Finished Calamity. I think this was my favorite of the Reckoners trilogy. Don't really have much to say here. Now I'm going onto Alcatraz Versus The Dark Talent

Can't wait to see, hear, Brandon again! This will be my second tour, though I wish he would come closer to Dallas. Books I'm probably going to bring are Steelheart and Firefight (got one of the pre-signed Calamity copies a couple years back) and I'm thinking of getting Legion while there so two new books at once for me.

Okay, I talked with my mom and she had forgotten about the signing so we're going to delay Marceline for the week after since we're on vacation anyway. The whole time I kept trying to figure out how to do both that same week and thanksgiving itself (I'm not a big thanksgiving person to be honest) kept getting in the way since I didn't realize we had vacation the following week.

Okay, I might not be able to go because my mom wants to go to Marceline Missouri, the hometown of Walt Disney, that week.

@TheOrlionThatComesBefore You might want to give Calamity a chance. I didn't like Firefight either, might be Brandon's weakest book, but I'm currently enjoying Calamity a whole lot more than the first two. I'm also trying to figure out if he's going to write Skyward 3 after finishing Skyward 2 or if he'll just go with W&W4 like he planned. I wouldn't might if he delayed Skyward 3 until he gets his 'break' during Stormlight 4, and by break I mean when he's waiting for the revisions from Tor, editors and proofreaders and when he's finally done with release coming soon.

Went to B&N and grabbed Power Rangers Lost Chronicles 1, Power Rangers Archive 1, MST3K Volumes 36-38. Love the Power Rangers comics and glad to be getting closer to finishing MST3K since this is now 55/176 episodes

@8giraffe8 typically it's 3 books, not counting the new book, but once everyone is through Brandon will sign any additional books if there's time. If you're going to Napierville you should check Anderson's Books website to check the details of the event. As for me I'm thinking of bringing Steelheart and Firefight to sign. Thinking of getting Legion at the same time so getting that signed there.

And when you think about it what seems more likely: Spook spiking a random guy just so Kelsier can have a body or spiking a baby, maybe one of his own children, maybe a stillborn which wouldn't even have a soul to inhabit the body? I mean even with him doing his experiments with Hemalurgy I doubt he would use anyone but himself for that unless he's more mad scientist than we all thought.

Seeing as that was from the POV of Suit and he himself died in the explosion we can't say for sure if the red eyed man died since it was Suit himself believing the man died (not the first time we've had information be 'false'since we've had characters give us false info because that's what they believed)

Maybe the red eyed people from BOM are dragons? Dragons are immortal and can shapeshift, in other words they are Faceless Immortals.

@Messydesk Well we've never really seen a case of possession being used in the Cosmere (Shard manipulation not counting here) but if we use context from other books we can explain the scars. Usually when someone heals or has the ability to look like their ideal there are some things that stay (Kaladin's brands not healing, Vasher seeing himself as a scruffy looking man) so whatever method was used it probably transferred the scars onto the new body because the scars became part of his identity. But I'm also wondering this: did he use the body of a grown man or a newly born body? After all he didn't appear to the Southerns until about 30 years after the Ice Death (if I'm remembering the dates right) which would be the right amount of time for his soul/spirit/shade to attach to a babies body and grow up.

I wonder if he would be thrilled or weirded out with the populace and Kandra opinions of him You know with Kelsier being alive because of Hemalurgy it makes you wonder just how ridiculously powerful it is. I mean Harmony couldn't use the combined power of Preservation and Ruin to bring Vin and Elend back and yet Hemalurgy brought Kelsier back to the physical realm from the cognitive realm. This method needs to be explored/explained in The Lost Metal or if not then in Era 3 or Secret History 2

I just hope we get an update to the Scadrian Arcanum since the W&W ones haven't updated over the course of the books and if they did it didn't update much

I imagine we'll mostly get our information on them through the letters of Stormlight, Ars Arcanum references from Khriss and whatever they're doing in Dragonsteel (that's going to be neat seeing Aona, Skai and Uli Da before their deaths and seeing what Leras, Ati, Rayse, Tanavast, Edgli, Bavadin and Cultivation (hope we get a name for her in Stormlight 4) before they got their Shards. Would be disappointed if we only met them one chapter before the Shattering)

I sure hope Spook isn't alive. I don't particularly like him that much, his story annoyed me more than anything, but could you imagine how p*ssed the Kandra would be upon seeing him. I mean Melaan is the most chill of them and she didn't approve of his experiments at all so could you imagine what her exact opposite would react? I imagine most of the population would treat him pretty well if they knew he was alive since the general populace reveres him like a god.

@Calderis Having the Svrakiss involved makes sense for why Elantris 2 & 3 need to be done before Era 3. I kind of went to that jump because Svrakiss are more a Fjorden thing and not an Aonic or Rose Empire thing so she's done something with Sel which would put her World count at 2 (Taldain and Sel) with Scadrial being the third confirmed world she's going after.
