  1. Well it could be that upon being spoken the written oath was restored somehow. Magical scribing system or something also since Honor left that message for Dalinar, he could have done something similar for any future KR.
  2. I like that, mind if I put it in my sig. with a reference?
  3. Doesn't get rid of feruchemy but still would be incredibly useful having chromium or nicrosil as your allomantic ability would always be useful, I imagine that both would be in very high demand.
  4. I still think that a double steel would be incredibly useful, not necessarily at hand to hand combat as you would probably break bones and tendons as you mentioned, but you could still take peoples metalminds of the, before they are aware of you, if you compounded enough steel it would basically be a bendalloy bubble that only affects you and has none of that deflection going on, you could still zip around the battlefield shooting people at point blank. But yes one of my second choices of twinborn is a Pewter/Steel although I alternate between that and a bendalloy/pewter they would do similar things but I think that for pure combat a thug-steelrunner would be one of the most useful.
  5. The problem with a double Chromium is that you'd never be able to tell how the luck would manifest, you might still get shot in the head, but also win the lottery at the same time I do agree that there is no tactic you could use against them successfully still, double steel steal everyone elses metalminds and then shoot them.
  6. Looks good! now to break them down into their quadrants, allomantic and Feruchemical and then try to think about hemalurgy and wait for my brain to explode. Sound good? As for Rubidium I'd suggest RbCl
  7. Well the whole point of having a double steel is that you can compound so you can tap to any level of speed you want. Although it depends on how much your reaction speeds up with it, besides it's very difficult to shoot someone who is moving around you erratically at around 400 km/h Edit: A steel/Iron could work too, but really the Iron just enhances your pushing abilities a bit, not sure that it would be that useful against a double gold.
  8. Double steel could fairly easy, if you kill them fast enough then it doesn't matter how fast they heal, alternatively it would make it very easy to capture them.
  9. Yeah, magnesium I suppose could work, I just realised there aren't enough alkali metals anyway there are only the 6 of them, unless you count hydrogen so that would only be 12 if you gave each of them 1 alloy as well.
  10. double-ferring for me would probably be gold/steel. I still think a double steel twinborn is pretty much unbeatable.
  11. I suppose they could be the Alkali metals and alloys of the Alkali metals, but then no one would be able to burn them because if you tried to swallow a chunk of Caesium, you will die. Also congrats to Shivertongue on getting a popular post!
  12. Well for it to be an epic metal it would have to be an alloy of The Epic God Metal with each of the other allomantic metals. But I would say that it is so epic that any alloy of The Epic God Metal would instantly be consumed by its own epic.
  13. You can't have only two allomantic powers by birth, it would have to be from hemalurgy. I'd still rather be a twinborn but if I had to then I suppose I'd go with a Bendalloy and pewter combo
  14. *whisper* Shh! You'll blow my cover! *louder* All hail the Almighty! and such things
  15. Greetings! be careful of that waffle it (glances at Shivertongue) er, is a bit hot, don't get burned *cough* hidden Hemalurgic spike *cough*
  16. I'd say take it as cannon unless it has been contradicted elsewhere, I already used it to update some of the information on the Derethi and to add a page for the Gyorn.
  17. Well no one else was ever able to replicate the KR powers so it would seem that aat least the vast majority of Surgebinders were KR
  18. ^It was the Nightwatcher, the Nightmother was the matron of the dark brotherhood
  19. Well Kal is on his way to being a full KR though so surely that's got to bring some kind of advantage. As for the same ground thing I did forget that the larger the target the more strain on gems and all that, trying to soulcast an entire hallway floor is probably a bit impractical... ah well, best move on. I'm hoping that the arrival of an actual KR might cause something to happen to Szeth (hopefully the releasing of him being Truthless) alternatively if it doesn't he's almost certainly going to want to continue fighting Kaladin as much as possible as Kaladin is one of the only people now who even has a chance of taking him out.
  20. Now why would you go thinking something like that, there's no reason to make that assumption.... (slowly begins to summon Shardblade)
  21. I was actually just thinking about this from the other day when you posted it, we know that Feruchemy is divided realmatically could allomancy actually be the same? From this wee can see that the 'mental' powers could potentially be influenced physically (with miminum handwavium) Enhancement powers have always reminded me of the cognitive, changing the nature of things which is similar to how soulcasting works (If you stretch it a bit) which would make the Temporal abilities Spiritual, we know (I'm quite sure) that time bubbles stay in one place because it has the same spiritual connection to the ground as the person who made it, it doesn't just stay still because of the initial momentum of the person creating it. That all being said I would say that this works for the physical metals and I can see how it would work with the cognitive (enhancement) metals as well, it changes the nature of the metals to either make them allomantically inert or allomantically super-charged (not sure how the second works still) as for the spiritual (Temporal) I'm still not entirely sure but I'm sure someone will think of something on this.
  22. I'll take an interview! which one is it? the stormlight?
  23. I think that they've basically got the equivalent of allomancy before Lerasium, not sure about feruchemy but I would assume that some have it. I've always wondered that about the Terris as well, I guess it could just be a racial thing, their pre-existing sDNA was more compatible with feruchemy while other nations were more compatible with allomancy. That's about all I can come up with
  24. Yeah that was my thought too, given it's regular occurence in the morning I think that it being a Dawnsinger makes sense.
  25. Yeah I understand, it is always good to have a more reliable option you never know when you'll have an Ardent around I suppose On the having to touch the same ground as them, this isn't too difficult as you would presumably be standing on it, I think you would be able to soulcast a particular segment as well so no need to soulcast yourself into the ground as well. Yeah that fir thing is the best idea i've seen I think, I just realised that the next book may contain a Szeth/Kaladin fight which would be one of the best fight scenes of all time. Also Windrunners are seeming more and more invulnerable.
