There still would be a cost for hemalurgy I don’t think it’s be the same for kelsier since he did hold preservation. If you wanted to gain allomantic powers you’d still have to sacrifice someone’s spirit who had said power to someone who didn’t. What confuses me is the cross blending uses from the three strains (ferris,alloy, hemo) because that’s how you break the “ferochemists can only use their own metal minds” thing. So would you even really need all 16 spikes to fully nail a soul or just the proper metal spike..

Right but at this point I don’t think there are space ships so to world hope you need to go through and exit through one.. unless I’m mistaken on how world hopping works too and that wouldn’t be a surprise but kinda like how the Rosharan system has several planets with perpendicularities. Kel didn’t need to pass through one since he was in the cognitive realm already. I’m sorry that I’m not articulating this right.

Right I didn’t think he was in spooks body. Just that they spiked kel in a new body... or his old body preserved . And yeah probably the closest point with a perpendicularity between Scadrial and Sel

I’ll have to find it but it’s just the way they talked about the lord ruler still being around (spook?) and them leaving the bands behind as an artifact. I’d assumed kel got a body (probably a damaged body... covered in scars) i took a little leap in thought too from Kelsiers side story about how he traveled off world to the waystation where he stole the gem housing part of preservation. I presumed he’d just travel again unknowing that’s what he was doing once he got a body to find the 17th shard again which is why I thought he would be Mraize. Found the 17th shard found them distasteful and created the gb as a counter to them

Is this confirmed? WoB? Because the way bands of morning ended leads me to a different conclusion.

Well I’m just speculating here but the way to unlock a oath broken blade would be the same process of unlocking ferochemical metals.

After thinking about it and rereading mistborn and words of radiance I’ve come to the conclusion that Mraize is Kelsier. When I compile the evidence I’ll get back to you all.

Maybe but you have to remember that the early tribal people from the home archipelago depended on wayfarers and the wayfarers depended on trappers to provide mind hiding Aviar . The point in time in which Mraize gets his Aviar would have been in the more tribal days. Also that’s irrelevant because the perpendicularly was on patji right where the densest cluster of patji’s finger grew and where the Aviars flock to. Why risk the dangers of the island when you walk out of the perp into a gold mine.

I only presume his Aviar is the mind hiding kind because I now believe Sixth of the Dusk happens at a later period and the most common aviar for the more primitive sea faring folk would be the mind shading ones. Mraize doesn’t strike me as the type to have pomp and flair with out a practical and expedient purpose. Also I don’t think the ghost bloods would purposely draw that kind of attention to themselves. If his Aviar does have let’s say the talent to nullify investiture that would be extremely useful if trying to acquire a hotly contested shard. Lots of ifs...lots of waiting to see if questions ever get fully answered

Next big question then. Why does Mraize need to hide his presence on Roshar to that extreme.
