  1. I'm not quite sure about the pewter letting them compound that much, however I imagine it would facilitate while burning, I'm thinking perhaps healing would be necessary after the fact. Gold compounding would probably hamper the effect as it would try and revert your body back to what it was before compounding the pewter, perhaps even to a crippled state due to you associating yourself as a weak person for so long. That being said I'm not sure if this has been asked of brandon or discussed elsewhere, so I could be wrong
  2. Hey everybody, I know this stuff is probably easy to find and I am not trying to use you guys as my personal Wiki, but I was wondering if anybody can help me out. It has been a while since I read Warbreaker and I am unable to search for stuff on line. So any help is appreciated. So endowment lets individuals return, generally to fulfill specific purposes, correct? The returned do not know what their "mission" is until its pretty much time to complete it, correct? Vasher has not fulfilled his yet? Working on a theory and I was trying to think of the answers but couldnt recall any hard info about this stuff.
  3. Thanks for clearing that up! Its actually been a while since i read the Stormlight Archive (excluding Edgedancer) So it is all getting a bit blurry
  4. I hope book 3 gives us info on Voidbinding. Does anybody know if all Voidbringers are a result of Void spren or if there is variance like the KR? Are the Hate Spren the Parshendi use the same as Void Spren? Different? A Red Herring perhaps?
  5. Yeah and like I said earlier I am pretty sure there is a WoB somewhere that states that Roshar is like Shinovar all over, Its just been sculpted and shaped by the high storm crem deposits throughout the years. The more i think about it the more i really like the Invested Crem + Voidspren = Thunderclast theory.
  6. Good point there, I can get behind the Realmatic Phenomenon explanation. And with thunderclasts, I mentioned in another post that all the investiture involved with the High storms may be enough to grant the Crem in the ground a small amount of sapience (like another planet we have seen, granted that other planet is a special case). My thinking is the invested crem is what allows a voidspren to bond with rocks and make a thunderclast. That or perhaps it is a voidbinding surge? Or maybe it is similar to the Nahel bond, but sintead of Blade/Plate its giant evil rocks.
  7. I was under the impression that what ever the voidspren bond with become a different form of voidbringer. And @Pagerunner I like that chasm fiend thought. In WoK Jasnah and Shallan find a drawing of something that looks like a Chasm fiend that is labeled as Voidbringer. Perhaps that is what Voidbinding is? Forcing certain things to undergo different transformations with the bonding of a void spren?
  8. I'm no good at finding them either, but I thought I remember seeing one about how under all the crem Roshar was a more of a normal planet. I am at work right now so I can't search but i will look when i get home. Regardless I am going to stick to the theory that Voidspren can only bond with crem, because it is invested (or closely tied to investiture). Sorry for the crazy theory Will try and back it up later with more proof
  9. Don't Rosharans refer to the layers of crem build up as stone? And wasn't there a WoB where he stated that under everything on Roshar (excluding Shinovar because it is pretty much cremless) there are real "continents" and what not? What if Voidspren need the invested Crem to give rise to Thunderclasts?
  10. Such a fast writer, Like it is unreal. He is actually a little too fast if you ask me Anyways, Can't wait for oathbringer, Thanks for sharing this!

  12. Thanks guys! I do know to avoid the cookies and @Manukos for a long while the era 1 Mistborn trilogy was my favorite (particularly book 3, because who doesn't love sazed?) but I recently got Arcanum Unbounded and I think the Emperor's Soul is actually my favorite now But really its so hard to rank them above each other

  14. Hello all, I am a long time lurker first time poster, and I am looking forward to contributing to this community I have read all of Brandon's published Cosmere works and have a few theories boiling in the back of my mind. I was having trouble creating my account (wouldn't send conformation email) and eventually ended up emailing someone higher up at the website so thank you to who ever fixed the issue I was having (still never got the confirmation email, just checked the shard one day and bam my account was there). Anyways, Looking forward to posting! also @Yata has been one of my favorite posters so far, thanks for being such a knowledgeable Cosmere scholar
