So, seeing that there is currently a sale on Elantris, I decided to buy the tenth anniversary edition, but the google store gives the date 1 april 2007, so what is happening here? https://play.google.com/store/books/details/Brandon_Sanderson_Elantris?id=ZnHFzj4wKIQC P.S. Not sure if it makes you immortal, but Dakhor does increase your lifespan (unless you leader needs to travel a few kilometers for his appointment). (Elantris spoilers)

First of all, that was quite a few posts ago, and second, with the way magic in the Cosmere works these kind of things are quite relevant to discussions, iron feruchemy works by changing you interaction with the Higgs field for example (http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/52552-new-information-about-iron-feruchemy/).

Can I just ask here for joining? I'm mainly interested in appearance modification using hemalurgy cookies (spike a squid give a squid a cookie, then stick it in you eat it and get tentacles. Stuff like that). Selling cookies is going to be harder, with people actively warning others in the intro threads.

Quite interesting with the Kholins and bonding spren is that bonding them require a cracked soul, so what does that say about the family?

Does the Old Magic actually give you magic abilities? Because I think that the Nightwatcher just changes the person making the wish in some way, or gives them something. It doesn't actually enable them to use magic. I think you can compare it with Kandra. They have special abilities, but don't actually use magic (except for the hemalurgy that gives them sentience, perhaps Mistwraiths are a better example).

Urban fantasy, but with portals to other worlds, with stuff like high fantasy. Also, it needs to have Sanderson level magic systems and cosmology.
