  1. Agreed with this one Although I can't see Renarin as a POV character yet, maybe a minor POV
  2. Venli will close part 1 I think I'm expecting a cliffhanger
  3. Yup Jasnah already stated she doesn't fully trust them yet. It means they only have one big order really suited for combat Alliance situation is not as fine as the Alethkar incursion made me think when I saw so many Windrunners and Edgdancers fighting None of those Radiants progressed over the third ideal either except Jasnah ? I actually think 90% of them are stuck in the second ideal, unable to conjuring shardblades and so
  4. Also it's so nice Rosharan surgeons are discovering vaccines Hope our earth scientists manage to find vaccines to covid soon
  5. So the alliance only have 3 Truthwatchers, and probably only one Elsecaller. There is also no signs of Stonewards. Seems like some spren still stubborn to bond humans. With Willshappers largely being refunded among Singers and Skybreakers also fighting for the singers, it leaves alliance with only 4 full orders My bet is there is around a dozen or two Lighweavers, and a similar number of Dustrbringers (maybe a few more). Around a hundred Windrunners, and less than half of that for Edgedancers Plus only one Skybreaker, one Elsecaller, the three Truthwatchers and one Bondsmisth (there was never many of them anyways) So maybe around 200 Radiants
  6. You didn't ask me, but yeah, Brazilian here
  7. Really makes sense. I'll got a little further Ardentia structure is one of the most obscure gaps Sanderson is refusing to reveal and seems like nobody is really talking about it. We had some ardents POVs so far, such as Geranid, Ellista and Lhan, but nothing of really revealing was explained. The are also no signs of uncovering secrets ardentia must be keeping, so I wonder if there is any secret organization inside Ardentia structure, with Pailiah as a fundamental member of them. Sanderson already mentioned Roshar have 9 secret organizations working in the planet, Confirmed societies are the Skybreakers, Sons of Honor, Ghostbloods, The Diagram and The Seventeenth Shard, making space for 4 others. A secret one born among ardents is not unlikely
  8. Personal comments: Nale looks awesome. His outfits really remember me a constable, but there is some mix of both senerity and concern on his expression, it just looks right depction of him Chanarach looks nice too, but I expected a illustration of the Herald of the Dustbringers to looks more... I don't know, war-like? She looks too peaceful for me Btw, now we have illustrations of all Heralds except Battar
  9. Alethi slaves are low-paid labor, but they are treated like humans still. They have some human rights and get a paycheck, and they can own property and buy other goods. In this sense, alethi slaves are not private property of the noble caste, rather a group of people subjected to a compulsory work regime for whatever reason. I'm also not sure if slaves children are born slaves like their parents This chapter shows even ardents are see as slaves, so Alethi society might have a broader definition of slaverism Perhaps, the definition most of you have in mind about what a slave is supposed to be is most fit to how singers were used, as they were treated like a cattle. Indeed they weren't beaten and gagged like common slaves, but torture a Parshman would be like torture a horse or any other farm animal. Remember for many low-born darkeyes are forbidden some basic rights, like travel rights. Slaves are essentially darkeyes with even lower income whose workforce rights were sold for someone willing to pay for them. Jasnah probably thinks no human person should be treated like a commodity to be sold and submitted to another person's ill, she wants to abolish this compulsory bondage system. Look the bridge-crews, the system worked because slaves couldn't refuse their lord's commands, not unless you want to be hanged So she's essentially turning the already low-paid compulsory workers in low-paid non-compulsory and non-tradable workers.
  10. This theory is more likely than oaths, that's for sure. Singers orders seems to be different so I guess the singer passion defines what orders they are most fit, but it's hard to tell exactly which passion represents each brand as many of them display different levels of insanity (Fannahn-im for instance are mostly crazy and live on the purpose of soulcast resources)
  11. Fused aren't bonded to spren, as such I don't think any ideals are required Besides Honor is the shard of oaths and liaisons, shards magical manifestation of investiture are generally related with shards own intent, II'm sure Odium grant access to power through emotions. Fused gained their power trough through hatred against mankind developed over many centuries of war
  12. I think there is a specific ROW subforum to discuss this subject
  13. Ash was mentioned as having Shin features
  14. Oh Jasnah you are so incredible Sanderson please give us more POV from this woman, I'm needy for more chapters of her
  15. Sometimes I feel I'm the only one who loves Adolin as a non-radiant
  16. But the fact she has hidden truths is not the problem, what I find quite annoying is the fact we already look at her past, the moment to reveal her secrets in past was book 2, and she used it to progress until the third ideal. There is no requirement of the truths to be exactly related to the past, I thought Shallan 4th and 5th ideals would be focused on her current actions and decisions and her past was finished for good. Just like Dalinar past was quite finished in last book and his next oaths are more likely related with his current actions
  17. Shallan arc is becoming less and less convincing and from a narrative perspective is not cool establish her flashbacks in book 2 only to now state she actually has even deeper secrets not explained in her own book But at least her psychological issue entertains (is anyone really not liking her multiple personality jokes? I find the writing really fun) and is working well as plot-device. She has a clear arc and direction and all things considered she truly feels like a key character in the big scheme of things Kaladin plot at this point is just miserable circle of pain and suffering, it has not being fun for quite sometime already, his chapters were already my least favorite in Oathbringer and I'm sure they will be again in ROW. I also understand what Sanderson wants to do with him and I respect his decision as an author, I just hope this boy find some happiness in his life he does not deserve, really looking forward for him to overcome his darkness
  18. How many chapters are we getting before the final release?
  19. Really excited to see Navani's plot, she's the onlye one I have no idea what to expect
  20. Some Szeth finally ! And a Navani POV, neat as always Ok, but where is Jasnah ? I miss her
  21. Navani chapter please
  22. Debatable. I guess we need a non-Warbreaker reader and ask them what they think As a non-Warbreaker reader, I would probably didn't understand anything (Type 1 invested, what?) Even more debatable. What happened this chapter was not a easter egg, it was a 1 meter cock crowing scandalously to get attention. As a Warbreaker reader, I didn't get any satisfaction whatsover for making any connection between the 2 books. didn't get any "aha" moment as the text was so self explanatory that I find impossible to someone who have read Warbreaker to don't get every info, It just was not fun nor exciting read which is really strange because I generally enjoy Sanderson explanation texts
