  1. Edwin thought for a moment before answering. He knew this conversation was coming, but, this early? "Well, for the first point," he started "we don't. At least not personally. That's why we have someone to guide us," he gestured towards Doc "someone who knows when it's for the best and when it would be better to hold back. Now, if you're talking about last night, well, we were attacked, it was either that or die ourselves. You shouldn't beat yourself about that so hard." "For the second point, I honestly don't know, but I want to believe they can, there could even be good people in the inside, but until we find out, I can't think of any pacifist way to deal with them." "And for the third, you might be right. We do cause damages while we fight and do so without anyone even knowing we were there, but this is something that happens in the, shall we say, normal world too. Bad things happen all the time in order to prevent bigger problems and these are backed by the law. We don't even make things that big, most of the time innocent people is not involved. It's the same in our case, there are people who makes the rules and decides what has to be done to prevent a disaster. It just isn't known by other people because, well, you know why. I didn't choose to fight Voidbringers. Someone told me I was one of the few people who could and decided to do so. We're not straying from the law, we just follow a different one because it's the only way to face this problem."
  2. "I don't have a rhinoceros mini on me." "Why don't you have a rhinoceros?!" "Because I was not prepared for such things!!!" I feel like I will be visiting this thread quite often.
  3. Edwin looked up when Shana spoke up. "We`re always happy to listen."
  4. "We should probably find out how we were pulled from our homes. If we do end up getting away from them, better to have a clue on how to go back."
  5. "Besides, can we serve cake AND pancakes at the same time? My stomach is aching from thinking about it."
  6. I really would like the front five to end in an abrupt and confusing note, leaving us wondering what happened after that during the long timeskip, both in world and in real life. Also, I would like something to happen between Kaladin and Laral.
  7. "Morning." said Edwin to everyone who had just arrived, the kitchen was getting livelier by the minute. Good thing they had started before everyone had decided to have breakfast. "Will anyone have seconds?"
  8. Lewis was there, in the ground, idly wondering how much blood a person could lose before losing consciousness, when suddenly his mind was sharp again, his senses were clearer, and his pain was gone. "I hope, that's enough. Though, as I mentioned before, it's no bandage," He took the hand she offered him and got up. "Th-thank you." he said, confused. What had happened to his pain? He checked his side and the wound was gone. "What, what was that?" he asked. She obviously could do something as well, but her ability seemed completely different from his.

  10. We got Lan!
  11. Edwin started breaking the eggs in a bowl, so they would be ready when they were needed.
  12. "No offense but, though I can't speak for everyone here, I'm pretty confident that we have overcome many of the problems from our own path on evolution." said Ryan slightly irritated.
  13. Edwin looked out the window and saw light outside. Great, he had spent the night playing. And thinking. He wasn't that worried before the others had voiced their concerns about the world, and how it would see them if they found out about Investiture. Now he was worried. His life here was good. He could spend his time talking with his friends, playing videogames, reading, training, walking around the city, he was free. And he wasn't willing to give up that freedom. His mind was going numb. Too much time awake and he was getting hungry too. Maybe it would be better to think about that when he was in his five senses. He got up and changed. Twinkle was on top of the dresser. "You didn't have to stay here all night, you know." he said to her. "No, but I thought you needed the company." she said. He didn't answer, but he was grateful. He walked downstairs and noted that several people were already up, even though the sun had barely risen. Didn't someone mention pancakes last night? He decided to go to the kitchen and get started. By the time they realized he was awake, breakfast would be half done.
  14. Ryan took a step and looked for a leaf too. Now that he had the opportunity to drink, he realized he was thirsty. The water wasn't exactly fresh, but it was enough. "Yeah, surviving would be nice. But that would imply getting out of... here, right?" he gestured around them. Another world. "So, what's the plan for that part?"
  15. What if Earth is just the map of a videogame and we're all just part of a super advanced civilization playing at some arcade, and our level of riches, luck and mental health determine the difficulty, and when we die we'll wake up in the arcade or in our rooms just having played for about 20 minutes?
  16. Lewis sighed. This didn't come as a surprise, but the pain was already starting to annoy him. He took another bit of metal from his pocket and pushed it, this time aiming for the guy's foot. He didn't know if that had hit but he didn't care either. He turned back to the girl that had talked to him. "I hope that means something." then slid to the floor and sat there. He felt really dizzy.
  17. Ryan could not hide his surprise at the little spectacle. He had never hoped to meet a group like this one. He smiled, thinking of what the others would say when he told them the story at the guild. That was if he ever came back.
  18. And just like that, Lewis' little trick fell to pieces, there was no way he could still pretend he knew these people. But at least he was alive and somewhat safe now, and he had listened to that little interrogation. "I heard noise in the alley and this guy here started to threaten me, like there was something to hide here. It looked interesting so I tryed to pry in. Not the best of decisions." he said, dropping the act. "Does any of you have a bandage to spare by any chance?" he asked, not too hopeful. Who would trust a bleeding guy they've just met in a dark alley who happens to be in the company of a dangerous thug?
  19. Maybe at the start of a term, every person chooses an order and stays close to the Head Radiant of that order in the school and that starts them into squireship(?) since it seems that's how it works, and general lessons are taken with everyone else while order-specific lessons are taken with the Head Radiant?
  20. Ryan hesitated for a moment. What was the best way to describe what a tactical orbment did? "I have a pocket watch that shoots fireballs." immediately he decided that that didn't explain anything and rephrased it. "It's this little thing that lets me cast spells called orbal arts. They're specifically for combat so you can count on me. I can attack and heal as you saw on the ship. It has a limit though." He started walking as the others set a destination.
  21. Ryan stepped out, the suit clinging tightly to him. The others had already removed their helmets. What were they for again? It was probably important bu- His train of thought stopped completely as soon as he took a look to the scene that awaited outside. It was familiar but at the same time not quite like anything he had ever seen. And it was breathtaking. "A different world, huh." he muttered to himself. And then he forced himself to come back to reality, there was stuff to do. The others were talking about moving, he decided to help with whatever plan they came up with. Even if he didn't know them, they were his best chance, or at least they appeared to know a little bit more than he. And they looked like nice people too. He was more worried about the locals not being as nice.
  22. Sleep. Yeah, sleep sounded good. He would go to the kitchen for a bite and then sleep until lunch. Try to, at least. Too much to think about.
  23. Well, he couldn't blame him, it was a trick after all. Lewis walked slowly towards those people, each step harder and with each one he felt safer. One must always stick to the crowds, they're safe. Things were pretty hectic over at this side too, the other thug was probably going to die soon from the look of it. That might upset his own thug and he might run, or finish the job he had started on Lewis. He wouldn't allow that until he found out what was happening here. "Hey," he started, in a loud voice. "this kind man has agreed to let us go if we listen to him. Maybe he'll listen to us too." Speaking so casually to a group of people fighting for their lives wasn't so smart, but there weren't many choices, it was a dice roll, the third one at least in the last five minutes. Why did I have to look into the alley? He would probably miss the meeting.
