  1. I feel like andolnasium is the god beyond power of creation. Given Brandon's religious background and the fact that we know the beyond is essentially his way of having a religious afterlife that isn't explored or story heavy, it makes sense that perhaps Adonalsium is just the god beyond's power.
  2. I am curious to know if metal burn speed matters, would a tin misting be better suited for night blood because his metal burns more slowly compared to say a pewter misting?
  3. Ah, i forgot about the blood needed, I bet it would still be possible though? I wonder if Ichor Alcohol (that's what they used to keep the lifeless alive right?) works like blood with a spike? Also what would happen to a lifeless spiked with Feruchemical gold? Spiritual healing has to be weird when it comes to a spiritless body with a piece of a spirit stapled in.
  4. And going further than that, could you make a Frankenstein type lifeless by adding pieces of a soul to them? Would a soulless but alive body be more or less receptive to pieces of a "living" soul?
  5. It is a very interesting question, however due to the Dor not actually being a cognitive entity (originally) I feel that they won't synthesize. If the Dor had been created in the cognitive realm due to Cognitive thought that would be a different story. However if the land is becoming self aware I feel that way in the future the Dor/Land hybrid may force them all together and create a universal Selish system, if that makes sense.
  6. @Phaedra Yulahnis yeah but renarin still wears clothes right? It doesn't have to be a skirt
  7. Ah I see now, yeah that probably is plausible, at the very least they would be able to store more of their natural abilities and lean on the aura to make up for it if that makes sense, and I have been wondering what would happen to an awakener storing in nicrosil.
  8. Nice! You should think of a question related to Steel dancer to ask him, Also pewter may be needed to help balance out the combo
  9. Is it not aluminium that unkeys the investiture? Nicrosil stores the ability to use specific investiture. I don't think a Ferring could store a biochromatic aura. Edit: a windwhisperer might be able to
  10. They would gain the ability to hold stormlight yes but I think they would actually need stormlight to gain the effects. What if a savant stored into a Nicrosil mind? Like would a tin savant grant someone else the effects of the savantism or just regular old tin?
  11. @Sheridan_rd I am not sure, that's good question actually. Would it store the ability to hold storm light, or would it store the nahel bond? And if it was storing the Nahel Bond how does that affect the spren? Brandon has said that anybody can awaken as long as they have breath and that it is the most accessible magic system. Spoiled for length
  12. No we have a WoB that anybody could receive breath and then use it to awaken I and on my phone so I can't find it at the moment
  13. @bleeder yeah but she was able to sense the storage just not burn it due to it being keyed to sazed. If that was the case compounding would be way less useful/impossible And @QuantumSpren if they had unlimited investiture to draw on I image they would be able to hit the natural speed limit of the universe. The big issue wit seel compounding is that friction would eventually kill them but if you can remove that I imagine they could hit lightspeed. But I am not a an expert on these things I am just guessing.
  14. But metal minds aren't harder to burn, just harder to push/pull. That Rafo makes me believe that either he wasn't sure of the tip of his head when asked or that we will see it in the futire and it will have an important role to play in the comsmere. I see no reason he would not have told us if it was a straight forward answer.
  15. I am Brandon Sanderson. But seriously I wish I was. Now I am thinking about how I am not Sanderson and I am really sad :/
  16. How neat! I was actually asking for simplification on the Computer side of the post, I get the perpetual motion and heat storing concepts. The clarification on Maxwell's Demon is nice as well! Thanks guys!
  17. That is an interesting question about marsh and I would love to hear what sanderson says about that! In the case of someone else using his unkeyed tinmind: I would argue that since ferchemy works by storing incrementally that they would receive a normal boost to their vision. Marsh would be storing vision (which might or might not affect him) then somebody else would come along and tap the vision trait stored with in. It's not storing His sight, just the strength of his sight
  18. First off nice post @ccstat! Secondly @Extesian I have always thought that megaspren that axies investigates meshes well with the first oath of the edge dancers. No proof really just amother gut feeling, but I feel you are on to something there
  19. We know you could burn a pike but it would have negative implications. I agree, the amout of investiture shouldn't affect if it's burnable but it might not be compatible with metallic arts due to not being connected harmony/ruin/preservation. The fact the investiture is partially "alive" or sapient might actually be the biggest barrier there.
  20. Can you simplify that for me please?
  21. I definitely think there is going to be more to allomantic computers than just copper minds though, I guess zinc is a possibility to act like a processor?
