But, from what they saw, the thing lifted uncontrollably. So yes, that is a detriment to their current objective but it would only take a little experimentation to find a way to make it stable and useful. If they can make small ships applying gravitation horizontally in small quantities they'd have a functional plane with little to no Stormlight consumption compared to the Fourth Bridge. We already know the Stormlight waste to be one of its flaws. Also, we got an entire PoV from her describing how much she hates lacking understanding about anything, so after she saw this either she has every reason on Roshar to be intrigued or she already understands lift but just doesn't see it as useful, but I would find that very odd. You already pointed out how useful it would be for the big ship.

Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)
Eluvianii replied to Zurvanight's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Wouldn't it be hilarious if they announce a Crossbell localization just when the Geofront version of Ao is finished? -

Don't worry mom. I left that principal in way worse shape. What's the worst thing to say when your little brother just got disowned?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, that's its own bane. you'll eventually hate it. I wish I could swim on the ground. -
As cool as it would be for Kal and Syl to go to Shadesmar, I would prefer if they stayed in Urithiru. It was mentioned somewhere weeks ago that Kaladin so far has only known of Shallan coping with years of suffering. He's jealous because he thinks it's a functional easy way out (if he only knew). Then we have people like Lirin, Hesina, Laral, his own Windrunners even, people from other orders, people who aren't even Knights. We know of several people in Hearthstone who have had to deal with a lot during the past few years but Kaladin hasn't really had time to talk or think about it because he had such a frenetic life, he just stopped briefly and left. Now they're all in Urithiru, there's also all the other people in the city who may have similar stories, and Kal just got stuck there. I think he will benefit of talking with other people who have suffered and survived and then think. He now has lots of time to just stop and think. Learn that there is more than one way to deal with these things and find his own, without always relying on fighting. Also, about the sphere with wings. Yeah, it is really strange that the Windrunners just dismissed it but I'm even more surprised about Navani dismissing it. She sees this really efficient way of making things fly and just goes "Welp, failure. Anyway, how's my flying table doing?"

Then I can only wish you good luck. I have a similar thing with my dad and my sister. They apparently like to fall asleep to a movie, but I can't, if there's a movie on I will just, hang in there until it ends, so it happens that my dad puts a movie at midnight and I'm there, two hours later still watching. I actually was scolded pretty often as a kid for not falling asleep when they put me a movie for that purpose. I guess he couldn't fathom the idea that it didn't work for everyone.

That's, a lot of siblings. Well, I can say one thing about adulthood. I was told all my childhood that as soon as I turned 18 I would spend the rest of my life missing being a kid. It's been 4 years since I turned 18 and so far that is false, there are things I miss but I wouldn't give up the freedom for anything. So basically, be happy, life gets better as it goes. Don't expect overprotection to ever go away though, the only thing that changes in that aspect is that you are now legally allowed to ignore it.

Ah school trips, they're always exciting. Last year there was this one kid who got trapped on quick sand with an Anaconda roaming around and *continues during the entire travel time* What's the worst thing to say when your 5-year-old self is home alone and just set a mattress on fire? (this actually happened to me)

I see it as doing something that requires actual effort vs something that doesn't. You're so focused in so many things at once when you play something difficult. I've always been somewhat skeptical about the idea of mental effort tiring you physically, but with this I'm willing to believe it.

What are you playing right now?
Eluvianii replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Always have a handheld at the ready. -
Waking up and seeing it's cloudy outside. The scent of rain. Rain in general. Listening to music in the bus. (seriously. I often take a bus that I know is gonna take more time than other I may have taken only so I can sit there longer, listening to music and looking through the window) That state of trance the first time you listen to a really good song. Letting everything you just saw set in after watching a movie and discussing it while the credits play. Chocolate.

Probably a common thing but I feel the need to ask. Have you noticed how when you're only messing around, maybe playing short, simple songs, you can do it for ages, but if you play a longer song, one you find difficult, at the end you're really tired? It's a strangely amazing feeling.

Not a bad idea. Definitely better than hijacking threads and it would bring some needed activity to the WoT subforum. I might do the same as soon as I get on with Fires of Heaven.

Where did you get your best beating? Pie flavor.

Thanks, I know as the professional TV watchers you are, you know what's best for me. What's the worst thing to say when you see someone having a seizure?
