  1. Are we going for an actual realistic name? If so, probably Raysium, but Odiumium is way more fun!
  2. Welcome @Casimir the Willshaper ! Just a warning, don't take @Rage's cookie.
  3. I'll be back to MasterJack when everyone else changes back.

    No clue when that is...

  4. I'm fairly new here, but just the fact that you have the confidence to ask this is a HUGE deal! I wish I was that confident...
  5. Jasnah and Mr. T team up to save the world, along with Mr. T overcoming his reliance on the Diagram, and becoming a Radiant.
  6. Glad to be here again! There is some blood in here, but nothing much. You don't have to have read the Prologue or Chapter 1 to grap this story. For those of you who have read those, I realize it's way too similar to the Prologue to work as chapter 1, and I'll definitely change it later. So, with that in mind, I know my phrasing is terrible, and I'd love critique on it, but this is really just me exploring this character, so try to ignore it. Is this character is compelling? Thanks everyone!
  7. Barely made it! Got my 70th rep right after my 200th post! That's not very good -_-, I know, it's like 1 rep every 3 (ish) posts. But still, at least I have rep! :D

  8. Yep, got it done! It's ridiculously short, but I'll submit it anyway, keep us going through the NaNoWriMo doldrums. See ya'll tomorrow!
  9. Although I really enjoyed seeing Shadesmar, they were in there for far too long for me, and I wanted them out long before they actually got to the Oathgate, so that was a huge downside to this part. Other than that, it was a little slow and was probably my least favorite part of this book. But still, a solid chunk.
  10. Aside from the Brandon Avalanche in part 5'ish, this was by far my favorite part. First of all are Dalinar's flashback chapters. Why Dalinar, why!? The battle for Kholinar was the end I expected for the entire book, and it was refreshing to have it happen in Part 3 Shallann's really got me worried now This revel thing is pretty weird, with a capital W. Kaladin once again turns an entire force of soldiers around and becomes their leader. And another character from Nalthis on Roshar, very interesting, I wonder who it could be... Poor Beard, and Sah, and Khen, and everyone else! Elhokar, brutally murdered in the middle of swearing the first Ideal, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I had just started to like him!!!!!!! Why Bradon, why??????? No Kaladin, not again!!!!! So much emotion packed into this part. Greatest Part 3 of any Sanderson book yet!
  11. I may have something done by tonight, I'll let you know in an hour or so if I'll be ready to submit.
  12. With the release of Oathbringer, I am changing my favorite scene: Oathbringer Oathbringer:
  13. Part 1 and 2 were great, if a little slow, although I loved the Bridge 4 POV's. Part 3 was the end I was expecting for the whole book, and it was amazing to get it half-way through. Part 4 was a little slow for Shallan, Kaladin, and the rest of the crew in Shadesmar, but it was great to see the Cognitive Realm on Roshar. Finally Part 5, just wow! It was amazing! The Brandon Avalanche at its best. The build-up to the final battle in Thaylena, and the moment where Dalinar refused to give Odium his pain was amazing! The end of this book was the end I was expecting for maybe book 5, but book 4 at the earliest, so there are so many places this could go right now, and I'm excited to see what comes next!
  14. Just noticed that, but it looks like you got top it first.
  15. This Day In History shows up in my inbox on November 14th. What is wrong with these storming people! Oathbringer's release is not included in the summary!? That's the best storming November 14th I've ever had! People these days...
  16. Honestly @Tesh, I also prefer to read slow and enjoy it, but I did get a little carried away when I first got it. I'm only on pg. 700 or so now,so I've really mellowed out.
  17. 100? That's nothing! I read the first 200 pages when I got it. Now I'm wondering what that says about me.
  18. I just read chapter 76, Dalinar's flashback when he burns the Rift, and I am close to tears right now. Best Chapter, Ever! So much emotion packed into that short chapter. Why Dalinar, why!?
  19. Wayne: This is a hard choice between Edgedancer or Lightweaver. I think either of these would be a good fit, both for the powers, and also the personalities of the spren related to the orders. I think I'm going to go with Lightweaver though, I mean, just think of how many different hats he could have! Spook: Lightweaver, no question there. Sixth of the Dusk: Elsecaller probably Now let's take a trip outside the Cosmere and Brandon's work... Harry Potter: Windrunner, definitely Windrunner Hermione Granger: She's probably between an Elsecaller or a Lightweaver Fitz Chivalry: It's been a while since I've read this, but maybe a Bondsmith? Kvothe: Bondsmith or Elsecaller, not sure. Frodo: This one's hard, but I'd probably have to go with Bondsmith. Legolas: Windrunner
  20. Uh... Oathbringer... Duh!
  21. I've read the Eye of the World, and I'm wondering if I want to continue with the series, I've heard both good and bad about it. Is it worth it to read the rest of the series? Knowing myself all too well, I'll probably read it whatever you guys say, as I can't leave anything unread or unfinished, but I'd like to have a good idea of what to expect as I go in, (as i probably will)
  22. It looks like I'm the only submission this week... definitely NaNoWriMo. Anyway, this is chapter 1, I submitted the prologue last week, in which... The Life Stone that gives the city of Narthen Water was stolen by Master FangTar of the Swifters, who also killed Master Ditanu TonHar of the Slashers. Anyway, that's a very quick summary of what happened in the prologue, but if you would like to read the whole .doc, feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to email it to you. I'm still trying to decide on the POV's I'm using in this story, so the main thing I'm looking for here is whether this would be an interesting POV and a character that could carry the story. Anything else you can give me would be great, thanks in advance for all your critiques!
  23. My thoughts: Shallan's identity crisis is really worrying me Jasnah's a boss, although a little heartless, Bridge four was great! Wonderful choice to do some Bridge 4 POV's Moash, not going where I expected him too, and I'm loving how he's finally seeing where he went wrong Dalinar's flashbacks continue, and Adolin attempts to slay his first chull, as Renarin is being 'born unto himself' just fantastic Renarin continues to talk to himself Vibrating gemstones contain lost information in hidden compartments in the walls, YES!!! Rock's family has arrived, And Teft is a drugee, Looking forward to part 3 ya'll
