  1. Begin RP: Balthazar woke as a crash resounded through the Chasmfiend's shell. They had run aground! And was that a Kholin standing down there, directing the flow of battle? Suddenly Balthazar found himself being pushed down the side of the Chasmfiend. Grabbing one of his swords, he grunted as pain washed across his arm. He slowly pulled himself back up, grabbed the Gemheart, sheathed his swords, and backflipped off of the greatshell. He landed with a grunt, and inhaled Stormlight. It washed across his body, giving him strength. Balthazar grimaced as he took a step. His body was still sore, despite the healing effects of stormlight. He'd have to work on that. Balthazar put up his feet. He was glad to be back in Urithiru, where there were some surprisingly good liqueurs. He had, of course, added some of his own mixtures, but the base had been decent. He leaned back, putting his drink down. He would be quite happy to get drunk at this time of day. He was fairly certain that he could use stormlight to counteract the effects of the drink, so he had allowed himself a few more than usual. Yes, this was a good day. End RP. I also don't see a reason not to execute Quiver. I'm not super suspicious of Alvron, I actually can confirm that there is now a Dustbringer. I did go for it (It was between that and Stoneward, and I decided that Dustbringer suited Balthazar just a little more. I wouldn't mind opinions on that, actually. What do you guys think the best spren for Balthazar? ) And I was notified that another initiate has been chosen. Which, I admit, is rather frustrating. I intend to keep going for it, in the hope that I'll get it eventually. I'm still somewhat suspicious of Arinian, but I'm not sure what exactly we can do about him right now. I'll try and say more later. Just saying, I'm good with a bar fight too.
  2. The real question here is, what the heck happened to my vote on DA? Weird. I'm going to put my vote back on DA for now.
  3. Saying your vote is 'Little more than (reason)', and then proceeding to say that you actually have two reasons besides the reason you gave, sounds like a bit more than 'It's little more than (Reason)', especially when the reason you gave was voting every cycle. Edit; I just realized how hard this is to follow. I wrote it, and I still have trouble following it. What I'm trying to say is; You're statements seem, if not contradictory, a little odd compared to each other.
  4. Aman, I must thank you for making me do all these amazing things. Riding a chasmfiend is probably the most awesome thing I've done yet. The writeup was excellent, and I enjoyed reading it just as much as the others, if not more. Balthazar sat, completely tired out, on top of the massive chasmfiend shell. He had straddled one of the huge spikes, and was resting his head against another, with the gemheart in his lap, and his swords each stuck a foot into the creatures thick hide. He sighed. This was not such a bad position, after all that had happened recently. He wasn't letting go of the Gemheart, at least not until the team made it back to Urithiru. He had prized it out of the very guts of the Chasmfiend itself. It was his prize, rightfully. Balthazar sighed. It was a happy sigh, but a sigh all the same. Everything was going right for once. He was happy, he had been able to exert himself, push himself, and feel like part of a team for the first time in a long time. Storms, he hadn't even thought about IT for days now. Balthazar grumbled. Well, now he had thought of it. Thinking of a day like that was enough to put anyone out. He sighed, and slowly drifted off. I'll hopefully get some discussion and such up in a bit.
  5. I'm rather confused. Why exactly are you voting on me? To preclude you saying 'I'm following Alv', he himself said that his vote was little more than a 'I told myself I'd vote today' vote. As for me, I'm slightly suspicious of DA. Creating a massive group PM like he did A; Has no real benefit that I can see. B; People tend to talk more freely in PMs, so a PM with everyone is a great way for Elims to fish for info. And C; DA's not really done anything to make me not suspicious of him. Alv, I understand that your vote on me might be making me a little biased, which is why I'm not voting on you yet. But this looks like major backtracking to me.
  6. No, I'm not spiked. What more would you like me to say, exactly? I'm actually curious as to what you're referring to. When did I escape you?
  7. -sigh- I hope I don't regret this. Ari. If you're a villager, well, sorry mate.
  8. Again, sorry. Like I said, Tuesday - Thursday's are usually pretty busy for me. I can tell you that, despite my best efforts, I do not yet have a Spren. I've decided which one to go for, I think, and intend to go through with it at some point in the next few cycles. Balthazar opened his eyes, and found himself covered in Chasmfiend gore. He was still holding the gemheart, and some... thing was trying to pry it from his fingertips. He looked up, and to his horror he saw a dreaded face; one of the Voidbringers which Captain Kaladin had told him about. Spewing bile in the things face, Balthazar rolled over, bringing his sword – still in his hand, thank the almighty – up, cutting deep into the creatures shell. Scrabbling with his left hand for his other sword, Balthazar lashed out with his foot in an effort to keep the creature off of him. Grasping his other sword, he brought it around into the creatures head. Balthazar stood up, grunting. More Voidbringers were slowly surrounding him. He turned towards the Chasmfiend. It would be easy to defend the top of that thing. Slinging the gemheart across his back, Balthazar gripped his swords. This could get messy.
  9. Sorry 'bout the activity. I'll tend to be slightly less active during the week - especially tuesday - thursday. I need to catch up on the thread, and although I'm not sure we should be killing Arinian, (Don't know why we imprisoned him, actually), I do think we should start killing the imprisoned. It doesn't make a lot of sense to just leave all of them there. Some, however, we can just put in there for safe keeping. Probably.
  10. Lopen. I'm not really suspicious of you. I was just following the joke, and agree with Bugsy that we probably shouldn't leave the votes up.
  11. The Mighty Lopen, I might as well keep this train of voting on the person before you. To answer your question, Alvron, I am not a Coinshot. Unfortunately.
  12. Balthazar stood. The Chasmfiend had begun to shake even more wildly, and Balthazar felt the need to dig into something more safe. He cut his way up and out of the stomach. Gore had quickly engulfed him, but his swords – half-shard Whitespine tusks carved into blades – were strong, and cut it away easily. He braced himself against the creatures innards as it shook itself. As the creature shook, Balthazar felt his foot hit something hard. He turned in shock, and what he saw sent him into bouts of hard, disbelieving laughter. He reached down, and felt the creature slam into the ground. He braced himself, and pulled. He felt the Chasmfiend begin to move, and his mind reoriented itself as he felt the fiend – no it was impossible – execute a roll? But he held on, and succeeded in ripping out the GemHeart. He grinned, a terrible thing. He hadn't felt this good in, oh, in ages, not since he had last slain a whitespine. He began to work his way out of the stomach, cackling. Tides of bile flowed past him, knocking one of his swords out of his hands, but it propelled him outwards. He could feel the things inner teeth lacerating him, but it didn't matter now. With a triumphant exclamation, he forced his way out of the Chasmfiend's mouth. He roared in exultation, holding the GemHeart aloft. And then he collapsed, unable to keep himself up. But he kept laughing. What days these were! What days.
  13. Sort of. I'm not loving the way STINK is acting, but now, having looked back over it, I'm not sure if it's a lot different than he acts normally. I have a couple ideas about who else might be an Elim if STINK is, but I'm not sure if that's a good reason to lynch him. So I'm actually going to take my vote off of him. STINK. El. My reasons for voting on her are the same as before, plus, I this would be the second game in a row that El went somewhat inactive as an Elim. Like I said earlier, if you guys want to lynch me, that's fine. I'm not going to defend myself, since I don't think I've been as helpful as I could have been, and I doubt if my death will effect the outcome of the game.
  14. With your posts being about a sentence long each, it's not hard to agree with them.
  15. Ya know, I seriously considered not saying that. But I felt I needed to. Ah well.
  16. I'll vote for STINK as well. I have reasons I'll explain later, when I have time. Every time I look at this game, I keep getting surprised I'm alive. I usually don't survive games this long. -sigh- I suppose this means the Elims don't see me as a threat. And there goes my ego.
  17. Balthazar sat in the dark recesses of the Chasmfiend stomach. It was, as he had expected, fairly large, for a stomach. But it wasn't quite as big as he had hoped. He could barely stand up straight, forced up against the walls as he was, and as acid splashed against him, he wondered if this had been a good idea. He had spent the first while slashing at the walls of the stomach, and a good bit of it's contents were now pouring out into other areas... Well, at least the level of acid was dropping. Now to find his way out. Aman, if I get spontaneously killed, feel free to have me die right after tunneling my way out.
  18. When I'm not playing, I would always request a link. There's not really a reason not to. Or maybe I payed him to be a spiked, too. OooOOooooOooo.
  19. That's a good point. I'll work on Balthazar slicing his way out of it's dead carcass, but it might not be up till tomorrow.
