  1. Okay coolio, good to know I’m not just crazy I mean, we are agreeing on a lot. I don’t know why. But I will say that I don’t really have an opinion on Books, and me being sus of Dannex is more because of how others interacted with him and less what he actually said, if that makes sense. Besides that, we are agreeing on surprisingly a lot.
  2. So, I let myself sleep on things a bit. First off: I’m sorry Illwei for voting you. I got all excited about the idea of tying things, plus I felt like I should put my vote where my mouth was and actually go for the tie like I said I would. Though, in my defense, Illwei could’ve died anyway if I’d just taken my vote off like I’d originally planned too before Ash posted. As it is right now, I feel a lot better about Archer than I did before. A lot of that big post he made was really reasonable and I liked the points he made. In addition, I think Ash is village, especially if Dannex is an elim. Unless Dannex encouraged his team to bus him (which doesn’t seem likely considering there’s a vote manip), it doesn’t make much sense for Ash to do a last minute vote on Dannex, especially because we know it couldn’t have been him trying to save elim!Illwei since she flipped village. As for everyone else, I don’t have many reads. I still feel a bit sus about Araris and Elan’s votes, just based on the timing and how back to back they seemed to me (though that could’ve just been because I was back reading and there was in actuality a lot more time between the posts than I remember there being since they just looked back to back to me). I’d be down to exe either of them tomorrow, assuming they survive the night.
  3. I was arguing for the validity of ties in that moment more than anything else. I know I’m contradicting myself, but I’d rather be on an exe that actually has a chance of happening. I’d be fine with taking my vote off completely if everyone agrees to just let the tie go through.
  4. Well, looks like I gotta do this myself. Illwei (4): Archer, Menot, Araris, Elan Randby (1): TJ Dannex (5): Whysper, Illwei, Tani, Quinn, Striker Tani (1): Dannex (sorry for the formatting, on mobile and can’t make it look nice. ) Anyway, Archer because that exe isn’t going anywhere in the next twenty minutes. Dannex because I really don’t think Illwei has been super suspicious at all personally, and as fun as ties are, someone’s gonna break it eventually anyway, so may as well do it myself. EDIT: I was ninja’d while typing this, so didn’t see that Quinn had already made a VC
  5. I mean, personally, it seems like the same sort of suspicion that gets thrown Illwei’s way D1 every game I’ve played with her so far. Obviously, it’s right sometimes (e.g. LG74), but it’s not always right. Just like the suspicion of me D1 always happens but isn’t always right. As for the tie thing, I think leaving things close rather than just all piling onto one player both opens up the possibility for more discussion and forces the elims to interact more, especially if an elim is one of the people up for the exe.
  6. I mean, ties kill someone this game. I think ties are good. If we set up a tie, then if there’s an elim involved the elims have to do something about it, whether that’s through vote manip or just by changing their votes to someone else. Either way, we get information based on what happened after the tie.
  7. Actually, I'm going to change this slot to an LG game. I think it makes more sense that way.
  8. So, here's some quick thoughts on the D1 exe: I think we need to kill someone D1 no matter what. If we don't kill anyone, the elims still will, and we'll be basically just where we started today on D2. May as well get some sort of information today, even if it means hitting a villager. But it could hit an elim (I've been on the receiving end of a D1 elim exe twice ), so may as well try and get something out of D1.
  9. I mean, voting will actually provide more pressure on a player. And if you are feeling a gut elim read on Archer, you may as well go for it, try and get more discussion going. We can't complain about there not being all that many votes and then not go and vote. If you want to get more votes out there, you should vote.
  10. I don't bother with meta arguments all that much, but this does feel different, I think. He's more trying to get a whole bunch of people to claim, which narrows down who the non-highprinces are, and that only benefits the elims this game since they're looking for a specific player. I was operating under the assumption that Elhokar wouldn't get the Highprince doc since he's technically not a Highprince, but I could be wrong. @Matrim's Dice Like Quinn asked: would Elhokar be in the doc? Either way, knowing who all the Highprinces are either lets the elims look for Elhokar in the other players or in the Highprinces themselves, both of which are bad. I think keeping it all anonymous is for the best, because the elims really want to get Elhokar out of the way. They can't really win until he's dead. Even reaching parity when Elhokar's alive doesn't get them the win, I'm pretty sure. And not only that, if they know who all the Highprinces are, they can look at the other players and try and figure out if there's an assassin and take them out.
  11. So, I feel fairly confident leaving my vote on Archer for now. Like others have already said, the Highprinces all coming out to claim favors the elims far more than it does the village. With all of the Highprinces claimed, they have a significantly smaller pool to look through to try and find any of the important village roles. Like we saw in LG74, a bunch of people claiming can screw over the few people not claiming. Archer asking for the Highprinces to claim very much feels like an elim fishing for info, to me.
  12. Hmm, yes, I should've read the rules again a bit more closely. My point still stands: getting contracts into village hands is a good thing, and Highstorms and Democracy are good for that. Even if the elims get their hands on knives, contracts can block those, so all we'd have to deal with is the normal elim kill.
  13. I'll go ahead and add a vote onto Archer as well. This very much feels like an elim-y thing to say, to me. We want to make the village richer as it gives us a chance to get contracts, which can just completely block kills altogether. Doesn't matter if the elims get their hands on knives if we can just make it so no one can do kills at all. And Vengeance is actually good for the village, in my opinion. Ties killing all tied players gives lots of information to the village, and will force the elims to try and do tie breakers when one of their own is on the line, which will give us info when we look at the votes. And Anarchy isn't that bad, though I do think we should wait as long as possible to do it, because getting 8 players to all agree on something doesn't sound fun. A lot easier to do a 50% majority if the player list has already been shrunk a decent bit. The Financial Crisis is a big oof, and will kind of suck no matter when we do it.
  14. Technically, no. The Hps can’t trigger a second one twice before they all have been triggered but they can trigger a single event twice before they all have been. So theoretically they could do the same event N1 and N3 (because no back-to-back), and then have to do the others before repeating any more. If that makes any sense. So...if they do something N2, they can’t do that thing again N4? This is confusing. Maybe I should read the rules again.
