My guess is that it's self-perpetuating, mainly because the difference in Investure doesn't need to be that big. Ruin can defeat Preservation even if he only has about 0.0000001% more Investure. See it in this way, each Shard receives the same amount of damage, but Ruin has 1 HP more, which means that he will always win.
Granted, your bane is that any time you hear a different language your IQ drops two points. (and I'm guessing you live in Germany, so good luck with that)
My wish is that it would only rain after 12 P.M. Greenwich Time and that it stops before 7 P.M. Greenwich Time, and that the amount of rain stays below the level needed to cause floods.
On the topic of Feruchemical Duraluminium, don't Soulstamps work using connection? Because in that case, you could achieve something similar to Shai's fighter Essence Mark, although this would require lots of training, I don't think you can change your Connection so precisely so easily.
Edit: Used the correct metal, thanks @Shadeshadow227
The names using a 'H' aren't blasphemous, they use the 'H' as a way to make it symmetrical, thus a good name, but it isn't truly symmetrical, so it isn't blasphemous. Shallan talked about it with Pattern (can't remember the chapter).
The problem is that some planets, such as Roshar have been stated to have existed befor the shattering, with spren already there. For spren to exist, the three Realms should have existed before the Shattering. Furthermore, we have confirmation that magic already existed before the shattering, such as Yolen Lightweaving.
I'm kind of wondering how that happened, but I think it is better to just ignore it. I'm just hoping that the Dark Alley will become a bit more active now.
Actually, according to the Coppermind a Shardpool doesn't even have to be connected to a Shard, it can also be just a collection of Investure (the pool in Sixth of Dusk).
We have confirmation that Vin was extremely special and that her ability with using metals was a lot above that of other Mistborn, which was the reason why she was able to gain such prowess with Allomancy in such a short time.
There was thread where they talked about this, but I can't find it.
P.S.
This thread would be better in the Mistborn forum.
I don't know about the others, but the Rithmatist similarities come from the fact that Sanderson first intended to have it as Cosmere, but later decided that he didn't want earth to be Cosmere.
