  1. Meanwhile in the middle of an impenetrable barrier, Voidus was a little unsure how anyone thought he was supposed to marry anyone but just decided to roll with it. He did note the names of everyone who'd suggested such a thing though. For when he escaped.
  2. I would like to add my own thanks to @Archer as well, he's done a whole lot to support this RP, especially in the last few months for the end of this era, puts up with a barrage of character profiles and numerous death threats from some unnamed shadowy individual who is still upset about his rock getting exploded, and has always given thoughtful and constructive feedback for other peoples characters, worldbuilding and ideas. Thanks Archer, you're awesome and definitely deserve an Alleyverse holiday named after you.
  3. @MetaTerminal@Archer@Kidpen@#Voidapple
  4. So I'm assuming this was your way of asking me to lock this topic?
  5. Tom Bombadil isn't going to win a duel he's just not going to lose it. The other two I stand by my previous points on.
  6. If the reason that there's no Investiture is due to dimensional instability then it's going to be dangerous.
  7. Possibly but then anyone who enters it would probably die.
  8. Oooh! Divorce in the Alleyverse is very serious. We take the 'til death do we part' vow very literally.
  9. It's mostly that last one. Just sitting inside the barrier crying.
  10. She can find her own way back if she needs to.
  11. Fingers crossed we continue the trend and they end up summoning their god next era
  12. I think it'll be open to the public so that should be possible.
  13. I'm torn between upvoting this and abusing my mod powers to change it
  14. Again, depends on the differences, not the similarities. Can it be used at range? That's already way more useful than a Shardblade. Does it also need to pierce someone's spine? Or does it kill them by touching them anywhere? Because again that's more powerful than a Shardblade. It's also immaterial and can't be taken away from you without Hemalurgy. Regardless, all I can do is rate it as an Epic power, and the ability to indisputably kill someone once a day is pretty powerful. Up to Archer how much the weaknesses subtract from that. Assuming reasonable answers to the other questions (Range within a few hundred feet at most, flames are within normal temperature ranges, etc.) should be around another 50 points. Total: 130 points (Weaknesses of powers have not yet been subtracted)
  15. I enjoy character analysis greatly and I get to reference my old Epic charts for the first time in a long while so don't be sorry Alright with that I'd put the power itself around a 55 points to be safe. 20 points higher than a Nicroburst due to the ability to maintain it over long periods. @Archer
  16. Pyrokinesis: Way too broad to score this, limitations, size, temperature and range of control would be nice or just pick an existing fictional pyromancer that I can use as a reference point. Being able to create fire in particular can be insanely powerful depending on what you mean by it. Could they look at Alleycity once and have it instantly turn into a giant pile of ashes? 10-300 points, depending on these limits. Green flame of Death: Assuming you adhere to the normal limits of a Shardblade (Melee range only, can be blocked by heavily magical interference, etc.) I'd say a 30 points is reasonable for this, the extra time to summon it is unlikely to factor in much. But the weakness afterwards is probably worth some points subtractions, I'll leave that to Archer. Teleportation: Teleportation is a really rare power in the Reckonerverse, and this is a group portalling ability. The weaknesses help to rank it lower but this is still something pretty powerful, I mean it's essentially a portable Oathgate, think how highly those are valued in SA and how much Investiture they consume. The strategic usefulness of being able to instantly transport a large number of soldiers behind enemy lines is insane. 50 points. Without physical contact is potentially the kicker here, the limitation of a Nicroburst is that they can only really boost people for a quick moment, in addition another concern would be that this could be construed as the ability to instantly depower people by channelling their power into someone else. If there is a max limit on the number of people that can be affected even after the need for physical contact is gone, and it's impossible to channel power from someone against their will: 45 points seems reasonable, range and duration gives them a little bit of a boost over a Nicroburst If they can channel power from someone against their will but still can only affect a limited number of people: 120 points at the least If they can channel power from someone against their will and don't have a limit on the number of people they can affect at once: 200 points+
  17. I'd say Investiture in cosmere worlds is too intrinsic to really have places where it's entirely absent. Too many complications or handwaving needed. Just my $0.02
  18. The detainment unit gathered back together, something solid had passed straight through it, briefly scattering its Aons. It managed to pull itself back together but its alignment was off, causing several key sections of its Aonic programming to fail. And the Dor continued to drain from it, flowing to other areas of the battle as injured Elantrians and Dhakor monks began to draw on its powers to withstand the barrages of energy that were being hurled in all directions. The detainment unit struggled to remember the correct protocol for this situation, someone else had physically hit the barrier, but were they attacking it? Was it supposed to detain this person or kill them? Or was this one of the occasions it was supposed to serve tea at? No, it was functioning as a detainment unit for now, it had a mission. But what was it again? Its Aons grew dimmer, the misalignment causing them to fade even faster now as they were unable to serve their purpose. It needed to merge back with the barrier, but it couldn't. There was someone it needed to stay with, someone that it needed to take... somewhere. It watched the chaos around it in silent confusion. Why were these people attacking each other? Why were there bodies littering the ground? And now, beginning to loom over the battlefield was the storm-front of the Alleystorm, less than a minute away now. Oddly silent for something so powerful it flew towards Alleycity, almost at the outskirts now. The detainment unit couldn't remember if that was good or bad.
  19. Voidus would be very impressed that you managed to find out the bindpoints for a planet. But really you'd need to spike the bindpoint that the world spike is already in to remove it.
  20. Not sure if this was portrayed but basically a character with no Investiture could use all 150 points on their skills, someone with Investiture can use up to 100 of the total 150 points for their Investiture, and the remainder for skills. So everyone would have access to 50 points for skills regardless but would be capped at 100 points of Investiture. And also, I will be talking to anyone who tries to suddenly add skills that aren't a part of their character sheet. Just like I would if someone claimed that their Character found some Lerasium and is now a Mistborn.
  21. If no magic worked then they'd be dimensionally unstable and kill anyone who entered them. The Alleyverse only exists because magic is keeping it stable through the worldspike.
  22. First concern before we get to scoring this: Reckonersverse isn't part of the cosmere, the Alleyverse allows characters from both to meet each other but I find it unlikely that Calamity would give someone powers that are functionally useless unless they travel to another universe.
  23. Ok, so closer to a gold compounder than a gold ferring but with the downside that it takes time to heal so still possible to take them out of the fight for a while. Tally: 40 points (Tracing), 30 points (Summoning / Wind Blades), 50 points (Healing) Total: 120 points @Archer
