  1. Yeah, it's good to see only low-profile people so to speak, that way we don't link the faces to the actors. If they cast, say, Nicolas Cage as Ba'alzamon, I wouldn't be able to take it seriously so I hope they keep this trend. And now that you mention it, I wonder how they'll handle the songs. I'd really like to see them but they cut them off LOTR for example, didn't they?
  2. They finally released the casting for the Emond Fielders, and they look AWESOME (save for maybe Perrin, not broad enough, but not really a problem either). Anyone else is excited?
  3. 45%. At this rate, we'll meet the 50% mark by the end of the week.
  4. Describe them? Big, red-eyed and evil, right? But no, they looked like people, normal people. He just, hadn't really thought about it until now. But what did they look like? Why was it so hard to remember? He surely wasn't so insensitive as to not remember the face of someone he had left unconscious, right? After all, he didn't kill them for that same reason. He looked at Twin, still on his shoulder, maybe she remembered, but she didn't appear to be paying attention. She looked nervous. Probably scared from being surrounded with so many people with weapons, they had never been in such a situation before. He turned back to the officer. "I.. didn't get a good look at them." he said lowering his gaze, ashamed. "But, I remember where we were. They were chasing me away from the rest and I found the hammer in the front garden of a house." he remembered all the wood and tools. "A treehouse. I think they were building a treehouse. Maybe something was left in there?" There could be some blood there but probably the Voidbringers had already left.
  5. Wow, reading it finished I think I overdid it with the edgy part. By the way, is that how a Twinborn works? Or Electrum for that matter? I haven't read Era 2 but I wanted to try this.
  6. "I hit two of them with a hammer but they're probably healed by now." said Edwin. It was somewhat relieving to be able to tell the truth. As long as it didn't take them to a mental institution.
  7. Well, that's it. We just got in more trouble than we were already in. Edwin waited, if the officers thought they were mocking them, this could get pretty ugly, but if they took it as no more than a joke it could help ease the mood. If they took it seriously though... But what were the odds?
  8. Edwin followed the officers towards the building, they were going to have to explain everything. He wasn't too worried though, his mind was in the hospital with the others. If the arrival of the police meant that the others would be alright, having to explain a bit of glowing and evil seeds was nothing in exchange.
  9. Huh, no replies? Weird. Anyway, that was a good movie, I still think Shin is better, but being able to se the monsters looking like that. It's totally worth it. It's like Hollywood's finally getting how to make monster movies after that masterpiece they made in 1998 (note the sarcasm). I disagree about the plot being unnecessary but this movie just struck such a nice balance, the characters and the plot were pretty good, nothing to win any awards but they blend really well with the monster-fights part. I don't get the critics either, like, at least half the movie was human interaction. There was a main plot, there were sub-plots, there was the eco-terrorism, and there was Serizawa, I don't know what the problem is. So yeah, one of the best monster movies I've ever seen. Can't wait for Godzilla vs Kong which is due for, next march? It's a good time to be alive.
  10. Alright, so these people could do weird stuff. He decided not to let it bother him too much, he would understand the situation soon enough. Hopefully. "I can, well, I use this thing." he showed them his tactical orbment. It looked like a big pocket watch. "To cast arts, which are basically magic. For example." He casted Breath, easing a bit the injuries of those who needed it. "Like that."
  11. "Great, this day just never ends." his mind started to race, thinking about what he should do. Casting an art would be too dangerous, who knew what would happen if he damaged the structure. In the end he just stood there, ready to impale whoever was outside. The door opened and he saw several people on the other side, none of them looked particularly eager to kill him so that was a good start. "Who are you?" asked the one closer to the door. "I could ask the same." he replied and thought about it for a moment before going on. "Though since you were kind enough to ask with your mouth instead of your fists, I'll trust you for now." he lowered his weapon. "I'm Ryan. Would you be so kind as to tell me where in the name of Aidios we are and what do I have to do to get back to solid ground?"
  12. Ryan tried to make some sense out of the last hour, but no matter how he looked at it, either this was a dream or he had gone straight mad. What had those things been? Where was he? It was really dark outside, and he suspected he wouldn't be able to simply walk out safely. And more importantly, where was he going? Was this thing even safe? Ok, just think. Those things didn't want you to get here, so wherever this thing goes, it's got to be better than that place. Finally, he sighed, giving up to the situation "May Aidios protect me." At that moment, the vehicle seemed to bump into something.
  13. Edwin threw himself to the ground. The police? What was the police doing here? What good were they against Voidbringers? "Do you think they have a doctor?" asked Twin. He looked around. There were as many of them down as there were unharmed. "I really hope so."
  14. Fun fact. Spanish speakers didn't have to look it up because "Hatred" literally translates to "Odio".
  15. Edwin tried to sneak away unsuccesfully. There were too many of them, though most were focused on Rob, Shana and Ben. At least they had a shield, he had his own problems, there were two chasing him. It was a matter of who had more Light, the one who ran out first would lose, and he was willing to bet they had more than a kid who had brought just a bit in case of emergency. He needed a weapon, quickly. There were some planks on a table in front of one of the houses -the owner probably was going to build a treehouse or something- and on the side there was a hammer. Well, it's better than nothing. I hope they have an extra one. He took the hammer, spun on one foot and slammed the sharp side on the head of one of them. He fell, most likely still alive but out of it for now. Then there was the other one, They stood in front of the other waiting to see who would make the first move. Edwin made a gesture with his free hand, pointing subtly towards the man. A second later Twinkle made herself visible right in front of the Voidbringer's eyes, startling him. Edwin took the opportunity and did the same he had done with the first one. "Thanks." he said to her. He left them there, he didn't want to kill anyone, even if they were Voidbringers. As long as they caused no more trouble for the night. He returned to where the others were. There were even more now, several vans had parked close. One Voidbringer had put something on the ground, it was glowing. What in the world is that? It could be nothing good.
  16. Edwin saw a bit of a commotion over at the food table. Some of the guys were there, along with a blurry version of Ben, apparently calling for help. "Ben and Shana have been captured by Voidbringers!" That was a second voice, Mahad, Shana's spren. The next few seconds were as blurry as the Ben illusion had been. Leona ran towards the door followed by Flid, Cassie tryed to disperse the illusion, probably so it wouldn't attract attention -it turned out Glint was inside-, and Mahad zipped into a wall. He ran for the door too. There was a van, they followed it. Leona was the closest but a shadow was approaching her. A wall appeared in front of the van seconds before the shadow stabbed Leona. Flid took care of that and took Leona away but the van was going to escape -apparently the wall wasn't too strong. It smelled, sweet? He couldn't contain a smile, of course she would do that. He ran with all his might the remaining distance and bent behind the van, putting his hands on the floor and inhaling Stormlight, hoping to manage something in time. Ok, Ed, you can do this, just this once. Make. It. Work. The left wheel sank. It was only a couple inches but it should keep them in place for a time. Just then he heard someone getting off the van. Oh right. he thought. The Voidbringers.
  17. Edwin stepped into the gym, he was wearing a suit he didn't think he would be using before graduation. So, you don't have a date, you don't know how to dance and overall you're not the most social creature on Earth. It was a great decision to come. "Well, I'm here so no turning back now." for now he decided to walk around, looking at the place. He thought Twin might get bored and fly off but she was sitting on his shoulder, looking at all the lights with eyes like a child's.
