  1. Can always use more hugs. *hugs back* I've been doing better, RPing helps, lets me escape into a different life for a little while.
  2. @2001Kra please no poaching members for guilds in this thread. @Sunbringer as mentioned, you can simply start a new thread to create a new guild, but it's probably best to discuss it in the chat thread first, then people can provide feedback, express interest, etc. The chat thread is also a good place to find which thread you could start in, and if you have a character in mind you should post them in the character creation thread. Hope that helps!
  3. Investiture and Invested items could share points, then skills separately? So Non-Invested characters could have Shardblades, Fabrials, Medallions, etc.
  4. Swearing oaths is a very slow process, the RP tends to move quite a bit faster than, for example, the SA books do in time. It takes several months at least of particularly trying and appropriate circumstances to swear the next oath. As for how it should be handled, honestly I think it should be the same as any power addition, a question that is floated past everyone and if no one has objections then it is allowed.
  5. I guess one we've seen the spren for so I can get the character right, ideally a Windrunner or Lightweaver since we know the most about Syl and Pattern. But I'm sure people will be forgiving if we invent a spren and it turns out to be a little wrong. In summary: No not really any preference, there are some RP reasons that some would be better but I can work with anything and I do like exploring the unknown so the unknown spren are also good.
  6. I actually have extensive experience on this from RPing Kenku in D&D (They can technically talk if they mimic other people but when I play them they're usually effectively mute and only talk if absolutely necessary) But thanks, this will be my first time writing a mute character so hopefully I can manage to pull it off still. Given that most of their points come from intelligence I think that's still satisfying to have as an upper powered character, especially given how much everyone seems to want to push for more intrigue and social encounters instead of straight fighting next era. Illusions, super intelligence and some sneaky abilities will be pretty highly valued in those kinds of scenarios.
  7. *Begins pulling out crate of umeboshi plums and setting up two plates for the ensuing contest*
  8. Yeah that's about what I was thinking, then if people want to be below-average they can have it as a weakness and take negative points.
  9. I'd like to have the titles adjusted for the intelligence sections. Because a lot of people probably won't take skills from there if they want to play certain characters so setting the minimum to be 'amateur' intelligence means we're going to have a lot of really dumb characters. I'd suggest: Smart (Top of the class), Intelligent / very smart (Top of the school), genius (Near the top of the country), mastermind (One of the smartest people in the world)
  10. Ok so prospective character for E3 Name: Whisper @Archer All era 3 characters:
  11. There's also the problem inherent in having a standing army, what are they doing and how are you affording them? Maintaining a standing army when you're not in a conflict is pretty taxing on any organisations resources. So hiring mercenaries makes way more sense for most guilds.
  12. I appreciate the attempt but this unfortunately isn't one of those times. I'm doing ok, going to take a while but I'll get there eventually.
  13. I'd be up for that, and then just make a Kenku from D&D anyway.
  14. One of many reasons we make sure our department heads are functionally immortal.
  15. But by then you'd already commandeered the photo so the law was enacted. No getting out of it now.
  16. See the weird part is that we know that seeing the future in the cosmere isn't completely reliable, especially the further into the future you go you can only see possibilities, not a single predefined destiny. So does Chromium steal simply your possible futures? Or a single possible future? Or does it have access to something more reliable than Shardic future sight?
  17. I'm afraid the constant fake-outs of the GBs have left me not particularly inclined to trust you enough to formally accept you into the DA, but hey we're always open to collaborating on Meeker related projects. This is true, but what we don't reveal in the publicly available guidelines are just how painful and spirit-altering that promotion is.
  18. It could just be that the actual effect is less clear. I mean if you did spike someones destiny into yourself how would you be able to tell? Whereas all abilities being spiked into you would be pretty obvious even though Lerasium itself is far rarer. Another interesting point for me at least is that destiny isn't capitalized here, unlike Identity, Connection, Fortune.
  19. Hi @Somethingfunny, Welcome to the forums! I've just moved this to the Mistborn subforum due to some spoilers. I've had some similar thoughts in the past but after seeing the new table I'm not sure, the description there is specific enough that if it was stapling the whole soul I feel like it would mention that a bit more explicitly. I do think that it might still be possible to move an entire soul but it might not always do that.
  20. Only Wakefulness.
  21. The smaller distinction of any (Atium) vs. all (Lerasium) is also interesting, confirming a few theories that Lerasium can likely steal more than a single power from someone at a time.
