Neutral ideas for what I want from the next book(s)

Illusions are so far the greatest military advantage any KR could offer. Sun Tzu would go mad with joy having Shallan in army... -

Nightblood talking with Odium and Cultivation. -
I wanted to say it may be part of why she is uninterested. Not Only And Sole Reason. Like, I think it has to be more complex (Hey! That's Brandon writing the story!) than just: "Oh, thanks, I am just uninterested, brightlords." This sounds more like something of the "Pride and prejudice" book group.

Is it possible that Jasnah is still single partly because of some event? I mean she was potentially raped in her youth. That could (read: must) build some mental blocks. And her mental illness probably. Poor little Jasnah.

Szeth-Nightblood-Vasher-Viviena "WHAT THE HELL?!!!" scene. Kelsier on Roshar. So I can die in peace. Sazed meeting Dalinar. Hoid getting hit by a shardblade/shardplate/chasmfiend/thundercast and just being Hoid during that. Mr. T. dying. More Evi flashbacks (Renarin POV?) Kandra recognized. Kal on fifth ideal being Most Badass Ever. -
"Why I don't like Adolin" / "Why I do like Adolin"
NoiseSpren replied to Ixthos's topic in Stormlight Archive
He isn't. And he is. In my country (Czech Rep.) history, we have a king. He is the King of our history. We all love him. He seeked peace, was elected as the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, built first university in Middle Europe. He was pious and our nation had golden age then. And when he was young he raided northern Italy. When he became king he had hundreds of Jews mercilessly slaughtered to get money. Then he used the bloody money to improve things he is now praised for. He was like Adolin: very good guy. With dark side. Not perfect, but helpful. And bad in some way. -

Adolin - Dancing on the Edge of being an Edgedancer

No. Sadeas was great bad guy. And he died alone, in desperation and without glory. Great end for villian. I like it. He deserved it because of being such a good villian. -
Was Odium permanently ‘maimed’ by Dominion?
NoiseSpren replied to Fanghur Rahl's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yes, that sort of thing. -
Seems rational.

Lots of investiture floating in space, but main "body" of shard is spiritual/cognitive. So nearest planets with life forms have troubles with wild investiture soaking from CR into PR. (see Shadows for Silence) Edit: bits of investiture will eventualy gain sentinence. (see "the Devil") -
[OB] Kaladin & Jasnah: the case for Political Marriage
NoiseSpren replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
Ok, I am back. I meant pressure in certain situations. Jasnah is Rock-Iron-Steel-Woman, and Desolation was something she prepared for. I merely say I think she has "areas of mind" (poor, stupid english, cannot express myself) where she can crash like Kal after Elhokars death. Ok, ok, ok. The munching in shadow took me one night. -

[OB] Kaladin & Jasnah: the case for Political Marriage
NoiseSpren replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes. Point is that I don't see her to overcome it easily. Like ot is going to be tough time for her. Whole thing was reaction on @Sedside. The "pragmatic Jasnah". And Jasnah is not person with good mental health. And unstable means for me: Unable to endure mental pressure in certain situations while others (like everybody else - nearly) would just continue going without bigger problems. More situations ruin you like that - more unstable you are. -

Means we agree (cca). Only the definition of "unstable" is problem. But that isn't of any importance. Glad to see that. -
[OB] Kaladin & Jasnah: the case for Political Marriage
NoiseSpren replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
Shallan, Kaladin and Dalinar do great work of controling their emotions. I can name "plenty of examples". They are unstable (well, Dad is probably better after end of OB, but still...). I believe you made great thinking there, but I am too lazy for that. My bad. Edit: for other arguments you had: Kal often realizes his mistakes. He is unstable. Caring and loving? Dear, that has nothing to do with stability. Don't take me wrong. I deeply love Jasnah. I think she is great personality. She IS loving, caring etc. I merely say she is unstable. -
[OB] Kaladin & Jasnah: the case for Political Marriage
NoiseSpren replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
Highly There are many indicators in her POVs. (example the chapter when she reads Talns crazy speech. Second word after the text from Taln. Sorry, but stable person would be different. And there are more.) Do not be like Ivory. Be like Jasnah. Sorry, but Jasnah is as crazy and unstable as Kal, Dad or Shallan (ok, not as much as Shallan). Edit: Suprised you haven't noticed... -
[OB] Kaladin & Jasnah: the case for Political Marriage
NoiseSpren replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
She isn't pragmatic enough to pass her fathers murder. She is highly emotionally unstable so there are going to be troubles for Szeth. Poor, poor shin. -
Brandon said that. This case? K/Q pronunciation is similar, I think. But good point, Aster.

Vin doesn't use Kelsiers metal storm in 1v1 combat. She kills with daggers. Not much effective. She could hit him with pewter... That is like shardplate. Ok, but Szeth was hit in his storming face with shardplate... He healed rather quickly. Kal is better than Szeth then. She could coinshot him. He can lash himself multiple times = he would be so "heavy" she woul fly away. Very far away. She could KO him with duralium. Ok, but she is without metals short period of time after that. Kal could KO her with shardblade - there are no weaknesses using it. So advantages duralium = shardblade. Or not. Shardblade is better. I am saying this because many people made good points why Vin would win. But KAL IS PRETTY damnation OP TOO. Vin without mist-boosting: no Lord Ruler kill, no 13 steels kill, no L. R.'s palace destroyed... Kal in OB would mop sky with her. Rest of fights? Vin, but only because Vin's progress is in three books. Kal is only on beginning of his arc. Fair would be: Vin end of book one vs Kal end of book two. Vin book three vs Kal OB. THE QUESTION IS: WHY DO THEY FIGHT??? AND WHERE??? That decides everithing. And Vin is hardly cosmere Jesus. Scandrial maybe... But cosmere? Don't make me laugh... Not going to continue this thread. Probably

The Ten Orders: How They do Everyday Things
NoiseSpren replied to little wheel's topic in Stormlight Archive
Meeting strange alien race. Windrunner: Makes the thing his squire. Or kills it instantly to protect his planet. In that case he spends next day silently weeping. Skybreaker: Finds reason to put the thing in jail. He has great excuse when the alien race complains and it's almost as safe as killing it. Dustbringer: Greets the thing warmly. Then finds it's ship, disassembles it quietly and learns about it as much as possible. Then reports the alien to bondsmith. Edgedancer: Makes the alien his friend. Then takes it to get to know everybody. Then visits aliens planet and befriends them all. Truthwatcher: Learns about the alien, its home planet and race everything without leaving his room. Then uses all the informations on his own. Lightweaver: Hides from the alien, infiltrates its ship and secretly visits its planet. Then steals the ship (read "boots") and goes home. Elsecaller: Meets the alien, then teleports on its planet and learns EVERYTH!NG. Then starts political machinations on the planet. Willshaper: " Borrows" its ship for some time. Then travels whole cosmere. About thirty years later returns home with Map and couple of useful informations. And tons of stories to tell. Stoneward: Without hesitation reports alien sighting to bondsmith. Then leaves for free day full of sparring and military training with other stonewards. Bondsmith: Forges an aliance with alien leader after learning their language in matter of seconds. Then finds out if they can bond spren.
