  1. Speaking of Doc communication... Yeah that's two different factions voting for one player in a short period of time, both factions voting within less than 10 minutes of each other. Just a note. I kinda have to agree with this. Drought's cool.
  2. If this occurs, I will likely go inactive. As cool as that would be I just don't see it happening. Gotta keep things interesting, amiright? And as much of a challenge as it would be I don't know how likely it is. I mean, we're a community of backstabbers as much as we are anything else. Can you really guarantee you'll get enough people for this? I mean, if you do, I'm all for it. And that's all I've got for now. I should probably start making Pms.
  3. I shall sign up as Magus Astrum. And hopefully conquer worlds. And also short days and short nights? Is that a thing that exists? But personally I'm for... Dang, this is actually a really complicated decision. I think I'm for longer nights... Am I allowed to change my decision? Would the length of the day/nights be divided up according to normal standards?
  4. ... I would love to be married by a WorldSmith. That would be great. Ah... I originally didn't intend that faction to be an eliminator faction... They can in fact by the rules of the game win without killing anyone, simply by surviving till the end with items collected from getting them given, or by one of them being the Gunsmith, or something, I think. But that would be sort of boring, and I hope they don't, as the whole item generation thing is super cool. Probably one of my favorite parts of LG(26?) was the Ghostblood faction and all the items that existed in that game. Items are great. There should be more item related games in SE. I like items, can you tell? The Worldsmiths aren't really evil by the way I designed there flavor, but killing to make items is a cool concept... I think it sort of got mashed in there. They're not evil OK? I also am in favor of more factions being part of the proposed rules this cycle. Factions are great. Also maybe more item related rules.
  5. Revising my Rule a bit; Just clarifying some things, maybe adding somethings, choosing which of the two permutations I want for how items are made. There is a faction known as the WorldSmiths since why not, who have a doc, and a win-con, which is to have collectively the most items at the end of the game, and a faction ability, which is the ability to kill a person and create an item with an aspect of that persons role as it's ability every other night cycle, which goes to the player who used the faction kill that night. Items can be given away. The WorldSmiths will comprise approximately 1/5th of the players. Non-WorldSmiths can't win with the WorldSmiths. How Items Work; A normal role'd players death will generate an item that has one of the players normal abilities; A vote, A Life, Access to a Faction Doc, ETC, with the specific items power being determined by RNG. A person with multiple Roles, or a Role with multiple abilities, will generate a single item with one of their abilities, with the specific items power being determined by RNG. Item Names/Flavor, can be determined by the Player, or if the GM's are feeling good about some flavor for an item, they can do it instead. I feel like it would be cool if the items names had something to do with what they did or the role they stole from, but also player-inspired item flavor will probably end up being cooler than whatever I'd think up. Flavor (This could be included in PM's, but whatever the GM's have time for.); At the Dawn of Time, those who found themselves floating in the midst of all that now was, looked, and saw a vast void, filled with raw material. In this void they would seek to fill it, taking the raw components available and forging them into powerful devices, creatures, and even worlds. These few would become known as the WorldSmiths, and their secrets would be passed down from Generation to Generation. You are one of them. Doc Name; Celestial Abode. (A Fancy Font for this would be nice. ) Doc Flavor; In the beginning, when the Cosmere was first formed, and all things were new, a vast, celestial palace was formed for the meeting of the minds of the WorldSmiths. Here, great ideas would be shared, great deeds prepared, and marvelous inventions forged from the souls of men... @AliasSheep, if the flavor is too much, ignore it. And, just to clarify, is my Rule ok? Are there problems with it, things I need to change? Is it clear what I'm trying to have happen? Is not letting other non-Worldsmiths win with the Worldsmiths too much? And yes, I'm super excited about this game and everything that is happening here. It's going to be a very interesting game.
  6. I like night cycles usually because it separates things into two distinct parts; Daylight operations, and Night Actions. Which is why I made my faction's abilities night. Plus, call me old fashioned, but Mafia has day/night cycles. It might just be nostalgia, or liking things the way I first played it. And, if you feel like night cycles don't have anything happening... Well, this is a game where rules are created. Make night cycles more fun.
  7. Name; Magestar Rule; There is a faction known as the WorldSmiths since why not, who have a doc, and a win-con, which is to have collectively the most items at the end of the game, and a faction ability, which is the ability to kill a person and create an item with an aspect of that persons role as it's ability every other night cycle, which goes to the player who used the faction kill that night. Possible Permutations; A normal role'd players death could result in an item that doesn't do anything - Or, it could work like a normal hemalurgic thingie and generate an item that has one of the players normal abilities; A vote, A Life, Access to a Faction Doc, ETC. A person with multiple roles or abilities should probably just generate an item with one aspect of it, but whatever works. Flavor; At the Dawn of Time, those who found themselves floating in the midst of all that now was, looked, and saw a vast void, filled with raw material. In this void they would seek to fill it, taking the raw components available and forging them into powerful devices, creatures, and even worlds. These few would become known as the WorldSmiths. (That's all I got for now. Does Flavor count as more rule than I'm allowed?) Does that seem solid? I think it looks OK. Thought their should be another faction and also I like items. So Bam. If there are problems with this, which I am sure there will be, let me know. If it just needs to be clarified to make it work I can do that, just thought of this and remembered your game, so I thought it would be cool to put in it. If creating an actual faction with abilities and everything is too much then I guess I can drop it. I haven't read all 7 pages thoroughly but I don't think that there are any things like this.
  8. Grumbles about cool games starting when I can't play them
  9. Can't. Wish I could, but I'm leaving on Saturday and I'll be without internet for a week, then with only spotty access for another. Wish I could though. Sorry!
  10. ... Well, I didn't exactly see this coming. But there's a reason I didn't vote on STINK. Not that it matters at this point. Well played, guys. I can't say I had any idea Orlok was evil. Good game. I don't know why I listened to STINK in the first place.
  11. Possibly. Elenion also said you remind him of him, and I tend to have negative reads on Len as well. Also, the fact that Arinian actually was a Stoneward makes me feel better about Eternum. At this point, I'm not confident about our chances of winning. I'm worried STINK might be a Truthless, and I don't know who else to vote on. Elith, the only other person I was suspicious of, won't be back till Friday, so he should probably die by inactivity soon. -sigh-
  12. ... Eternum, you just seem super enthusiastic about everything. I don't know why this is making me feel so odd, but the way you immediately come up with some kind of theory every time new info comes out seems odd to me. And, the main reason I wanted to kill Yitzi, as I said last cycle, was because I was pretty sure either Yitzi or Eternum were evil. Since Yitzi is good, I feel like Eternum must be Evil? I just feel really bad about Eternum. I don't know why. It might just be gut. Like this post. Does this read as off to anyone else? It just seems odd. I mean, it seems like you already know what's going on, or something. It might be your post style. Idk. No... When did I push hard on Lopen? I repeatedly said I was unsure of them, and at one point I felt suspicious of them. If Stink and I were teammates, why wouldn't he just tell me to back off Lopen in doc? I'm perfectly capable of backing off someone I haven't even voted on. Besides, the Elim kills don't match my style, IMO. I don't typically kill newer players, and tend to target people who have played as a Elim with me. Although I suppose the argument could be made that I'm not in control of the kills... Idk. I feel like this is going to be an interesting game to read afterwards. The kill pattern seems odd to me. @Elbereth, apologies if this has already been asked, but is there a difference between; [Player has Died!] and [Player was Killed]? I only ask because both have been used, and I would rather know if there's another kill out there.
  13. Stink has PM'd me explaining and while I'm not entirely confidant it's at least settled with me RN.
  14. Ecth; (1): Sart Roadwalker; (1): Ecth Sart; (4) Jondesu, Eternum, Arinian, Yitzi Lopen; (1) DA, Yitzi; (1) Winter, Mage. And as for why I'm voting on Yitzi, it's because I think I'd get more info out of lynching Yitzi or Eternum than Sart, who I'm not super 'spish of.
  15. Yeah, I don't remember that either. But it's not unusual to assume something like that. 4 or 5 good players with good roles seems pretty balanced for a game this size. But I have to say I'm equally suspicious of both of you RN. And also of lots of other people. But I'm watching you both now. I'm worried that the reason STINK knows who's Evil or not is because he's evil.
  16. I was pretty confused earlier, as I said. I think I'm getting a handle on things now.
  17. ... I feel like it's unusual for you to just say something like this. Hmm. Fine. I'll leave Lopen alone. But if you're evil, I will never trust you again. edit; Could you elaborate on the connection?
  18. I looked over Lopen's posts, and there are a few reasons that I could be suspicious of him, but I don't think that they're any more than what I could say of most people; The people he's lynched have all been good (all our lynches have been good.) occasionally his tone has been off, and there have been a few odd things he's done. (Voting on Orlok.) If I would say things against him, it'd be that it looks like he lead a few of the lynches. And his comment about being hard-cleared 'cause he was attacked was odd. Actually I'm kinda suspicious of him. -sigh-
  19. Actually I'm not sure that STINK is usually less erratic than this. Maybe in the past few games. I think he's been trying to be less erratic. And he seems pretty normal this game, as far as STINK goes. Just a little less active, which I think he explained.
  20. It's mostly your content, which reads as an Elim starting to get confident near the end of the game. The way you're acting looks like the way I've seen other Elims act near their endgame. I'm confusing myself, so I'm just gonna hop out real quick and gather my thoughts.
