  1. Get in line. There's a long list of people who would like to have "words" with him.
  2. That's what he claims. Forgive me if Ishar's word seems untrustworthy.
  3. Maybe? We don't have an accurate timeline which makes things tricky.
  4. Welcome to the Perpendicularity of Brandon!
  5. I'm familiar with those WoB's. I don't dispute them. It is in this particular instance that I am having a problem. If it was Ishar well then the answer is some level of connection manipulation. As has been noted do we know that he only ever saw the stormfather? This dissonance would serve Odium well. Gavilar himself seems confused. It does not sit right.
  6. Correct. Ishar concocted the idea. He created it. Let me ask again. How would the Stormfather who so far as we have seen is a spren in the sense of most that he simply does not know certain things until Dalinar does, know so crucial a piece of information about the oathpact which was created long before he was fully conscious? If he was truly just holding out on us the that throws out everything we have known in the last 4 books and makes everything far more convoluted than makes sense. I think by occam's razor that it not being the stormfather simply makes more sense.
  7. Unless there was funny business going on. I have seen people speculate that Ishar was messing with the connection perhaps or something along those lines. This replacing of the oathpact is also odd. How would the stormfather know whether this was even possible. He did not yet know how strong an unchained bondsmith is.
  8. It's more like: Book One- Gavilar? Book Two- Gaivilar?!? Book Three- Gavilar ??? Book Four- Storm this Gavilar guy!!!!??? Book Five- Ahh Gavilar!!
  9. Many people have been wondering whether the stormfather we see is he. Some of the behavior/appearance is strange. Which means that information that he gives us may be unreliable. Can we also stop for a minute to appreciate that Gavilar was far less competent than he thought that he was? It was so good to watch him be oblivious to all of the wonderful secrets playing out around him.
  10. STORMLIGHT RUSTIN 5 PROLOGUE!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. If it's just a game well that's exciting for some, but I hope that it's something a bit more substantial. The hype demands it.
  12. Is that definitive. I did not see the stream. He expressly ruled out a film in a clear and straightforward way?
  13. If it is SH 2 then I want to know how this is possible. With what eldritch deity did he make a deal?
  14. He was killed, but the shard was splintered. This prevents anyone from being able to pick it up in its current form.
  15. There's also speculation that we could be looking at either another mistborn game or tv show.
  16. What did he do? The man terrifies me!!
  17. When you make bets how high the kickstarter will go. When one of the highlights of your year is getting a shout out from brandon on a livestream!
  18. On most of these points I don't think that we can say much of anything. Point 1) * The cast of Stormlight Archive is still alive.- Maybe though doubtful. We know that there are people that Sig cares about, but honestly that could be anybody not necessarily our cast of characters. Point 2) * Roshar still exists and people still live their in abundance.- Likely as well, but honestly the excerpts that we have don't tell us much about this. Point 3) * Despite this something bad happened.- The most likely of these though that's not a real revelation. Point 4) * Wit still works as Wit.- We have literally no evidence one way or the other all that we know is that Sig calls Hoid Wit which says nothing about hisn current status. Point 5) * They fix the BAM situation is resolved and Deadeyes are fixed.- We have no basis to say this Auxiliary is such a mystery there is not much to be derived from it. Point 6) * The connections that Ishar creates are not permanent.- I'm not even sure what you mean.
  19. I did think that you were running for a broader view, though the specific period that you note is rather relevant now that you mention it.
  20. Like Trutharchivist I have been religious from birth, and it really is a large part of my identity. Growing up in the U.S. as I did makes things interesting to say the least. I never wanted to make a fuss and being religious while still "fitting in" was part of how I lived my day to day. I have a couple of religious jewish friends IRL who are Sanderfans, but there have been times when I have felt the need to tread carefully on the shard and not draw attention to myself because of how dicey religion can get. For the record Truth that would be awesome! I would drop money for that. I have not knowingly had the privilege of interacting with atheists. I have dealt with people of many backgrounds and religions and from what I have seen I have been viewed positively. In many ways I think that being religious has opened my mind to actually seeing others. Personally, I feel as though I am as sensitive as I am because history(as Truth indicates it's a long story) and because of my religious upbringing. At times it has given me a language in which I can talk to others about universal truths (ask me sometime about some of my experiences in university) and at others it has made me feel as though being myself could end badly. There are many masks that I have felt that I had to wear because of how complex this can be. Living in the U.S, as a religious jew and living in Israel as a religious jew are two vastly different experiences. In the U.S. it was part of my identity, but it was less of a statement about who I am. In Israel as Truth said a political dimension definitely exists to being religious and your flavor tends to make things more interesting still. While fundamental things are a point of agreement one of the main flash points is as Truth said how one relates to the state. Complexity is the name of the game. Though Truth as I'm only an oleh chadash maybe my mind will change. There are times when I feel like people just don't listen. God is sometimes the only one who I think is willing to listen. Sometimes I just talk knowing that at least now I'm being listened to.
