Edwin lifted his head at that. "Cohesion? Can I join you? I'm so bad at it I could laugh."

Edwin sat down as well. Not even half of them were here, but the food wouldn't go anywhere. "I've never danced, but I like the ambient. It really would be nice if we all could go."

"You can help with the meatballs or set up the table. I doubt we can gather everyone to eat together but it doesn't hurt to try."

"Oh, hey, Tyler. Uhh it's not ready yet. Maybe you could help us?" said Edwin, hoping to distract him from whatever was on his mind. He didn't look too good, to put it nicely.

"Sounds good." he turned to Leona. "The sauce would be great, thanks. That way we'll finish faster." he walked up to the fridge and started getting the ingredients for the meatballs.

"Yeah, I figured everyone might be getting hungry by now. And a bit of help would be great, thanks. It always surprises me how much food we need for this many people, and with three new Radiants in the house, well..."

"Pasta with meatballs if everything goes right." said Edwin entering the kitchen. Ruby was just getting there too. "Unless you two had something else in mind?"

After ruining another rail and sticking his hand into the wall twice (which gave him a bleeding nose he thanked Stormlight for fixing), Edwin decided it was enough. Some people had already left, Ben and Shana where nowhere to be seen and Cassie had gone outside with Doc in a hurry a while ago. That seemed worrisome but he figured if they didn't want them all to know, there had to be a reason. Also, he had other things to worry about right now. As soon as he had let go of the Stormlight, he felt hungry. Really hungry. How long had they been down there? He decided to go upstairs and if no one was already at it, make lunch for everyone. Yeah, there had been cake but not everyone had eaten and it probably wasn't a good idea to have sweets for breakfast and lunch. Thinking about this he made his way up the stairs, with the look on Doc's face still on the back of his mind.

Granted, they'll give you 100 pancakes if you can manage a perfect explanation about what the tenth pancake tastes like and somehow squeeze math into the explanation. Otherwise they'll take away your ability to taste pancakes (because I gave them the power to do that, of course). I wish the wind would blow me home so I don't have to pay for the bus (it's really windy today). -

Edwin grasped firmly a rail that ran along the wall as if his life depended on it. The chances that he might do something actually dangerous were really low (first ideals couldn't do much), but fear dominated him. He inhaled and focused on a single spot on the floor, not too big, just enough to make sure he could do it... He crashed on the floor. He sat up dizzily and looked up to realize that the rail had melted. "See? It happened again." When he tried to melt something he almost always succeeded, but it never was what he wanted to melt. "Just keep trying, you'll get it eventually." He wasn't so convinced.

When they entered the basement Edwin saw it wasn't empty. Shana and Ben were training with a dummy, though they didn't seem all that concentrated, it wasn't hard to figure what was going on there. Better to leave them alone. He thought with a smile. Instead he started looking around, he needed a place where he could get a good grip so he wouldn't kill himself by sinking on the ground if something went wrong.

Edwin followed, a nervous expression suddenly on his face. Maybe I should think before saying things like these.

"Mind if I join? I need to figure out how to use Cohesion without getting stuck. And Transportation for that matter." "Finally." said Twinkle.

"Well, almost all of us." Edwin was the odd one there.

"I'm Edwin." he said. "I'm fairly new too."

"Wait until a birthday. In times like that the norm is have cake for breakfast and dinner for a week."

Edwin looks up at him. "Only if you wanted pancakes."

"Wait, so we have a new Bondsmith? AND he's called James? Today's been pretty crazy."

Edwin walked up to the coach. "James Bond, huh? Well, sounds fun." And chose a spot on the floor where he sat cross-legged.
