Nice! I have never noticed that. Here, take an upvote and a cookie (extra healthy with lots of Fe in it).

Paliah works for Navani as ardent. (Rushu, I think???)
-
I think it's because of connection. Spren is STRONGLY connected to Radiant, so lashing would be easy for him. It is like lashing yourself when full of investiture.

And make Aletkar absolutely unable to do anything? She is the smartest person all around. You do NOT need bunch of "I know better than you!" people when trying Not to destroy a kingdom... Democracy is not smart. It is just modern and popular. Better than tyrany, but much, much worse than absolutistic monarchy with caring and strong monarch... Edit: She is not young Elend.

It would not be weightless. It would still act by Newton's laws. And about that instinct lashing... What about summoning it while already halflashed? Do you need to lash again?

Shallan and Adolin's wedding gifts from Cosmere characters
NoiseSpren replied to Messydesk's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Marasi would give them a book about murders and other crimes in married couples and give looong advice how to avoid that. Tanavast would jump out of the cake and shout "April you fools, I am alive all the time!!!" Wayne would teach Shallan how to steal accents. Lopen would stick Adolin to the wall and court Shallan to be king of Aletkar again without realizing, that Adolin is potential heir, and not Shallan. Chasmfiend would passionately ki(ss/ll) both of them. -
So, when Kaladin falls for example skyward (oh, yeah!), his Sylblade wants to fall downward when sumonned. I don't think so. In that case, you would fall down when halflashing yourself upward because of shardblade. It would be Very Hard to fight in air like that. It does'nt make any sense. No, it is because of enchanting streng AND repairing.

Ash fell from the skies. OH, WHAT?! WHY WOULD ASH FALL FROM THE SKIES? I think Ash is Lightweaver and not Windrunner. Why would some herald of Almighty fall from the skies on Scandrial. I don't get this, please explain it to me. And why it seems normal to them? Do they have falling heralds on daily schedule? And why nobody noticed this? It IS clearly refference to other book series in time the series was NOT YET WRITTEN!!! So tell me why didn't you paid attention?

Lesser spren for president!!!

If Renarin used psychical version of lightweaving and Dalinar of tension, would Kaladin use personal gravitation to pull people toward him and kohesion to keep them? It Iooks like that...

Somethink like first iron man suit with complexness of later ones looking like knight armor.

Mraizes role and the powers of his Aviar
NoiseSpren replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
Sixth of the Dusk is way longer after OB than anything. I think that special aviars are something new there. Mraize has normal aviar. -
That was beautifully described.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
NoiseSpren replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you read You Know You're a Sanderfan When... because you don't want to be only Sander-freak in all the world. I have watches with two small blue lights. I occasionally light them up and breathe in at the moment they stop glowing. -
Ask Axelius Anything* (AKA Sanderson vs. Tolkien Duel)
NoiseSpren replied to Sherlock Holmes's topic in AMAs
Adonalsium. He is splintered. Eru is WHOLE. They are GODS: same power. So power of anybody else does'nt matter. Valar aren't (I love Tolkien, but sorry) as strong as Shards. They created planet, yes. But there were over dozen of them, I think. Eru can destroy Shards one by one or together. It doesn't matter. He is sixteen times stronger than them and knows perfectly how to use his power + he is not limited by intents + he has no cooperation problems + he has Ainur. We do NOT know their numbers, but Valar are only some of them. And I am considering all Shards whole! Tolkien wins. No doubts, no discussions. In case that Adonalsium is whole, he invites Eru on drink. Battle over guys. Edit: y≠i -
I think that dreams Dalinar have are part of bigger game from : Adonalsium/ (=?) God beyond/ Cultivation. We killed you! is probably about Adonalsium. "I forgive you" was Evi from beyond, I think.
-
Dalinar is the best. But I voted for Evi. Because: She raised Adolin and Renarin. Both of them were adepts! She is simply good. She married Dalinar when he was an cremhole brute (I love that Dalinar) and she deserves credit for that. And she was Dalinars wife, guys.

Nightblood Taught Odium How To Kill Heralds
NoiseSpren replied to Leuthie's topic in Stormlight Archive
From highstorm and Scandrialan mist? -
My thought: was Nazh able to hurt Kel with his silver knife? = Is silver capable of killing cognitive shadow that is not from Threnody?

Brandon said that cohesion is much more difficult on an invested object than lashing that object.
-
Agree. But he was not ditectly messing their lives (dreams etc.).

[OB] Oathbringer quotes to remember
NoiseSpren replied to Necessary Eagle's topic in Stormlight Archive
"Don't wear it out gancho." -
This can mean only one thing because this is Brandon. There will be some way bigger chaos-maker. For example in WoT after Ishamaels death other great Forsaken appeared on screen. In bigger numbers. Ps: I know that WoT wrote Jordan (most of it), but I think this will be similar.

contest [OB] There is no way Dalinar could loose if ....
NoiseSpren replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Stormlight Archive
The champion thing is over. Odium is doing Sadeas-like stuff. "Yes, I will fight. Sometime in the future..." So it is about war now. Odium is out of direct game. He has to not intervene directly. So they must to eliminate Unmade and Voidbringers. And keep humanity alive. And solve the Herald problem...
