Indeed, we know that it isn't always used up. There is an explicit quote in HoA when Sazed says of atium-burning "They did not use up this power but simply made use of it."

Least favourite character in cosmere?
Aeshdan replied to Straff Venture's topic in Cosmere Discussion
No, that's just the point of his punishment. He is compelled by his nature as Truthless to do whatever he is commanded and is still morally responsible for every evil order he follows. He actually says this flat-out in his discussion with Tavarangian "'I am not absolved,' Szeth said, still wary. 'It is a common mistake stonewalkers make. Each life I take weighs me down, eating away at my soul...It is my punishment. To kill, to have no choice, but to bear the sins nonetheless.'" -
Interesting. So obviously these two are immortal, and, guessing from the description, they're probably gods of some sort as well. This world seems to exist only for the two to fight. How'd they get there in the first place and is there any point to their battle?

Dear Brandon, I have many questions, and I'll try to get all the best ones out. 1. Do Stephen's aspects exist in the way bonded spren exist (independent Spiritual and Cognitive aspect but tied to a human.)? 2. Did Razon's camera use the same spiritual gravitational anchors as time bubbles? 3. If two people grabbed the hilt of a Shardblade at the same time and then it got knocked out of their hands, which one could resummon it? 4. How do worldhoppers communicate on all the Cosmere worlds? Is there one universal language? Do they just learn a new language for each world? 5. What would happen if Nightblood and a Shardblade hit each other? 6. What would happen if, right after someone died, they were made into a Lifeless, and then Endowment tried to Return that person? 7. Is Soulcasting mass-conservative (Soulcast a 1kg goblet, you get 1 kg of blood.)? 8. Could vampires survive on Soulcast blood? 9. Does chocolate exist in the Cosmere? Just remembered two more: 1. Is it at all possible for Kelsier to be reincarnated/posess someone/show up as a ghost/whatever and become a character in a future Mistborn book? 2. Can a Feruchemist store an attribute in a metalmind that someone else has already stored in and if so, do the charges affect each other in any way?

Very nice. Does it work the other way (fall asleep, sleep for an hour, wake up and know what's in that book you were reading as though you'd spent two extra hours reading it)?

Very clever. I think this idea makes a lot of sense. It also helps explain why Miles doesn't feel pain (something tapping gold wouldn't do on its own).

The Great Reread - Crossroads of Twilight
Aeshdan replied to Shivertongue's topic in The Wheel of Time
And then she followed it up with her greatest victory, outstubborning the entire White Tower while captive, drugged, and being whipped six times a day. You know, she probably wouldn't have won the final duel with Messanna if she hadn't gone through this first. -
I think you'r right about it being "Coinshots are one of the most common enemies I face." Coinshots are arguably the most powerful combat Misting, or at least a close second to Thugs. There are probably just as many of the other types, they just don't get into gunfights as often.

Theory: The nature of Voidbringes and the Desolations
Aeshdan replied to Lightflame's topic in Stormlight Archive
And not just a full Shardbearer, but the single best duelist in the world, perhaps ever. -
I always thought this referenced Kaladin and Dalinar returning from the Tower.

That is a superpower. A mathematician has proven that toast dropped off a table lands butter-side down 95+% of the time as a consequence of the laws of physics.

the most useless uses for useful powers
Aeshdan replied to king of nowhere's topic in Cosmere Discussion
And even if you are light enough, the surface is constantly jiggling and moving. It would be like trying to walk on the trampoline while six sumo wrestlers are jumping on it. -

Soulcasting: Make yourself new drinks without ever having to get up off the couch. Feruchemy: Store scent and eat enough onions and garlic to stink up a whole Dominance. Great way to win a bad-breath contest. Store taste while eating your veggies and tap it for desert.- 982 replies

I think it's that Mashadar kills by eating the mind and soul, so there's nothing to transmigrate.

I love that game! Only realistic RTS game I've ever discovered! Now why couldn't they make a Stormlight version? (I have Rome and Med2)

First, I was actually asking how the time-camera's effect could move with the earth unless it was using the same grounding network as time bubbles. As for the aspects, I think that they are some kind of purely spiritual entity, (like a spren or a Seon) that he has the ability to create. I think this mostly because 1. the aspects know things he doesn't, and 2. they think and act independently of him.

Jewels seemed pretty happy with it in Warbreaker.
