  1. That was really impressive. I assume you've received special training? Please, do tell me where. If I had to describe that, I'd say it was like swallowing a pack of hungry wolves covered in tartar sauce.
  2. So I understand you lost the nuclear missile switch during the meeting. See, that's the funny thing about bunnies. You don't want to give them a chance to strike.
  3. Lewis looked up. There was something there. Anger led to confusion and then back to anger. What was going on? Was the man not crazy then? What was that thing? Did it really lead to another world? And most important of all, what would happen when it was done? "Listen, I don't really care what your hopes and dreams are, or if you move to another planet but I won't let you go away just like that, so you tell me how to stop this or I'll make sure you can't even move to the door." He was growing anxious. Were they really too late? He just had seen a group of men singing and dancing. Was that really all there was to this? Had they won? All those lives so this, thing, could appear? @Sorana
  4. Edwin walked in from the backyard. For a moment he missed those times, living in his little apartment, when he only needed to wash seven sets of clothes a week. Now it was closer to seven a day. And that only counting those that were still in good condition. His parents would only believe so many stories about how he managed to rip yet another shirt apart. He looked around. A few people were in the living room. James, Shana, Ben. They looked serious. He wondered why that could be and then remembered the battle from earlier. What else you genius? At that moment Edwin was grateful for his ability to just, let things pass. It wasn't like him to dwell over things too much but that had been really difficult as of late. Now though, he felt good. Fairly relaxed considering what the day had been. It seemed like menial chores were the way to relax in these kind of situations. Either way, everyone was tired from the battle before, it was understandable. Either that or yet another big thing had happened during the twenty minutes he had been gone but, what were the odds? Edwin slumped on a chair, feeling tired. He hadn't really rested since they came back from the other house, and now seemed a good time. Hope I'm not interrupting anything.
  5. We were promised (well, almost) that online classes would continue up to September 21th and then we would go back to presential. Well, now that classes have finally started, the teachers say they've been told to expect this to last the entire semester.
  6. Sir, you just got a message. I think it's a list of cats you can choose to adopt? Ah, that's a story I've waited a lifetime to tell. It all started when I got stranded in a gun shop for six months at age 5.
  7. Take your pick Bane is, the owner will get irrationally angry at you for taking his fez and kidnap you on a journey I wish the power to control where people are looking so I can make them look away when I walk by so they can't see me. (hey, I just created a useless superpower)
  8. I like that tradition. Mind if I adopt it? So, I just noticed (remembered?) that the first batch of quests Class VII gets mirrors some of the first quests Estelle and Joshua had as bracers. And the code for the road light mission also follows the same pattern as in FC, just with different numbers. These references are everywhere.
  9. Granted. (sorry. I had to make the reference) I wish for more free time during my day.
  10. Rysn. Bigger house vs bigger backyard?
  11. Granted. The next thread you post in will be the only one you can see from now on, that way you don't have to make the trip, but whatever you say in the one you choose is posted in both (all of them). I wish for a tiramisu.
  12. I can tell you that I am not an Epic whose weakness is to admit that he's an Epic. If you could have immortality, but as a perk you can choose when to end it and in doing so you simply start aging until you die naturally, would tou take it?
  13. The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure. What story has made you cry the most?
  14. I mean, it's obvious. If you have to choose between your life and a last plate of pancakes, you choose your life, right? I could answer your question. Oooor I could give you this completely unrelated and legal live unicorn and forget about it *wink**wink*
  15. I was thinking. Imagine if this book had another happy ending and it was book 5 that got the dark ending. And then we have to wait 6 years for a 15-year timeskip where everything is screwed up from the beginning.
  16. I didn't for a single second consider that Moash might be suggesting suicide to Kaladin and after reading this thread... I still don't. I don't know about you guys but to me it felt like he was describing his own experience to Kal. Giving away his pain, stepping into the void. He says he should stop existing, yeah, because he would be devoid of emotions, just like Kal saw in Moash's eyes. It's like not being there at all. That way everything is easier. Overall this scene felt like standard Odium recruitment mixed with Moash actually caring about Kaladin, in his own way. He knows Kaladin well, and he wants him to stop hurting, and what better way than this magic method he himself discovered a year ago? If it wasn't for Renarin, I'd say there's no way back for him, he opened a small door to his redemption, but I think it's unlikely he'll get an entire arc for that. Right now, as a villain, he's amazing. I think he just turned into one of my favorite characters. He'll probably turn back the moment he dies though, or he'll die taking a lethal blow for Kal in a decisive battle. And the atmosphere, Storms! the atmosphere. I know Brandon isn't one for deep prose but that scene was just so perfect. The house crumbling above. The faint glow of Stormlight disappearing completely as Kaladin falls apart. Moash talking calmly, slowly, emotionlessly. Syl desperately screaming in the background. It was amazing! On of the best scenes in the series so far imo. Also, Pattern, how I missed you, buddy. Shallan is in for a bumpy ride. We're seeing both Kaladin and Shallan will probably reach their lowest point this book, but Shallan has to cope with it while solving a world-changing mystery on her own. This is not gonna be nice. About Gaz, yeah, I think he just saw himself as a man with two eyes the whole time and jumped at the chance to get the missing one back. Lopen probably is so, I don't know, carefree? easygoing? volatile? that he had accepted having only one arm, but could just as easily accept that he could get it back once he discovered Stormlight. That man is just too good at accepting constant changes, while others like Kaladin would entirely reconstruct their view of themselves after one of them. Hence, why he sees the slave brand as a part of him. Ialai's secret compartment reminds me of puzzle-solving in horror games. Particularly Resident Evil. "What do you mean you have to know that guy's love for animals to open a door to the sewers?"
  17. You know murder cases have been increasing lately? Ah, it's really simple. You may think the secret is stealth or skill with a knife, but usually you just need to believe in yourself and carry a pinch of sugar.
  18. So you like dogs, or cats, or...? Yeah, but it would have been easier if they hadn't been shooting at me.
  19. Granted, but you have to gather the materials. Still, you don't have to perform the otherworldly magic needed to actually make it so be thankful. I wish for days to have 34 hours.
  20. What do you mean Dave isn't your real name?! What is it then?! Heh. And that's only 10% of the amount I can stuff in.
  21. Who was your first boss? I eat it both with a spoon and a fork, but sometimes I use a sword. It makes it more spicy.
  22. So, I take it you bathe on a daily basis? I mean, it was there so I took it. What's wrong with that?
  23. Granted. You feel great, incredibly great. So great in fact that everyone else's lives seem to pale in comparison. Such sad lives. Seeing everyone not feeling as great as you makes you feel incredibly sad by the end of the day. Don't worry though, you'll feel great again each morning so this process cycles. I wish for world peace.
  24. Found this apparently actual conversation on facebook
