigal of the White Magnolia part and the soundtrack was breathtaking. I hope everything continues just as pleasantly surprising. -
He did? Welp, I can always, just cross my fingers.

I'm gonna evade the sadness this theory gives me by nitpicking, so, how do you kill a spren?

Where I live the quarantine starts next monday. Even so, there's not a single case in the city but people already assaulted the supermarkets all the same. You know the story, our hand sanitizer and toilet paper reserves are incredibly low. I'm really curious (and kinda worried) about how this is going to affect people's jobs. I know some places will work normally but places like theaters and street food stands are bound to be affected.

Same. Right now I can't think of anyone besides Umbridge who I find easy to hate.

What are you playing right now?
Eluvianii replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Just starting. Though I don't play often so I think I'll stay at 'just starting' for a while. -
He's great though I tend to struggle a bit reading him (a lot during WoR). In WoK, I don't know what I would have done without Shallan's chapters to balance things out.

Hmmm shame. I mean, it's alright and it's good to know there are some moments like that, but I was thinking how fun it would be if you could just, play around in your mind, thinking about what would happen if you mixed certain elements in a certain way and stuff like that.

And so this glorious thread refuses to die. Brandon considered normal puzzles to be beneath his level, so he created the Diagram. Brandon has been to the moon. Also to the entire solar system. It wasn't interesting enough for him so he decided to create his own universe, hence, the Cosmere was born. The things we call personality and human nature are actually character development written by Brandon which was so good, it seeped into reality. The only reason other things written by him such as magic have not seeped into reality too is because Brandon knows humanity is not ready for that, so he prevents it. For now.

So, I know this series is known for its detailed magic system, I've even heard some things about how it could be a science of its own with how detailed it is. I'm about to finish The Shadow Rising and I still don't quite understand how it works. So my question is, do the books show more about channeling to the point of becoming a science later on or this is already happening and I'm just blind (which could be, so don't be afraid to tell me)?

Storms! The animations are so much better than CS1, they really had to learn from scratch, didn't they? -

For the love of Eidos, the memories, this is way more nostalgic than it should be. I remember meeting these four and thinking "No way these guys can fill Estelle and Joshua's shoes." Of course, at the time I didn't consider that Estelle and Joshua started just like them, and that there is a reason the name "The Legend of Heroes" still fits the series. I've pretty much accepted that, however inferior a cast in this series may seem, I'll be in love with it by the end of the arc. On a side note, I found an interesting glitch in my copy of FC. For some reason the minutes in the timer go up during second number 44. It's kinda fun. -
Where Do You Get Your Books for Cheap/Free?
Eluvianii replied to Snakenaps's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I just found out about this, https://www.ereaderiq.com/ I haven't used it much (literally discovered it today) but it lets you look for cheap or free books on kindle filtering by genre and stuff.
