Uhh, that’s not my intent at all. I’m not even trying to eventually shade you, I’m just getting conflicting reads on you between each post. Anyway, I’ve been thinking about some things. We will hit ExLo at D5 if we don’t hit any elims by then and there’s no assassin kill by then either. The best course of action, if we hit N4 without any elim deaths, is to activate the 50% vote majority event. That way on D5, even though it’s ExLo, elims have to all vote on the same player to get the win. And if we’re all on at rollover, we might be able to sneak in after they hammer and hammer one of them. It’d be close, but that’s our best bet at winning if we reach ExLo at D5.

We got 'em boys. Just all gotta vote Araris. I'm keeping my vote on him, anyone gonna join me? Anyway, in terms of who I might be looking to exe tomorrow, I think I'd be down to go for any of Araris, Elandera, or Whysper. I still trust Archer, though I worry that his defense of Dannex was a ploy to try and get village cred. But he's being reasonable again in his latest post, so I'm village reading him again. Also, I recommend that the Highprinces vote for Democracy! next. Getting the half price items the turn after the natural highstorm gives everyone another 2 spheres seems like a good way to get some items in the hands of the players.

Okay, I'm curios about something. Here's the VC when Araris voted on TJ: Dannex (1): Elandera, Araris (2): Quinn, Striker ...well, that tells me nothing really. I didn't realize how early it was when he voted for TJ. I guess I would just ask, @Araris Valerian, why did you not move your vote anywhere, even near the end of the day when it was fairly obvious that the candidates for the exe were either Dannex or Whysper?

At least there were only 3 people that didn't vote. There's gotta be at least 4 elims, right? So, looking at the numbers, at least 1 of the people who voted must be an elim, right? That's how this works, right?? I mean, yeah basically, I just figured that he could actually be an elim this time, with how Araris and Elandera and then eventually Archer and Tani (plus other Whysper voters) were defending him. I guess I was wrong though.

Mine is definitely a joke. I think Dannex is more likely to be an elim than you are and I’m also not a fan of all these votes coming out of nowhere near the end. Though, to be fair, I did ask for people to come on and give their thoughts and/or vote.

I mean, I could see an elim!Dannex and his team knowing that there’s a village vote manip out there who removed a vote off of Dannex, so Dannex claims that he was the spokesperson to see if the actual spokesperson outs themselves to get something out of the Dannexe. I’m not saying I think this is the case, just saying it’s a possibility. EDIT: I was gonna say, the claim also could’ve been done as a way to try and stop the exe on him.

I don’t feel enough of anything either way for Book to decide if I wanna go for them, and Elan is just a mild gut read for me, while I feel like there’s a bit more info we could gain from Dannex’s flip either way. Like, elim!Dannex obviously gives elim points to Araris and Elan and village points to Ash. And while village!Dannex doesn’t clear Araris or Elan or implicate Ash, we do know that the line of reasoning we’ve been following is off, so we can look elsewhere for suspicions.

That's fair, though it was tied between you and Illwei when you voted for Tani. That is also fair, and I won't hold you to their votes. Okay, I'm sorry for saying you bashed it. I'm not necessarily saying the comments about infokilling are AI, but more the fact that all you chose to do to defend yourself was comment about it, if that makes sense. Do you have anyone that you trust?

Well, it's more just that I think all of the evidence with the votes and the timing of the votes (like with you voting for Tani instead of self-pres, or when Araris/Elan voted for Illwei over you) makes it seem like there was an effort to save you. Especially if there's an elim spokesperson and you all knew there was going to be a vote removed from you. And then you came on and mostly just bashed infokilling, which, at this early of a point in the game, isn't all that bad, rather than try and give suspicions of someone else in defense of yourself. So, yeah, I'm elim reading you, I'd say.

I mean, yes, if Dannex flips elim, I'd say it's pretty safe to assume they have a spokesperson, or whatever the vote manip role is called this game.

Maybe they knew that there would be vote manip? Didn't want to be seen going just for self defense? I'm not sure what his vote on Tani could mean. That throws a wrench in things....

You don't need to feel sorry about how you took it. I'm glad you brought up how it made you feel, so I could apologize and clarify things. I mean, yeah, basically. He voted for Illwei at a time when Dannex's exe was rising up and stuff, so if Dannex or Araris flip elim, there's a connection there. I mean, I was just trying to say that my read on Ash is somewhat dependent upon the idea that Dannex is an elim. If Dannex is an elim, then Ash's vote on him right at the end seems really villager-y to me. If Dannex isn't an elim, then Ash's vote on Dannex is NAI. That's basically what I was trying to say. So, I haven't been trying to say that Dannex flipping village clears Araris and Elan. I'm just saying that him flipping village makes them look better than they look right now, not that they can't still be elims anyway. If that makes sense. So, first off, Dannex (Araris), because I think this sums up a lot of why Dannex is a better exe option. At the same time, I am a bit concerned about the Dannex exe because...most of the reasoning has to do with what others have said about him, not much about what he's done himself, if that makes sense? I also just think that he'll probably eat up discussion no matter what happens with him (hmm...sounds familiar ), and his flip can tell us a lot about other people. So I guess I'm conflicted because I don't have much of a read on him, just want to know what his alignment is because of how others have interacted with him. And Dannex just posted...hmm...I can't tell if that's something an elim would say or not. I know being info killed never feels nice (LG73 anyone? ), but like...info kills are best done at the start of the game rather than near the end of the game. @Dannex Do you have any defense for yourself besides "It was just D1 anyway"? Like, just because it was D1 doesn't mean we can't still gain information from it.

I mean...tbh, I wasn't trying to shade you at all, really. I was struggling to remember what you'd done in the game up to that point, and what I could remember was you saying mostly reasonable things (though not what those things actually were), and mostly staying out of the spotlight. Which I was just saying was like, a good place to be as an elim. And my read on you was more because I wanted to give some sort of read. I did say it was just slight elim, and also said you could just be a villager making good points. And the elim read was meant to be more of a thing where, if we go further into the game and don't have many leads, I'd be down for taking a closer look at you. I'm not trying to stop you from making reasonable points or being unable to change up how you're playing at a later point in the game. Hecc, I've changed up how I've played a lot in just the few days that this game's been going. I was all for a tie, then I was voting Dannex, then I decided to tie it again at the last minute. I do want to apologize if it felt like I was shading you a whole bunch. I'm sorry. Well...first off, I think you've either misunderstood that part of my post or I was just unclear. First off, I'm not actually trying to set up exes on Araris, then Dannex, then Ash. I'm saying that I have a village read on Ash right now, and elim reads for Araris and Dannex. And if Dannex flips village, then my village read for Ash diminishes a bit because then he could be an elim who was just voting for a player to die to cause chaos. If either of Araris or Dannex flips village today, I will advocate for keeping the other alive, at least for now. If Dannex flips village, I'm not going to advocate for exing Ash. Just because I think elim!Dannex could mean village!Ash doesn't mean I think village!Dannex for sure means elim!Ash. If that makes sense. As of right now, I don't want to exe Ash at all because I think he's more likely village than not. If any of this doesn't make sense, just let me know and I'll try to clarify it again. ...task failed successfully?

So, this is something I've been thinking about for awhile. I just feel like it's finally time for me to at least say something about this. I feel like someone has to. I feel like we need a better rules system. We need to more clearly define what constitutes breaking the rules, and I think adding a rule about what is okay to add into RP in terms of content (no gruesome violence, nothing with mature undertones, etc). In addition, I feel like, when the rules we do have are broken, there's not often much done about them. At least from what I can see. I've heard of players being warned, but I've not once seen or heard of a player being removed from any games they're in, nonetheless blacklisted. I've seen players banned for things outside of the game, but that came down from the big mods, the mods of the whole site itself. Which brings me to another point. I think the mods need to be more proactive about fixing problems. Yes, often no one can know when a player is feeling hurt unless they go to someone and let them know. But at the same time, there are often times where something can seem fishy or off or things get heated and the mods never step in. One thing that I think could help improve the mods' ability to do this is by having less mods join the games. I know, I know, mods want to play games too, but as a mod, they have a responsibility to the community, to make sure everyone has fun. And by having more mods not in the games, there can be more people who are impartial to the game itself that can step in when things need to be handled. I personally feel like having a single person have to deal with any and all problems that may arise during a game is a lot of pressure to put on one person. If the problem is that there are too many mods that want to play games, then maybe increase the amount of mods for the community. Having a larger mod team (and perhaps one spread out across more timezones) would help with getting issues fixed faster. Having 2-4 people watching a game from the sidelines to make sure everything is going okay and no one's getting hurt is a lot more effective than just 1 person, in my opinion. Anyway, I'm sorry if a lot of this seems really ramble-y, I've just been thinking about this for a bit and wanted to say something, at least get a conversation going. And this doesn't even mention other things I'm worried about, like the competitiveness that seems to be creeping into the games a bit more lately, and the tendency for something to go wrong and someone get hurt nearly every game. But I feel like those are issues that are a lot harder to fix, and I don't know if I have the ideas to work on them. But for the issues I brought up in the main body of this post, I feel like I've got some good ideas for how to help. -
I will say that I agree with this basically. I don't know if it was the question about money that did it for me, but N1!Archer felt a lot more like a villager to me than he did D1. And I agree that the questions was a good idea. Getting discussion going, no matter how it happens, is beneficial for the village. That's kind of why I made that disclaimer, because I remembered what happened to you in LG73.

I think they've been reasonable so far, but like...the sort of reasonableness where I could see an elim being in her position. Like...saying things that make sense and staying somewhat at the edge of the game almost? I think that's a good way to describe it. They could also be village, but I'm leaning slight elim. Not enough for me to want to vote them today, just something I'm going to keep in mind as the game goes on. Step 1: Suggest tying the vote as an elim player. Step 2: Pocket Whysper because she thinks that an elim wouldn't do that. Step 3: ??? Step 4: Profit. Seriously though, I don't understand why you think an elim wouldn't suggest tying the vote? I mean, I think the general trend lately, at least from what I've seen, has been to kill players that will give low info on who the elims might be or kill players who are a threat to the elim team (because of their role or whatever other reasoning the elims might have for thinking they're a threat). And occasionally killing players who are so collectively read as village that there's no chance of them getting exed anyway. For what it's worth, this feels a bit of like...a way to talk about your thoughts on why the kill might've been made while actually knowing why the kill was made. Also, Araris. Everything with his vote on Illwei and the timing of that vote just felt off to me. I'd like to see what his alignment is before we see anyone else's. If he's an elim, then I'd say we take a look at Dannex again. I will say that I do think Dannex is an okay exe target for today, I'd just prefer Araris over Dannex. If Araris is an elim, then Dannex very well could be an elim, and then Ash would probably be one. Also also, before anyone calls me out on this: I know this post talks more about Whysper than it does Araris. I was always planning on voting for him, I just felt the need to comment on some things related to Whysper first. Also also also, I recommend that the Highprinces vote for Democracy! next. I asked Mat about it, and if they vote for that N2, then the marketplace N3 will have the half price items, which will be after everyone's got the extra 2 spheres from the natural Highstorm. Glad I hadn't posted this yet. The assassin gets one NK per game. They're probably waiting to use it at the right moment, which is fair, for a one shot NK.
