  1. "Then don't waste a perfectly last goodbye." Yzabet said, smiling. "Make it memorable. I don't understand what you're doing, and if I did I probably wouldn't approve, but I want this to be memorable." She took a step towards him NO YOU DON'T IT TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH TO GET OVER HIM and held out her arms for an embrace.
  2. "And.... And what should I do?" Yzabet didn't mean to say it out loud. This wasn't something that she should meddle in. She didn't want to be near Rhazien if it turned out the way that he feared, and she didn't have the powers to change anything. "No, forget that." She clinched the ring tightly -she'd look at it later - and moved away from Rhazien. "I'll go my own way. I always have." Her eyes met his, and she could sense his sadness.
  3. "Oh." Yzabet said very quietly as she looked at the ring in her hand. "That's, that's a lot."
  4. Yzabet took a moment to regain her sense of gravity, then looked him in the eyes. She laid her hand on a large tree. Narrative imperative dictated that a door should've opened in the trunk of the tree, revealing a secret hide-out. Instead, she used the majority of her Stormlight to encourage the tree to grow. Branches curled and wove into a high ceiling, and twigs wove into a loose wall. It was more of a tree-y cave than a room, but it would do. "Here."
  5. "Let us down and we can walk from here!" She called, still doubting.
  6. "You're explaining to me what in the name of the Nightwatcher is going on as soon as we land!" She called out, still not sure if she wanted to be angry or not.
  7. "Fly as close to the ground as you can so that we aren't seen. Once we get to that stream, follow its course." Yzabet instructed after some time flying.
  8. Yzabet pointed north-east. "That way."
  9. Yzabet made her whole body slick, and the stone passed over her.
  10. Yzabet only took a moment to be confused by the animal that had taken the brunt of the rock.
  11. Yzabet had managed to cut out rough stone "shoes". Jael shrunk to a knife and Yzabet hacked away at her feet. Nearly there....
  12. Yzabet started cursing very, very loudly in Horneater. She then began hacking at the ground with Jael, frantically trying to get out.
  13. Yzabet grunted as she was suddenly stopped, her ribs groaning treacherously. She couldn't breath from the impact of hitting - was that sand? Yzabet slashed at it with Jael, still frantically trying to regain her breath.
  14. Yzabet hesitated. She could feel her emotions being stretched in two different directions at once, but the main one was confusion. Yzabet faltered. She didn't know what was right or wrong, and this was when she needed to know.... Listen to me. You came here to find Rhazien, confront him, and do whatever was necessary. Kill him. Kiss him. Leave him be. He is collecting Investiture systems for a reason that we don't know, but we can't make a decision until he explains everything to us. Your choice, of course. Jael's calm voice of reason pierced through the indecision. Yzabet made her decision, trying to think logically rather than trusting her rampant emotions. "I have a small saferoom in a town a few miles over. We'll get there and then you tell me everything." She cut through the wall rather than confront her enemies - she still didn't know if they were in the right, and didn't want to kill them - and began to run wildly.
  15. Yzabet immediately noticed the change in her emotions. She felt..... confident. Loyal. Courageous. And confused. He was using Allomancy on her? "Yes. But you have to explain all of this later."
  16. Yzabet stepped back. Rhazien was glowing, but..... Voidlight. "I..... we'll talk about this later." She brandished her sword in one hand and Jael (as a shield) in the other, ready to face whatever she needed to. Do you want Shardplate yet? No. I'll need to get out of here fast."
  17. Jael formed into a shield. She blocked the sand as Yzabet stood over Rhazien. This just got dangerous, far more dangerous that she thought that it would. Increasing Abrasion on the outside of her feet and decreasing it on the inside, Yzabet dragged Rhazien as she skated across the courtyard. She didn't know what she was doing anymore, but this was it, apparently.
  18. There were, all of the sudden, people. LOTS of people. This wasn't good. "Rhazien, we're going right now." Yzabet insisted, grabbing his arm through the crowd and dragging him towards her. With her right hand she drew her sword from her belt - not Jael, but a normal bastard (hand-and-a-half) sword.
  19. Yzabet stood still, recovering from the outburst, then spoke slowly. "I..... I'm not sure that you need to do this. It's not as big as you think it is." Or maybe it was. That's not why you are here, Yzabet. Yzabet shifted her posture to something more confident. "No, you won't do any of that. You're a good person, and you don't need to do this." Storms, I don't know how to respond to this. Any of this. I don't know what I'm saying anymore. What do I need to say? What does he need to hear? "You're coming with me before you do something drastic and stupid. I'm not letting you do this. You aren't well. You're coming now." She hadn't meant to put so much force behind it. Rhazien was scaring her. She was used to the fluctuating, wild temper, but this felt different. She needed to take him somewhere safe, for both of them.
