  1. Is she Shallan?
  2. Oh, are you learning Python? That's nice, It was my first language Edit: This was my result, as I expected 91.6 % certainty for Elsecaller or Willshaper Elsecallers are the seventh order of the Knights Radiant, and they have a focus on doing what is logical. They are known to be very wise, and they try to consider all of their options. Willshapers are the eighth order of the Knights Radiant, and they have a focus on experiencing new things. They are known to be very adventurous, and they seek to have an impact on the world.
  3. Well, I never said that I expect anybody to change its mindset. Neither I said that I have the right to attack a regular person who dislikes homosexuals but don't actively express this, neither try to diminish their civil rights. I liked the words you used to describe them, mildly homophobic, it's a nice term. However Sanderson is an author, so he's mildly homophobia can be reflected in their work if he's not wise enough. That's why he avoid writing about LGBT characters. In the momento someone (like my father) who dislikes homosexual relationships, but not commit any kind of violence against them, have some platform to express freely there is a high chance of been unintentionally offensive. Since Sanderson seems to be someone who enjoying portray humans as best they can he will obviously not been satisfied if he ended been depreciate with his own gay characters and worse, alienating some of his fans in this process who will be severely dissatisfied with verifying stupid and / or stereotyped representation That's why he's having his own time before feeling comfortable enough to write about a major LGBT charactes. And I don't think we need to put pressure on him. It's better no gay/lesbian casting at all than have a pretty bad one.
  4. Can't wait for August!
  5. 10 is already enough, I like the idea of each book focusing in one order
  6. Well, in my society? Criminals. In tradition/honor based societies, I would say just hateful/dangerous people Like, we're talking about killing right? This is really way too far. A sane human being will hardly cross the line of killing anyone just for "honor". Most of prejudice isn't manifested with direct or clear violence at least not in secular societies because: a ) Most laws don't allow it; b ) Society in general don't accept free violence; c ) They are members of the same community, so it's harder to desumanize another person that much Most of prejudice are, instead, manifested in minor behaviors, such as, for instance, not giving a person a job for a person based on their gender, or their skin color, or nationality. Or even a parent who don't let their kids play with poor or immigrant children in school. An homophobic is just a regular person who have contempt, aversion, antipathy, disdain or hatred for LGBT people, yes hate is here, but it's not the only thing that makes someone homophobic. There are even gay people who are homophobic and shows it when interacting with other LGBT people, transgender people are the most likely targets about suffering prejudice in their own community. I hope now I could displayed a bit better my understanding about what is prejudice and one of the various forms it manifests (in this case, prejudice against LGBT people)
  7. So we have a deeply different opinions about what homophobia is. Mormons can view the world whatever they want, been homophobic doesn't imply actively hating or persecute anybody. Have a prejudice is just not seeing a group of people in the same way as other group of people based in whatever preconception the person has. I this case, Sanderson find every single LGBT relationship sinful? So it's a prejudice for me I didn't even stated anything about his religion btw, I talked about him as individual, you're reaching a bit here . For me the way he sees (or used to see) the world is/was homophobic. Been homophobic doesn't mean the person is a monster or anything, both my parents are a bit homophobic specially father, and was even surprised to discover that some years ago because I never saw him treating bad any gay person, I only discovered that after a private conversation, but I still labeled him as homophobic, and well, I love dad anyway so don't care that much since I'm not gay myself. I think Sanderson is probably a great guy, actually having some gay friends and probably even love them and want just good things for them, but it's not block him of his homophobia. Hell, will I judge him for having bad thoughts? Who Am I? God? No, I'll never do that, I think as long he isn't going anything harmful by any means he can still have some eventually homophobe thoughts just fine. I don't even know why we are having this discussion. I make that comment because it's how I see he's feelings based in his own past and current words. Moral is individual, so according to my OWN moral I see him as homophobic. If you want to discuss this in a more ethic or even legal/lawful field, then it's another discussion
  8. I would LOVE to see Navani as the main character. It would be the first time the main character is not a flashback character, and also the first time the main character is not a Radiant, but rather a common person, a incredible noble smart talented and important person, but just a human and not a demigod Radiant
  9. Ngl, Sanderon used to be pretty homophobic when he was younger. Now he matured he seems to be slowing reviewing his opinions about LGBT community He's very conscious of his own prejudices (even if he's fighting against them) so he not feels comfortably to written about them yet because he's afraid of not depict gay/lesbian characters in a positive, respectful and credible way
  10. People are forgetting that high budget movie can flop hard and destroy any possibility of future adaptations I don't know why we need a cinematic live action movie. I daresay a Netflix animated series would do much better gathering new audiences than a movie from this completely unknow studio Sanderson signed You want a loyal adaptation to finally see with your eyes what he's writing without any budget limitation? Go for an animation. This is no Game of Thrones, there isn't any HBO ready to spend over 5 million each episode (and Mistborn is much more fantasy heavy, would need far more visual effects than GOT ever needed). In the current state a live action will just be a disaster.
  11. Hoping for an animation Live action will need a big budget to work
  12. No, I like him as a non radiant
  13. He's great, but my third least favorite POV radiant so far behind Szeth which I truly hate and Venli which I don't have a real opinion yet Dalinar, Shallan and Jasnah are my favorites, followed by Lift and Renarin
  14. Awesome quiz 79% Lightweaver 59% Elsecaller 42% Truthwatcher 24% Bondsmith 24% Edgedancer 17% Skybreaker 11% Windrunner 11% Dustbringer 9% Stoneward
  15. I only played five entries, Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds, Brewth of the Wild and a borrowed Skyward sword that I never finished I really wanted to play Wind Waker and I'm rooting for a Skyword Sword for Switch so I'll can finally finish it
  16. He's so accessible and caring with his fans that I actually believe he may indeed answer lol
  17. I find the multiplayer just awesome and really addictive. Too bad my internet connection is lame, but overall it's was very pleasant and it's literally nothing alike other shooter games. I'm suffering from been a noob, but despit my lack of weaponry and skills I'm surviving (level 9 already). Works for sure better docked. The only downside it's as I said, internet connection, so I will need to play mostly at home. Fortunately the story mode is good too. It's a different concept of shooter game as well, slightly more inclined to a more action based gameplay. It 100% works as a handheld game, which is great because Switch is a hybrid console so games needs to satisfy both experiences. The downside is the story mode looks pretty small, only 5 maps for what I see, and I'm already in half of the second one
  18. @The Awakened Salad just bought it. Hoping to play it during carnival break starting this friday
  19. Not sure If I understand the question I'm not into traditional shooter games like Counter Strike because I don't like... shooting people neither like blowing things up? However Splatoon comes with a more cartoonish design and a different game dynamics, more focused on territory control. I like it. Seems like a game I can play with my younger cousins without any troubles I'm also curious to see discover how enjoyable is the multiplayer mode for me
  20. I'm considering to buy it
  21. Author Brandon Sanderson explains: Buy Rhythm of War from:
  22. She's clearly Timbre
