That's what I get for coming in so late to the game (bought OB in Nov but didn't get to reading the full series until May time). Hope somethings happening soon!

I missed the Oathbringer tour when it came in 2017 and have since been awaiting information for upcoming details. Hoping that their is a signing someplace since I'm so gutted about missing the previous ones after becoming a fan so late in the game and I'd love the opportunity to meet him. Anyone else hoping for some dates in other countries that have been missed?

I read physical books whenever I can. There is nothing at all like the feeling off a new book held in your hands with that new book smell, sitting in your back garden in the middle of summer reading a big chunk of a Sanderson novel (yes, I did this last year with Stormlight). I use ebooks on the train because its so confined I simply don't have the space to carry anything else. Seeing my Oathbringer, Name of the Wind and Earthsea books all piling up next to each other in hardback is something that I won't ever get rid of.

Stormlights world is richer and it is truly Brandon at the top of his game. Mistborn is just a fun ride and Hero of Ages is the best ending to the first trilogy.

Yeah! Usually have to say "just doodling" without dumping 6 Mistborn books on their desk!

So a while ago I lost my job, I did something (innocently) stupid. Nothing bad, just not in line with the job but it was enough for me to be jobless and spiral into depression. I had the constant support of the family and girlfriend but i had to move between jobs. I got another job in the same line of work that I wholeheartedly want to put my time and effort into. This is the first time that I actually feel comfortable after a year in the place. I managed to buy a MacBook and PS4 Pro with my bonus and I've just been comfortably living. I know it's not much but it's helping me see that I can provide better for my partner and that's just all I want in life really. Hoping that I can stick this out because I feel I need to do better for my soon-to-be family

After everything Sanderson has managed, I always seem to let it pass by that he has created numerous languages and names for an entire universe with more to come.

I agree that they are made of a different base metal however I currently believe it is one we have yet to see. I believe that the origin of these is something that we have yet to see and will be a big reveal. It may be later in the series with a *crossover* but I see it playing a big factor later on.

It's only 1% but seeing the bar is good progress!

I noticed that I've been doodling Mistborn glyphs on my sheet of paper instead of my actual work!

I can only echo what everyone else is saying in the thread but I'd like to say hi! I wish I was at the stage where I was reading the Cosmere in full for the first time but each re-read provides another secret anyway! Have fun and look out for the tiny details that keep popping up. What's your favourite so far? Mistborn or Stormlight?? Keep us posted!

That's exactly what has happened. I see people greatly recommending this series as one of the best but I just could not get into the first book at all! Maybe I'll try it again and it will click with me and i'll be on another long journey but I can't even bring myself to pick it up. Is that bad??

I didn't think that it would be something I'd liked but it's such a great animated fantasy series.

Yeah it gets brought up in TFE a lot that Kelsier wants his ego to be known. He visits the skaa plantations and tenements to show he is the Survivor. He faces The Lord Ruler blatantly showing that he is the one he could not kill. I am hope. He wants to be known for the right reasons, although they can be executed wrongly. His whole crew is a master of deception, they work in the shadows but Kelsier goes out his way to show people he is The Lord of the Mists. I'll admit that it's a good theory but I don't think that this connection will come to light.

I remember reading Uzumaki as my first Junji Ito works and being so in awe and creeped out by a simple spiral pattern. Probably one of the, if not the only, series that has genuinely creeped me out.

I realised that only after trying to find carp scales!

I reaaaaaally want people to change my mind of this but I read half of Robin Hobb's Assassin's Apprentice and could not get into Fitz as a character however I feel I would like the series. I just did not like the depressing views and the story itself but I did try Way of Kings once, got to the 10th chapter and put it down and now it's my favourite series.

This series is the storming best!

My Cosmere re-read is coming along nicely. Finished White Sand, Elantris and Mistborn: The Final Empire. Also read The Emperor's Soul and am now reading Well of Ascension. I've also started I Am Hero manga and am also on the lookout for some great fantasy/horror books or preferably manga series.

Still slowly mastering (hahaha, not really) Sekiro. I've never been good at the Soulsborne games but I feel that I can manage to best this one. I'm hoping to get it finished so that I can buy Days Gone on release. I tried to finish Anthem but Sekiro just sucked me right in. I'm also looking for recommendations on good RPG games for Gameboy/Colour/Advance or Nintendo DS.

I'm watching Deadly Class. One of my favourite comics and The Russo Brothers have a pretty good adaption here! Also slowly going through The Dragon Prince Season 2 but i'm always on the look out for new anime/tv shows to watch!

Their list is quite varied from Twilight to Iron Man 3. Their films are popular and have a good budget. They also do Valiant Comics and X-O Manowar is one of my favourite titles. They definitely know their audience and I feel, any studio, with the quality and the backing can be successful in any adaptation.

I have tried, and tried, and tried, and tried, to get my other half to read Sanderson but no. It's demeaning. Not that she dislikes him, she doesn't have the capacity to pick up a book

I'll be glad to see more Kelsier, I feel he has a bigger part in the overall Cosmere, but i'd much rather he didn't try to "sneak" his self anywhere. I don't believe Kelsier would try and hide his identity. He wants people to know who he is, what he does and why he does it.
