LG 111 - Day 2: The Collapsed Room
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay. So if I’m understanding the rules correctly, if we’re in scenario 2, the odds of me getting my wrong clue (shared between 1 and 3) were about 12% (35% x 1/3). If we’re in scenario 1, the odds of me being right were about 28% (82.5% x 1/3). If we’re in scenario 1, the odds of Star getting the wrong clue were about 6% (17.5% x 1/3). If we’re in scenario 2, then the odds of them getting it right were about 22% (65% x 1/3). So I think Star is much less likely to be wrong here.- 90 replies

LG 111 - Day 2: The Collapsed Room
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, I searched for clues and found a skull with steel spikes in its eyes (a clue shared between 1 and 3). My initial reaction upon seeing that Dive had a role was to go “oh great, elim game.” But it seems I’ve misunderstood something about the rules? I really don’t understand how my clue wouldn’t mean we’re in scenario 1 with all the information we have.- 90 replies

LG111 - Night 1: Justice Undeserved
StrikerEZ replied to coco.pudding's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I’m leaning towards scenario 2/3 as well. Granted, this wouldn’t be the first time an elim team lucked out and let the village go to town all by themselves. But it does seem less likely with the context that we might all just be villagers- 27 replies

LG 111 - Day 1: A Locked House Mystery
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Honestly no idea. I don’t really like the votes on you so I’m keeping my vote on @Frozen Mint. And to answer your question earlier, Mint, it was a poke vote that has turned into a real vote at this point. -
LG 111 - Day 1: A Locked House Mystery
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oh you and me both. There’s a reason I’ve earned the moniker of “Shield of the Lynch.” It happened so often and started so long ago that it was before we switched to using exe. Anyway I think I’m going to leave my vote on Mint for now. I do think others should probably start consolidating votes now. -

Nah you can keep your vote on me if you want. I’ve been playing since 2017. -
LG 111 - Day 1: A Locked House Mystery
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oh that’s a good point about the role thing. Roles do get revealed upon death right? We can theoretically rule out the Kandra if we see a role upon death. Because the only way to die at night in each scenario is by the elim(s)/gun. All that assumes we do get roles upon death though. I’m busy right now so can’t go check the rules. -
LG 111 - Day 1: A Locked House Mystery
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I explored the basement for no particular reason. I do want to point out that we maybe shouldn’t gang up on anyone who is reticent of sharing where they explored N0. I do agree that it is most beneficial for the village, but I can understand the possibility of someone being reluctant there. Granted, that might not even be necessary caveat. For all I know everyone will just come out and share where they explored and we’ll just have to reason out what scenario we ended up in. -
LG 111 - Day 1: A Locked House Mystery
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, so clearly we got scenario 3 and I’m the kandra, so you all can just go ahead and execute me now. The problem we’re facing right now is that no one knows squat about anything. Besides the elims and/or gun guy and/or kandra. Actually I think those are all just or’s. Anyway, I think our best course of action is to proceed as if this is a standard elim game until we get actual info proving otherwise. So, to start things off, I’m going to give a lovely poke vote to Frozen Mint to start us off. Someone’s gotta throw down the first vote. -
LG 111 - Night 0: A Warm Welcome
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Variel had not ventured outside in quite some time. It seemed there were many new people in the town since the last time he had really interacted with anyone outside. Well, best be on with it. He spun around to face the crowd of people before they could disperse. “As a long time resident of this here town,” he said, “I think all of youse people should tell the Mr. Butler fellow to give me the gift. Clearly I am most suited to being bequeathed such an important relic. We wouldn’t want it falling into any…dastardly hands.” With that, Variel turned around to explore this strange house that was totally not haunted.- 27 replies

LG 111:The Third Great Awakening
StrikerEZ replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm at the end of my semester. And I'm going to have like a week and a half break after that. Plus I'm just on-call for my tax internship until August now. So screw it, I'm coming back to SE for a bit. We'll see if I play any other games after this one, but I'm a big fan of Betrayal: House on the Hill, so I am pretty stoked for this game. I'll be Variel, a guy who really likes to wear black clothing and has a funky accent.- 64 replies

Dang. I should’ve stuck with my gut and stayed on Booknewt. Glad I was right about KSauce though. Completely blindsided by TwinStorm though. Good job man! Thank you Aeoryi for running this game! I had fun (even with my limited appearances)

Man you talk a lot Pizza lmao Not a diss, just an observation. You're like a more casual Kas basically. It's neat to have another wall-poster here. Anyway, I think I'm leaning towards Booknewt being innocent now. Also, I could have sworn I had read Twinstorm sussing Book, but maybe I just conflated all of Pizza's posts about Book in my head with Twinstorm somehow. Wouldn't surprise me, since I haven't been putting in the most effort into this game, admittedly. Coder definitely feels village to me, I refuse to vote her out. Iced has got to be an elim at this point. If Iced flips town, then I reevaluate. Probably would go after Aet next. Twinstorm could go either way. Polly and KSacue are extreme neutrals to me. KSauce is Starseeker right? They've been putting in a lot of effort on that RP, but not a whole lot on the game itself. If we exe a villager today, that puts us at LyLo tomorrow. Which is too close to comfort for me, and we really should be focusing more on solving right now than RP. So slight sauce on KSauce actually. Polly is basically MIA, which has me worried. She's an experienced player. Almost wonder if she's intentionally avoiding the thread to let us go at each other's throats. here. -

It was honestly just me thinking out loud. From my perspective you seem very villagery, but I tend to get paranoid about people that seem super villagery to me. That was the whole thought process. And also isn’t Twin also pushing Book? Also this is kind of the best I can do right now. I’ve got more homework today, DCI finals is tonight, and I have two tests to take by end of day Monday. Anyway, Booknewt. -

Okay, anyone got a VC? I could be persuaded to switch my vote to Book. Also, wouldn’t it be wild if Pizza and Twin were elims together? And they’ve just been having fun pretending to be town solvers in thread? Iced is almost certainly elim, but I’m also wondering if he’s just an extremely off-base villager. Kind of want to townread him because he was way quieter when we played elim together a few games back. I could also be persuaded to vote Aet, solely because of vote analysis from D1. -

IcedOutPenguin. Sorry I didn’t get around for rollover. I was doing homework then watching DCI semifinals. I really gotta sleep, but I’m plopping a vote here for now. Likely gonna stay here, but we’ll see. -

Quick Fix 76: Judgement on the Shores of the Purelake
StrikerEZ replied to Aeoryi's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello. I am alive. Barely. I honestly completely forgot about this game. Been working like crazy and have lots of schoolwork this week. I completely didn't realize that this is my last week of the semester, oops. Anyway, I haven't touched D1 at all, but I've read all of D2 so far. Hoid Slayer and Iced are absolutely elims together. Doc, Greebas, and Aeternum are confirmed town in my opinion. CD could be elim, maybe just confused first time villager. Honestly probably more likely to be confused first time villager. Not sure who the third elim would be. Lots of other low-posters out there. My tie-loving heart is sad that the tie has already been thoroughly crushed (I think), so I'm going to vote for Hoid Slayer to insure someone I suspect to be elim is exed. I probably won't be around much after this before rollover, but I'll try to pop back in at least once. -

I was very tempted to bribe you to play with the Spiked Coinshot’s existence lmao

Yeahhhh, I thought it would be fun to try a bit of a different distro. I thought I balanced the elims by giving the village three Thugs, a Lurcher, an Oracle and a Seeker. But the elims managed to make almost all of their shots against non-Thugs and power roles.

Yomen was starting to hate these damn caverns. No matter where he went, he thought he was being followed. That there was a spiked servant of Ruin lurking around the corner, waiting to attack him. He was right. The ground began to shake, more violently than it had in weeks, and someone leapt out of the shadows at him. Yomen burned atium, the tiny bit he had left, and dodged. He subdued his assailant quickly, then went running for his guards. To find the cavern in complete chaos. People were randomly attacking each other. The ceiling was falling all around them. He had to use the atium shadows to avoid several falling stalactites. Others were not so lucky. In the middle of it all were dozens of figures assailing Chanarash, the stranger from another world. She swung about her with that giant sword of hers, and people fell to the ground, their eyes burning in their skulls. Yet the still came at her, over and over again. The woman was glowing, but it dimmed as she took more and more wounds. Yomen's guards were trying to help her as best as they could, but Yomen knew she wouldn't last. None of them would. So he ran. He ran as far as he could, past screaming skaa and children. Past huddled nobles, mere shadows of their former great selves. He ran to the entrance to the cavern. Maybe it wasn't so bad outside? Maybe Lord Elend had been wrong. Maybe- He came to a sudden stop. Someone else had had the same idea. Several someones, in fact. They were all dead, and Yomen was horrified to see the world on fire outside. He stumbled forward, reaching for the body closest to the outside. They had been scrawling something on the ground. Was it a way to survive? Perhaps a final message? Yomen bent down to see what it was. It was...some kind of song? He had little time to think as he felt a sharp pain his chest. He looked down to see a jagged piece of metal piercing his heart. When had he run out of atium? As his life slipped away and the world ended, he heard a cackling voice. I HAVE WON. ~~~~~~~ Twinstorm was killed! They were a Village Tineye! KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren was killed! They were a Village Thug! And that's the game! Congratulations to the Spiked (Biplet, Sart, and Walin) for winning in a complete sweep. Thank you @little wilson for IMing. This was a smooth game, but I appreciate you being there on standby! And thank you so much to everyone who played. I have many thoughts about how this game went, but I figured I would let y'all talk amongst yourselves a bit first before I give my thoughts. I really hope everyone had fun playing this game, especially because it's my first one since coming back to SE.
