Time for ultraviolence. Edwin swung the naginata horizontally, trying to keep Them away. They didn't offer much resistance, but didn't stop either. Keeping them at bay seemed like the only thing to do, anything more aggresive would probably end badly. Like you knew anything about fighting. He hoped they could keep that until their numbers depleted, surely there couldn't be an infinite number of them. Right?

Edwin looked at the people getting closer. They looked so real, so normal, their eyes were black but aside from that, he couldn't have spotted them in a crowd. Knowing this was an attack, that it had chosen normal people to hurt them. It was sickening. He wished Twinkle was there. Maybe if he...? He tried reaching for her, extended a hand in front of him, and there she was, standing on his palm. "What took you so long?" she said. He had to make an effort not to cry. "Sorry about..." No. No time for that, there were more pressing matters. He was going to be useful this time, enough of waiting. Enough of failing. "Would you...?" he looked at her pleadingly. "You know I can't do that." she answered. Well, no shardblade then. He tried the same as Flid and James. A weapon. A weapon. Suddenly he had a naginata on his hands. He grinned. "Must everything you do be related to videogames?" "Only half of it." he replied and prepared himself.

Edwin watched as everyone disappeared. Okay, that was something. He looked sideways trying to appear nonchalant and took a step forward to follow.

"So." Edwin said, looking at James. "You can bring us together but, how do we get out of here?"

Edwin just stood there, listening. Shadesmar? This wasn't real. He hadn't failed them. He looked behind, the bodies were still there but James' was now missing too. He remembered what had happened mere minutes ago. Shana was pretty upset too. If the others were going through the same... Maybe I didn't fail them but I will if I just let them go through... through that. "What you're trying to tell me, us, is that this fake, just like a dream? If that is the case, where are Ben and Rob and all the others? How can we find them, how can we know who else is trapped?" that was Shana. She sounded determined. "James, if the others are here we have to find them. I-I don't know how much I would have lasted without losing my mind. We can't let that happen." said Edwin, speaking finally.

A voice brought him back to the terrible reality. He turned, it was Shana. "Sh-Shana? But, you were..." He turned to the graveyard that was now the house. Shana's body was now missing. "You're alive?" The relief he felt brought him out of his shock and everything came crashing on him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... I don't know what happened... Everyone..." He stopped and took a deep breath. And without even knowing anymore if he had a right to be relieved he said. "I'm glad that you're okay."

Edwin had knew the marathon was a bad idea. He was congratulating himself for lasting as long as he was lasting when sleep came. . . . Edwin got back from school. He had taken a detour as always so he expected to find the house full but, when he entered, it was incredibly still. "Hello? Anyone home?" he shouted but no one answered. He started looking inside every room but they were all empty. When he went to the backyard. Doc was there, barely awake and covered in blood. "Doc! Doc, are you alright?!" he said as he rushed to his side. Doc looked up and coughed, a deep frown on his face. "What are you doing here? Do you think you still have the right after what just happened?" Edwin stared at him, trying to understand. "Wha-what are you talking about?" Doc spat blood to his side before continuing. "You didn't deserve to be a Radiant but we trusted you nonetheless. That was a grave mistake. Look what you've done to us." he gestured back towards the house. There, right on the door he saw a figure, lifelees on the ground. It was Tyler. His neck was twisted in a way it shouldn't be, his clothes in rags and covered in blood. "No." he said. "This can't be." He re-entered the house. He passed the kitchen, the living room, the training room. Shana, Flid, Ben. The stairs, the hall on the second floor, the main door. Cassie, Rob, Leona. They were gone. Everyone. Gone. He tried to reach Twinkle, he needed to talk to someone, to know there was someone left. But she didin't appear. "Twinkle? Twin, where are you?" She didn't come. He started to search around the house again, panicked, but she was nowhere to be found. Finally he went to his room, and there she was. "Twinkle!" he said, relief in his voice. "I'm so glad to find you. Something happened, something terrible. We have to... Twinkle?" She hadn't moved since he had entered the room, hadn't said one word. Could she still talk? His thoughts were interrupted when she finally reacted. A single pulse. Disappointment. "No. Please Twin, no! I..." He looked down. He was holding a sword. He was holding a weapon though he had never used one before. This one was all bloody. "What?" He looked up again. He was in front of the house now. It was in ruins, and everyone's corpses were scattered around the ground. Doc's voice resounded in his ears. You killed them. He started to scream.

The story and characters in Mistborn Era 1 are great. But the world is so empty it gets seriously boring.

Edwin eyed Doc. He had shown no reaction at all at what had just happened. "Umm, Doc?" he started. "Did you, know, by any chance? I mean, that Jason is..."

"Guys, he's still here. We'd better stop with all the new information before he faints."

I'm going to be honest. All my life I thought mental illnesses were virtually nonexistent. Not that they were a myth or anything, it's just that I thought you could go for a lifetime without meeting someone affected by one. I was proven wrong these last years since I've met some children with autism, but I had never imagined it could be like what I'm seeing on this thread. It's a shocking realization, to say the least. So, I don't know how to say this, this is a real eye-opener let's say. But as it's already been stated, we're all here to help, we come here to make friends after all. What kind of friends would we be if we turned a blind eye on this?

"What do you mean? Should we prepare to fight?" Edwin said as he got up and started looking in all directions.

"Oh you know, lots of chips, chocolates, one or two sodas. The usual. They were for a game I was going to finish tonight but one doesn't watch this every day. Short or long versions?"

Edwin got back to the house with a bag full of junk food from... Where had he bought it? He didn't remember, it was a place he'd never visited before. Maybe he had overdone it a bit with the walk. He knew the vicinity perfectly by now, it had to be pretty far if he hadn't recognized the store. No use thinking too much about it, he was here and it was Saturday, video games seemed like the perfect plan. As he made his way towards the stairs the noise from the living room caught his attention. Was that The Fellowship of the Ring? "Change of plans, Twin." he said and entered the living room, leaving the bag on the table at the center. It would serve the same purpose here.

Edwin got up headed to the front door. A lot had happened today, the most eventful day since he had started living there actually, and he wanted to take a walk to let it sink in. "There's so many new people, this is gonna be so much fun." said Twinkle, spinning in the air. "What is? The house? School? Be clear." he said, though joking. He was feeling the same. There had been bad things today, really bad but, everything was more or less settled and things were looking good, or should he say exciting?

Edwin walked over to where everyone was. Shana and Rob had both blacked out, and they were only sparring! They had gone too far. "Guys." he said slowly. "I think we need new rules for sparring, this... this is something that shouldn't ever happen."
